Following up on my post about the Rancho Laguna playground being removed, the fundraising has already begun for the new playgrounds set to be installed by June 2012.
The Parks and Recreation Commission is attempting to raise $100,000 to cover the costs of the new playground by the end of this calendar year. Renderings of the proposed new playground design are expected to be ready in the next few weeks.
Donations for the new playground fund can be sent to the Moraga Park Foundation, Attn: Rancho Laguna Park Playground Fund, P.O. Box 302, Moraga, CA 94556.
The Moraga Junior Women’s Club kicked off the fundraising drive with a $4,000 donation.
