Carl Blake Miller, an Orinda man formerly in charge of a real estate investment group, pleaded not guilty today to nine felony counts against him, including embezzlement, forgery and filing false documents.

Miller is believed to have embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from clients of Geneva Real Estate Investments. There is believed to be more than 175 victims of Miller’s crimes.

Miller is also accused of taking $16,000 from Orinda’s Boy Scout Troop 327. Although Miller returned the money, the original taking of the money is still a felony crime.

Miller is due back in court on September 22.

I knew Carl decades ago. I have been searching your site to see the outcome of the Sept. 22, 2011 hearing. Did Carl go to prison for his felony crimes? I have been unable to find anything since the July 2011 posts. Any info you could provide or direct me to would be appreciated. Thanks.
