The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team has blossomed under Randy Bennett during his 10 years as head coach. As a reward for the success he has brought, the school has signed him to a new 10-year contract.

During his ten years as coach, Bennett has won more games than any other basketball coach in school history, lead the team to their first postseason victories ever (including a trip to the Sweet Sixteen in 2010), and lead the first player to be drafted from the program into the NBA since 1984 (Patrick Mills in 2009). He has a career record of 208-112 at Saint Mary’s.
