The Miramonte High School Parents’ Club today sent out an update on Ryan Buchanan, the Orinda teen who was critically injured at a Santa Cruz beach when a sand tunnel he was digging collapsed on him, as well as information on how to help the Buchanan family.

Buchanan remains in a vegetative state at the George Mark Children’s House in San Leandro, and visitors are welcome, the parents’ club said:

Miramonte Parents’ Club Helping Hands committee has begun an effort to support the family. There are several ways you can help:

  • Provide a dinner.  Contact Neva Mills for schedule information.
  • Walk the Buchanan’s dog, Jagger. Click Here to sign up.
  • Support the renovations to the Buchanan’s home which are required for proper care of Ryan. Contact Neva Mills for more information.

Updates on Buchanan’s progress will be posted here.
