Lamorinda art update

The Lafayette Gallery has an exhibit titled “What Makes Us Smile” on display through Saturday. The exhibit features the work of local artists depicting personal and universal pleasures through painting, prints and a variety of other media. The Lafayette Gallery, located at 50 Lafayette Circle, is open 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and is free to the public.

The Saint Mary’s College Museum of Art will open three new exhibits on Oct. 2, which will run through Dec. 18. The Hearst Gallery will have the exhibit “The Comprehensive Keith: A Centennial Tribute,” featuring landscape paintings by William Keith. The new galleries on campus will feature the exhibits “Masks and Costumes from the Ethnographic Collection” and “Reflections in Time: Photographs by Stanley Truman from the Permanent Collection.” The galleries are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
