St. Mary’s College will host the lecture, “Faith and Forgiveness: Surviving the Rwandan Genocide,” by ImmaculĂ©e Ilibagiza, a Tutsi survivor of the Rwandan genocide.

The lecture will be this Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Soda Activity Center on campus. The event is free and open to the public; however, an RSVP to Ryan Lamberton at 925-631-4015 or rml4@stmarys-ca.edu is required.

Ilibagiza wrote a book about her experience in the genocide. The book, “Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust,” became a New York Times bestseller. Ilibagiza survived the genocide by hiding in the bathroom of a pastor for 91 days after her entire family was killed.
