The Miramonte boys water polo team won one of the most dramatic games of the year Thursday night, as the Matdors pulled out a 6-5 victory over rival Acalanes in Miramonte’s home pool. The win sends the second-seeded Matadors into the NCS Division 1 championship game against San Ramon Valley Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Acalanes High School.
The Campolindo-Acalanes girls water polo semifinal may have been the most dramatic game of the night, as the teams exchanged leads and fought hard throughout the match. In the end, the Cougars won 10-9 to move on to the NCS Division 2 championship game where they will face off against Las Lomas. The Cougars will have a home game in the final, as the Soda Aquatic Center at Campolindo is the location of the championship game. It will be played Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
