Two new businesses are opening up at the Rheem shopping center.

The Moraga Planning Commission approved both at its Nov. 7 meeting, according to the town’s biweekly newsletter.

The first, a gift shop selling toys and jewelry, will open next to Royal Siam restaurant. The other will be a temporary store for the Kiwanis Club of Moraga Valley to sell See’s candy for the holidays. The Kiwanis’ store will be open from Nov. 18 to Dec. 24.

The Town Council and Planning Commission will also hold a joint meeting Nov. 30 to discuss the future of the Rheem center.
