Despite the Miramonte boys water polo team being the number two seed in the NCS Divison 1 Boys Water Polo playoffs, many saw them as a major underdog in the final against top-seeded San Ramon Valley. The Matadors fought hard throughout the game, earning an 8-7 win in overtime. The Matadors finished the season with a 21-6 overall record.
The Campolindo girls water polo team could not repeat as champions in the NCS Division 2 Girls Water Polo playoffs. The Cougars ran into the top seed, Las Lomas, in the final Saturday. Las Lomas controlled the game throughout, winning 10-5. The Cougars finished the season with a 20-6 record.
