Campolindo volleyball out of NCS

The Campolindo girls volleyball team had high hopes of repeating as the champions of the NCS Division 3 playoffs after last year’s team went on to win the state title, but those dreams came to an end Wednesday night.

The second-seeded Cougars won the first set, 25-21, against the visiting third seed, Albany High School, but Albany bounced back with a dominating performance in the second set, winning it, 25-14.

Albany finished the match up by winning the third and fourth sets, 25-19 and 25-17, respectively.

The loss knocked the Cougars to 20-11 overall on the season, which included the DFAL title.
