Campolindo football advances

The Campolindo football team continued their perfect season on Friday night in the first round of the NCS Division 3 playoffs. The Cougars, the third seed, beat Hercules, the 14th seed, 58-21, at the Cougars’ home stadium. With the win, the Cougars improved to 11-0 on the season.

The Cougars will host the sixth seed, Bishop O’Dowd, in the quarterfinals next Saturday, Nov. 26, at 7:00 p.m. Bishop O’Dowd is 9-2 overall this season.

Fifth-seeded Miramonte hosts the 12th seed, Tennyson, tonight at 7:00 p.m. in their first round game. If the Matadors win, they will face off against the fourth seed, Encinal, next Friday night in the quarterfinals.
