The Saint Mary’s men’s soccer team advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament with a 3-2 overtime win against Brown on Sunday night. They become only the second team in school history in any sport to make it to the Elite Eight of an NCAA Tournament (men’s basketball did it in 1959).

The team will travel to Chapel Hill to play against national number one seed North Carolina in the Elite Eight game this Saturday, Dec. 3, at 2:00 p.m.

An upset win over North Carolina would send the Gaels to the Final Four in Hoover, Alabama the following weekend.
