The Campolindo football team’s season has been nothing short of a dream. The Cougars were picked to finish last in the DFAL. A perfect 10-0 regular season clinched a DFAL title for the Cougars.

They followed that up with one of the most dramatic games of the high school football season in the NCS semifinal, beating Cardinal Newman, 35-24, after trailing 21-0 early in the game.

The Cougars took their talent to the Oakland Coliseum Saturday night for the NCS Division 3 championship game where they faced off against undefeated number one seed, Marin Catholic. Despite leading for the majority of the game, the Cougars fell behind 18-17 with just over two minutes left.

The Cougars offense drove down the field, and sophomore kicker, Cristian Antezana, hit the game-winning field goal as time expired to give the Cougars the NCS title.

It was announced today that the Cougars will play for the CIF Division 3 State title against Washington Union-Fresno on Saturday at noon in Carson, Calif.
