Saint Mary’s speaker series

Saint Mary’s College will be holding a speaker series in January, bringing three voices to share their views and opinions on a variety of topics. All of the lectures are free and open to the public. They are held in the Soda Activity Center on campus.

Jan. 10, 7:00 p.m.: Jeanne Woodford, executive director of Death Penalty Focus, will talk about the death penalty in California

Jan. 17, 7:00 p.m.: Rebecca Solnit, a historian and author, will discuss the intersection of private and public life in times of chaos

Jan. 24, 7:00 p.m.:¬†Ariel Luckey, an activist and hip-hop artist, will present a lecture called “Free Land: Race and Land in the United States”
