The giant mural at the Orinda BART station is likely leaving the BART station and heading to a different location in Orinda.

The Orinda Historical Society, owners of the mural, have asked the city for permission to move the mural.

A new location for the mural has not yet been finalized; however, its likely new destination will be somewhere near Orinda’s Community Park.

The empty space at BART will be filled with new public art, as well as some new BART-related signs.
