Record-setting S.A.F.E. Drive

The Moraga Police Department, along with the help of the citizens of Moraga, broke their previous S.A.F.E. Drive record this year.

The S.A.F.E. (Stuffed Animals for Emergencies) Drive is organized by the Moraga Police Department as a way to collect stuffed animals that officers in the field can give to children who have just gone through potentially traumatizing situations.

A total of 1,687 stuffed animals were donated as part of this year’s drive, breaking the previous record of 1,578 stuffed animals that were donated during last year’s drive.

The stuffed animals were placed in Moraga patrol vehicles and were sent to the Long Beach S.A.F.E. chapter, which disperses the stuffed animals to more than 40 locations.
