The Lamorinda Spirit Senior Van Program is set to add a new minivan to their program with the help of a federal grant.

If the program can raise $5,047, then the federal grant would cover the remaining $38,953 of the $44,000 purchase price of the van.

The van includes special handicap features to transport  seniors who are in wheelchairs.

To make a contribution to the fund, mail it to Lamorinda Spirit Van Program, Lafayette Senior Services, 500 Saint Mary’s Road, Lafayette, CA 94549.

The program drives seniors in the Lamorinda area to medical appointments and a variety of other destinations during weekdays. Round trip fares are $10 to help fund the program.
