Lafayette resident Mo Levich has won the Jefferson Award for Public Service for his volunteer work in the local music scene.

Levich is a founding member of the Generations in Jazz Foundation, the director of the Big Band of Rossmoor, and has spent countless hour helping with the Lafayette Summer Music Workshop.

Levich, who is the CEO of Lafayette’s Employerware, is not unfamiliar to receiving awards. He was also honored as Lafayette’s Business Person of the Year in 2007.

Levich appeared on the CBS 5 newcast tonight receiving his award. The award acceptance will be shown again on tomorrow’s noon broadcast of the news.
