The Acalanes Union High School District Governing Board officially approved the appointment of John Walker as the new principal at Campolindo High School at their meeting this week.

Walker is currently the assistant principal at San Ramon Valley High School. Walker has also previously worked as a teacher at San Ramon Valley, St. Mary’s High School in Berkeley and schools in the Boston area.

Walker will officially become the principal on July 1 after the current principal, Carol Kitchens, retires. Kitchens has spent the past 12 years as the Campolindo principal and the past 39 years in education.

There will be a reception in the Campolindo Library on Thursday, May 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., for parents and students to meet John Walker.
