A motorcyclist collided with a truck this morning on Highway 24, sending the motorcycle and its driver crashing to the ground, according to California Highway Patrol.

According to CHP, the driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken from the scene in an ambulance. No injuries were reported for the driver of the truck.

The crash happened shortly before 9:00 a.m. on westbound Highway 24 near the Pleasant Hill exit. The crash and resulting medical and police attention has one lane blocked. The one lane closure slowed down morning commute traffic, but traffic seems to be flowing back to normal at this time.
