Boy Scout Troop 241 of Lafayette recently honored six of their new Eagle Scouts at a ceremony at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center.

The six new Eagle Scouts are Benjamin Bachman, Roland Barlier, Blake Eames, Alexander Grover, Ryan Prescott and Matthew Quinn.

In order to receive the honor of becoming an Eagle Scout, each scout had to complete a community service project. The community service projects completed by the six new Eagle Scouts include building an outdoor classroom and new bleachers at Acalanes, remodeling the Lafayette Community Center playground, and building a new picnic table in Briones Regional Park.
