“West Side Story” at the Lafayette Library

There will be a special screening of the film “West Side Story” in the Lafayette Library and Learning Center’s Community Hall next Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The screening is part of the “Dance on Film” Series sponsored by Diablo Ballet.

“West Side Story” won 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and is famous for its musical dancing scenes.

There will also be pre-screening and post-screening discussion and Q&A sessions with local film critic Beau Behan and Diablo Ballet’s Artistic Director Lauren Jonas.

The screening is open to the public and costs $5 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 925-283-6513 x101 or emailing .
