High school softball update

The Acalanes Dons continue to be having the best season of the three Lamorinda softball teams competing in the DFAL. The Dons are currently tied for second place in the DFAL with a 6-4 league record and a 14-7 overall record. The Dons have clinched a spot in the NCS playoffs.

Campolindo’s softball team is in fifth place in the DFAL, but they are only one game out of second place with their 5-5 league record. The Cougars are 11-9 overall and look to be headed to the NCS playoffs as well.

The Miramonte softball team has had a tough year, winning just 4 games and losing 12. The Matadors have lost all 10 of their DFAL games and have lost most of those games by more than 10 runs. The Matadors have two more DFAL games (at Acalanes and vs. Campolindo) to try and earn a league win.

High school baseball update

The Campolindo baseball team continues to be one the strongest teams around, compiling a 17-4-1 overall record this season. The Cougars are currently ranked #4 in the state as well. A loss to Acalanes on May 1 saw the Cougars lose sole possession of first place in the DFAL though. The Cougars are tied for first in the DFAL with Dougherty Valley with 8-2 league records.

The Acalanes baseball team has been getting stronger as the season progresses, including the win over Campolindo. The Dons sit just one game back from first place in the DFAL with a 7-3 league record. They are 16-6 overall.

Miramonte’s baseball team has struggled in league play, compiling a 3-7 DFAL record. The Matadors are 12-8 overall though due to a good nonleague record, which should see them earn a spot in the NCS playoffs.

They also have two non-conference games left against Sacramento State and UC Davis.

The St. Mary’s softball team has had a successful season and are set to play in the PCSC Championship Series this weekend against Portland State to determine the conference champion. The Gaels are 26-21 overall, but they stormed through the PCSC to compile a 15-4 conference record.
