Movie in Lafayette Plaza for Halloween

Free movies in parks have become popular events organized by cities throughout the Bay Area, and Lafayette will officially be doing a test run on Halloween Eve.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, the movie “Monsters, Inc.” will be shown in the Lafayette Plaza with a scheduled start time of 7:00 p.m. The movie screening will be free to the public. All those attending the screening are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes.

The event has been jointly planned by the City of Lafayette and the Chamber of Commerce. If the event is successful, it is possible that movie screenings in the Lafayette Plaza could become a regular event.

The movie screening is open to the public and is free to attend. Food and beverages will be available at the movie, or those attending can bring their own food as well.

In addition to the movie, a raffle will be held with a variety of prizes including copies of the movie “Up.” Raffle tickets will be available before the movie starts.
