A vigil was held for Shaneice Davis killed in her bed by a stray bullet as she lay sleeping on April 7 in East Oakland. Watch the video as Consuelo Starks talks about her daughter's death.

Im so sorry 4 the loss Mrs.Starks, its not gonna be easy but God and his son Jesus Christ has your back always and your daughter was a very beautiful young lady. this is so tragic 2 me, I cried when i read about it on the internet so innocent, so young. but I will be praying 4 u and your loved ones .

I love you with all my heart. You were such a beautiful person inside and out. You was very talented and had alot going for yourself. I rememeber when you were a baby. You were so respectful and was a good mother. Kamari was your life and I will help out taking care of her. When I look at her she reminds me of your beautiful face. You sure knew how to brighten up a persons day. I miss your smile, your mannerism, the respect you had for yourself and others. We would sit up and talk about all sorts of things and I can truly say Shaneice you was becoming such a mature young lady. I miss sitting on the couch asking you to get me and DOT a comforter so we can relax and watch TV in the living room. Adrianna and I have been there for your mom Cha Cha, sister Figgy and your daughter Kamari (Bugg Bugg) and will continnue to be. It is so hard for all of us. You will always be remembered. I didn't know her personally, but I was touched by this terrible loss. I followed this story since dayone, and have kept the family in my prayers. This is the part of life that we don't understand, and we sometimes question God. But I have come to realize in this walk, that God is to wise to make mistakes and we all have an appointed time here on earth. Shanice only lived a short time, but in that shourt time she has touched so many lives. And now her legacy will live on through her family and her gorgeous daughter. God Bless, and be encouraged. God will give you a peace that will surpass everything. And to her mom, if by chance she is reading this. Know that God is going to work alot of things in your favor. The devil meant this for your evil, and to try to destroy you. But be confident in knowing that God is going to bless you through this. Things that you have wished and prayed for, it shall come to pass. God Bless you
