The poor man’s art show

In the belief that art should be affordable for everyone (”no exception, no regrets!”), FLOAT Gallery is hosting the Poorman’s Art Show, beginning today. All artwork is priced between $1 and $50. Just pick out the piece you want, rip it off the wall and go to the cashier. To top it all off, there is an art party at the gallery 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday with DJ Adams and Bonscott of “WaxOnWaxOff” Productions, who will be spinning funk, hop-hop and jungle. And what bargain-basement art sale would be complete without some Pabst Blue Ribbon? I don’t know but tell me if you can think of something and send some digital photos if you buy any pieces. I’ll put it up on the blog. FLOAT over to 1091 Calcot Place, Unit #116. FMI: info@thefloatcenter.com or www.thefloatcenter.
