I misread. Let me know where you find it this weekend.

That was very Walt Frazier of Paul Pierce last night. It’s not the reason the Lakers lost though.

Pau Gasol is no Shaq. Look for Kobe to go back to his old ways and try to do everything on his own.

The Lakers got beat by the better team last night. Period. No excuses are valid.

  • Dakota Killa #99

    hey Ex -

It would have been a tear jerker if it was Kobe though right? I’m beginning to like you bro but Laker fans in general need to get a grip. I just hope you are still around when the Lakers continue to lose. They are clearly overmatched.

  • Raider4life

Killa they were the better team LAST NIGHT. Lakers are overall the better team and we will see that on Sunday. Lakers weren’t ready to play and that BS stunt did take away what little momentum they had going. Kobe will take over from here on and will Jordanesque.

    exla,
I am gonna try to get it at Raider Image, otherwise I will order it online.

  • Exlaraiderseasonticketholder

    Killa,
Win or lose, I’m always around.

  • Dakota Killa #99

    Exla -

Respect for that. I am the same way, but you already know that considering I am a Raiders fan ;)

    R4L -

We shall see. I still worry about your money. I won a bit of scratch myself last night. I even won 2 bets with fools that bet me the Lakers would sweep.

  • blandafan

Any of those six years “voidable”?

  • Dakota Killa #99

    I’ll be back later.

Look for the media to put some kind of negative spin on the McFadden signing. They are already bitching about not getting a heads up from the Raiders over at pft.com. Pretty lame really. Ask LMN, he knows.

    Have a good day y’all.

  • La Milicia Negra

    OakGlenn…

I didn’t say I didn’t like your posts… I just said I thought you were DK#99 and the stork fella

  • Dakota Killa #99

    LMN -

To clear things up to you and all, I am not MR or Oakglenn but I do fall on the Oakglenn side of the fence. I used to post under a different name but I assure you that I am neither MR or Oakglenn.

Oakglenn is a good guy. Mistabrown and MR need to cut the dude some slack.

    Now I’m outro…

  • Florida Pete

i think the Raiders would crush the Celtics…

    literally…

  • Raider4life

Killa–I wasn’t about to bet on last nights game alone. Don’t even worry about my cash tho cuz it is safe I’m tellin ya. Only was the media is gonna put negative spin on DMac is if he brings the CrownVic out here to Oakland. Needs to upgrade to the black Escalade.

  • La Milicia Negra

    DK#99

thanks for clearing that out, it was obvious you were a regular and I just assumed you were OakGlenn…

    Oakglenn sorry =)

  • La Milicia Negra

    On another note….

    Anthos….

the talent you talked about, from Mexico is going to Spurs… I think its a good move, Ramos will use him as he should!

Anybody hear any news about Madsen during this mini-camp? I wonder if he is gonna be the odd man out for the TE position with Wakefield, Stewart, Strong, and Reece all fighting for back-up roles behind Miller.

  • Raider4life

BBB–Didn’t hear any news on Madsen at mini-camp, but he is a good, solid backup tight end and can be use as a wide out too. Unless he is hurt I think his spot is safe.

  • http://www.pillage-plunder.com BART Bridge Balla

I really liked Madsen last off-season, he has really good hands, catches everything thrown at him, but when the season started he never got any playing time. I know he is a big liability as a blocker, so Kiffin may not trust him as a back-up.

I wish Jerry would tell us who is playing on 1st, 2nd and 3rd team offense and defense.

  • La Milicia Negra

    BBB…

yeah you’re right we almost forgot about Madsen… But do you think that when Bush and McFadden catches the ball so well that they would line-up in situations where a guy like Madsen normally would have been used??

I like Madsen, Madsen is a Danish Surname, so its great to a tiny touch of Denmark on our raiders, but if he’s cut it gives us a rosterspot to another guy

  • TrueRaider

Guys how come none of y’ll saying anything abt the offensive line. This is what our coach kiffen said abt that position.

Q: How are the offensive tackles holding up?

A: Not so great when it comes to pass protection.

New left tackle Kwame Harris is still learning the new blocking scheme, and at times it showed during 11-on-11 drills. Returning right tackle Cornell Green struggled to contain edge rusher Derrick Burgess.

As for second-year tackle Mario Henderson, he remains a work in progress who must become more physical, Kiffin said. Consider this an area of concern.

  • TrueRaider

we really need good pass blockers from either trading Jordan for them or getting them from free agency. I seriously think for the past 4 yrs our problems was clear, pass blocking and run stopping, if we could that I think we would have been in the playoff.

  • http://www.pillage-plunder.com BART Bridge Balla

    LMN,
It seems like all of us fans liked what we saw from Madsen last off-season, but there are a lot of factors that don’t seem to bode well for him.
    1. Our pass-blocking is gonna be a problem this season, so blocking TE’s will be favored over pass-catching TE’s (Madsen only ways like 230 lbs)
    2. This will be Madsen’s 3rd season and he has not produced at all during the regular season; there are several dynamic rookie offensive threats like Rankin, Reece, Shields, and Schilens that will be pushing for that roster spot.
    3. We have a lot more 3rd down/red zone pass catching threats than we did last season (Bush, McFadden).

Maybe Jerry will give us a mini-camp overview today after the McFadden press-conference, to let us know how some of these fringe players are faring.

  • Finzel

Hmmm, is someone new working in the office or did Al chew a monkey gland? Good work. McFadden reminds me of another #20 from long ago, Billy Sims, a slasher who could get downfield under passes. Sims took the Lions fro 2-14 to 9-7 in one year. Wish for even better luck and a long career from McFadden. Welcome aboard!

  • Dakota

I am in a dark place today. I am having flashbacks to 2004. The new “nice” Dakota is now dead. I may go postal…

  • Mistabrown

OakGlenn, nobody mentioned your perspective although that is VERY questionable considering your support for RR. The fact that you post under several different names is the most disturbing thing about you lil feller..

  • Mistabrown

And OakGlenn, it seems the people that enjoy your perspective the most are the names you create to support yourself…

Just an observation, get meds man!

    To the authorities…just kidding around!

Maybe, lol. We’ll see how game two goes first.

  • KIrk

When your small forward(Pierce) outrebounds the other teams power forward(Odum) and your 38 year old dinosaur(P.J. Brown) outrebounds the other team’s center(Gasol), you are playing a soft team.

The Celtics are much tougher than the Lakers.

  • La Milicia Negra

    Dakota…

I feel sorry for you, I know how bad you can feel after an important loss… did you see my posts to you earlier up?

  • Raider4life

Lsst night will all be forgotten after the Lakers win on Sunday.

  • NorthPhillyRaider

idk if anyone posted the details of the contract yet, if so i am going to post them again. 6 yrs $60 mil $26 guaranteed.

  • http://www.pillage-plunder.com BART Bridge Balla

10 off-season questions that I would love for Jerry to shed some light on.
    1. Will Chris Morris take over the long-snapping duties from Jon Condo?
    2. Can Trevor Scott take over the wedge-buster duties from Ekejiuba?
    3. Can Branch take over the gunner duties from Jarrod Cooper?
    4. How many WR’s will we carry, and who will they be?(Carter, Walker, Curry, Watkins, JLH and Schilens is my initial guess)
    5. If Harris fails as a LT, the back-up is Seth Wand, a journeyman tackle from the Texans zone system, how competent is he to protect JR?
    6. Is Hartwell gonna play at MLB or SOLB, if at all?
    7. Who is gonna back-up Howard on the weak-side?
    8. Who is gonna back-up Huff at free-safety?
    9. Who will be the dime and quarter cornerbacks after Stanford Routt? (Bowie, Waddell, Brown, Johnson)
    10. Who will stop the run?? (cue CCR music) Sands is playing with the 2nd team, Warren is streaky at best, Joseph/Shaw/Kelly are three-technique guys.

  • Dakota

Yeah, thanks for that LMN. No worries, I am just kidding around. I will get over it…I still think the Lakers win the series. Kobe took awful shots and Lamar did his disappearing act and Paul P. did his Willis Reed impression and the Lakers still almost won. Now, if we lose game two, the pressure is on to win all three in LA…tough proposition.

  • Tonio

Raiders have scheduled a press conference for 11 a.m. today with McFadden and coach Lane Kiffin.

any ideas if this’ll be carried online or on the radio?

  • Tonio

    Good questions BBB…

  • La Milicia Negra

is it best of 5 or 7?

  • Mistabrown

Whos beard is worse Barons or Gasols ?

I say its a toss up.

  • Raider4life

Gasols beard is by far worse cuz it just makes him look like he hasn’t showered in a week.

  • Scottish Raider

Its now official that the Raiders put an unsuccessful waiver claim in for Bruce Gradkowski. He’s gone to the Rams – poor soul.

At least that proves that Kiff and Knapp recognise that AW and Tui are not the best options behind JR. With Gradkowski gone and the Raiders seemingly not interested in Culpepper or Leftwich, who else is there?

Its not a great list: Dilfer, Tim Hasselbeck, Holcomb, Martin, Nall, Weinke?

I guess we need to either trade or gamble that someone decent gets cut soon.

  • Dakota

    7

  • Raider4life

With the Giants signing David Carr to back up Eli maybe the big lefty Jared Lorenzen could be available.

  • Mistabrown

Scottish, TB will release 1 more QB I blelieve, they have 4 or 5 still on the roster. But who cares who our backup is we are toast if JR goes down anyway.

  • Mistabrown

    blelieve?
    lol

  • La Milicia Negra

Chris simms will join us after pre-season =)

  • Scottish Raider

Does anybody know if Wayne Gandy has recovered from his ACL injury?

Given the struggles of Green and Henderson in minicamp, we could do with a fit Gandy. Especially as he knows the Knapp/Cable system already.

Anthony Clements (ex Jets) Nat Dorsey (Browns) and Tutan Reyes (Jags) are probably the other reasonable OTs available.
