Live chat pushed back to 3:30 p.m.!

Sorry for the inconvenience, but we’re going to need to move today’s scheduled live blog with Jerry McDonald back to a 3:30 p.m. start time.

Lane Kiffin’s press conference with the media today will be at 2 p.m., so we didn’t want to have a chat until Jerry and the crew had a chance to get some answers from the coach himself.

So you at 3:30 p.m.!

Namdi said the Donks called some plays they had not seen before….ok. But every team does this every week. And it’s the defensive coaches job to improvise for such schemes and change their play calling in order to better defend against what the offense might be doing differently than usual. Last night there was no improvising. There was no adapting, or even changing the play calling. How can you get burned for 99 yards and a TD by a rookie WR in the first half, and not improvise and adapt for the second half? I don’t think Hall is that bad. And if he is, oh boy….did we make a huge mistake on bringing him in.
Personally, I am tired of performances like this. When you go to a concert, and it sucks, most artists will refund you your money, this game falls in that category.
But I will still give Ryan one more shot next week. KC’s offense is not Denver’s offense, and if our D performs like it did yesterday, than I will jump in with the rest of you calling for Rob’s head. The only reason for me giving him one more chance, is because I take into account that play calling is one thing, and execution is another. But at some point, you have to take the two and see which is worse, and for me, that point is next week against KC.

  • ill try 408. that sucker hasnt hit the gulf of mexico yet. dont know if you know this but the gulf is filled with warm water which is like adding fuel to a fire. it suppose to gain strength as it blows over the gulf.
there is some small towns that are still under water from dolly….man its gonna get ugly.

  • Exlaraiderseasonticketholder

It was well known that Kiffin’s game plan was to control the ball and not let the donkey’s get a lead as not to put pressure on JaMarcus. Great job Ryan. Do us all a favor and pull your head out of your arse so you can see what is going on in the game.

We cannot lose to the chefs, I have tickets for gods sake!!!!!!

  • Thec

    Where was MBUSH?
Chaz was making plays where was he?
Walker got any words for the NATION?
    Kiffin what say you?
Rob Ryan you mindless f2ck you dont need to speak.

No i disagree the sky is not fallen, it has fallen….
rey mauluga, or michael crabtree. How many picks do we have next year. Fu@K i love this team but F@VCK

  • Fat Daddy Groove

Where is the link to the live chat? Would some please post it.
I had to listen to the game on the radio with Dennis Green, He is horrible, I had to turn it off before he said “We are who we thought we were”

  • Nate

This conference better be about someone being fired.

  • My boy Chaz deserves to be on the field! JLH is not the answer as much as I like curry for being a loyal raider he needs to go to slow and now he cant catch and please can we get some bush action! FUK

  • Sky has fallen? F@ck that, we don’t have a f@ucking sky, this team is dead, and I don’t know how it can recover.

I have been a fan since I was a little boy, and other than the Bills loss in the playoffs, I can’t recall a game where we played worse than last night. We didn’t have heart, and our soul was sitting in a booth with a towel over his legs with some ugly a$$ hag standing behind him. What is happening to us?

I thought they already had the conference, is there another one? If so it could be bad…..

  • RaidingTexas

The defensive scheme didn’t look bad on Nnamdi’s side of the field, did it? You guys have it all wrong. It would look like we had good defensive schemes all around if we had the personnel to execute the plays properly.

I’m sorry, but DeAngelo hall is stupid and a bad football “player”. He has no instincts whatsoever. For some insane reason, he started breaking toward post when Cutler dropped that fade over his head into Royal’s hands along the end zone’s right sideline – EVEN THOUGH HE WAS F#CKING LOOKING AT ROYAL’S BACK. He’s the type of player that looks like a genius in 1 out of every 50 plays when he makes a pick. He’s not intimidating, like a Nnamdi or Champ. He’s a loser who brought his losing ways to a team that didn’t need any more of that crap.

It doesn’t matter what scheme you put out there if you have stupid, crappy “players”. You’re going to lose.

  • Thec

408, your right Bro chaz was my darkhorse also. He played well but didnt get a lot of run. WTF is up with walker….. did he give the money back?

The news confrence should be about Ryan getting arrested by oakland PD for impersonationg a Defensive coordinator.

  • PhillyRaider

Fat Daddy, Jerry pushed the Live Chat back to 3:30 west coast time.

  • Dakota

Nnamdi will force his way out of Oakland by refusing to sign a long-term deal and just taking the Franchise deal at 20% raises each year to cripple our cap…can you blame him? Read the last part of this article…wait, I will just paste it below the link…

“I don’t know how tired the other guys are, but I’m extremely tired of losing,” Asomugha says. “I don’t know if there’s too many people in the Raiders organization that have an insatiable desire to win as I much as I do.”

Nnamdi knows how cancerous this organization is…he is as good as gone as soon as he can make it happen. His bro, C-Wood is calling him from GB and telling him how great things are outside of Oakland…thanks for the time with us Nnamdi…you are the man and I wish you happiness elsewhere.

  • bob T

Rob Ryan looks like a Raider fan. Hopefully soon, that’s all he’ll be!!

  • Maryland Raiderfan

I like the rest of the nation I am completely outraged for witnessing the fiasco that unvieled last night until 1:30Am on the east coast. All of our observations(and Jerry’s)are correct. The D with the talent we do have with exception of a better D line is unacceptable!! Nmamdi exculded! Ryan’s head should be on the block at this point. If Al Davis is indeed calling the D plays then he needs to go. Like ditka said last night–players play and coaches coach. I have seen better D from this squad without DHall;therefore, it goes back to ryan! If AD is allowing play calling freedom then ryan should definitely be outta here(no blitzs, substitutions, etc).
If not then Al needs to go!!
I believe in Kiffin as in the beginning, he may be conservative at times but he is trying to develop the young marque players. He calls it like it is, roster with little talent and inability to bring in appropriate competition. Again, personel issues on the shoulders of AD and the front office. WE are the best fans of a storied franchise and derserve better than this garbage. HE is the head coach and let him act like one and if he leaves because of this AD BS I will not blame him. Then there will be another HC of a team that will routinely kick our tail! Can not wait to here the Kiff press conference!

  • Thec

that move that royal put on hall took what 5, 6 ,7 seconds…… Who in the NFL gets 7 seconds to throw?

Ball supposed to be out in 3 cutler had 5,6,7,8 secs. he could have hit me in the open…..

  • RaidingTexas Says: Post 61

“It doesn’t matter what scheme you put out there if you have stupid, crappy “players”. You’re going to lose.”

Hasn’t D Hall been to the Pro Bowl? Aren’t these stupid, crappy, players NFL players on NFL teams? How can it not matter whast scheme you put out there? The scheme is everthing dude. The scheme places the strenghtes of players at the right positions, and protects the deficiancies through deception and compensation. The lack of talent isn’t a profound statement. A successful D coordinator must have the ability to adapt his defense to the personell. However, we don’t have D coordinator.

  • No blitzes, no pressure at all, the whole game from Rob Ryan. In the pre-season you saw a lot of early blitzes from Howard and Morrison which established a tangible fear to the opposing QB’s. The First Team defense gave up no scores during the pre-season. Then last night Denver marched down the field and scored on their first posession. No hurries, no tipped balls, just soft coverage. It was like they were playing the prevent defense for the entire game. It just makes no sense to me, why the defense played it like that. The whole thing just smells fishy.

“…with some ugly a$$ hag standing behind him.”

Lol, I know, I thought maybe that was a hospice nurse or something….

  • PhillyRaider

Good point Thec #67! Even the move he made on Nnamdi was like straight outta playground! It wasn’t even a recogizable pattern and he got the time to just adlib into the open!

  • Hospice nurse? My Gawd bro, that looked like something from the after life, all she need was a sythe.

I would cancel whatever health insurance I was using if they provided a hospice nurse that looked like death. She scared the sh!te out of me.

  • Exlaraiderseasonticketholder

Just to make you feel better about life, Kobe opted to not have surgery on his pinkie until after the season as he says “he has unfinished busines and he doesn’t want to miss training camp and the start of the season.”

  • Nate

Where can we get live coverage of the “press conference?”

  • Exlaraiderseasonticketholder

Was that AD’s wife behind him?

  • Raider11680

Conference going on now with Kiffin:

    This just in:

“Both me and Rob, all the players in the locker room, and the fans with pitchforks outside this building, are taking a stance against Al “Hitler” Davis. We will no longer stand by and witness the genocide of this organization. So either Al goes, or we all go.”

Just kidding, but by what some of you have been saying about last night seeming a little weird, now that I think about it, it kind of did. Which is why I said what I said above, what if, the coaches were taking a stance against Al? I don’t think so either… but the play calling yesterday makes you wonder this type of things… sorry.

  • JT

Someone, maybe a player from the raiders of old, should step up and talk with Al Davis, telling him its time to let go and retire.

  • I would hope they wouldn’t do that to the players though Raider11680. If I was a player and they did, I would be pissedddddd…

  • Nate

Does Al Davis even know he’s still alive?

  • I heard Mucus Allan on Colin Coward this morning, and Mucus didn’t really say anything about the current state, Colin even set him up to fire bombs at Al, but Mucus just said the team doesn’t have player leadership.

  • I know, its Marcus Allen, I work with a dude named Allan, thats why I mis-spelled his name, my bad.

  • JT

Why are the former players like Marcus Allen afraid of Davis?

  • Nate

They don’t call him “Godfather” for nothing, that’s why.

  • PhillyRaider

    Raider11680 – Post 76

Here’s my theory my man, I think you off just a tad. Kiff is in full-blown rebellion against Ol Wrinkled Al and wants to be terminated at the bye. Ryan is in full-blown rebellion against Kiff and wants same. Effect of all the silly sh!t and attitudes is last night’s performance and a thousand, thousand pissed off highly disappointed fans. Ultimately, none but the fans give a shi!t about the effects though.

  • JT

A Tim Brown, a Rich Gannon should talk with Davis and tell him to retire.

  • Dakota

I saw that…I wish he could have gotten the problem fixed, I think if changes his game more than we can imagine, but 12 weeks is a long time. He better get it fixed first thing next summer.

  • JT

    You may be right PhillyRaider
But what does that say about Kiffin?

  • Im watching Kiffins presser on Comcast,..he sucks …a real loser,..doesnt care at all about the loss…he needs to be fired now.

  • JT

Godfather Davis, what is he going to do? sabotage his former players from future jobs in the media or whatever?

  • RaidingTexas

Kiffin will want another job. He wouldn’t intentionally lose games to get fired. That would lower his attractiveness to other teams. You guys are total nuts – even for Raiders fans. Get real.

  • Monta’s Ankle

Everyone who has season tickets or even idividual game tix please burn them week by week. Until Al either dies, resigns or moves to Brazil he doesn’t deserve to have any fans or support of any kind. Prove to us loyal, longtime Raider fans that serious changes are coming. We deserve a quality GM and quality coaches. We don’t deserve to have an old, senile, stubborn shadow of a once great man running everything. Al has run our beloved organization right into the ground of his own free will. No longer am I gonna stand by and let him make us look like the biggest clowns in pro sports. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. NO MORE. F*CK YOU AL!!

  • PhillyRaider

What is Kiff to do, JT he desperately wants out bro! I’m sure Al promised to give him leeway and power over personnel changes and so on but after the phone kept ringing on the sideline and in the coaches lounge day after day. The dude just wants it to be over.

  • Kiffin saying the team quit in the second half.

  • It is over philly,…he may get canned this week.

  • 909raiderlifer

There was play in the 2nd? qtr. Denver, had the ball around mid field. 3rd and 2. Royal, motions to the left, then reverses back to the right.

NO ONE, on D adjusts. NO ONE is covering him AT ALL.

Ball is snapped, all Cutler has to do, is take one step back, throw to a WIDE effing OPEN, Royal. Who proceeds to go for 20 yrds. Before a player on the D is close enough to make a play.

  • PhillyRaider

I disagree RT. I didn’t say he was trying to throw games. I think he called the O the way he said he would (remember his statements before the Titans preseason game). But I just can’t figure the depth chart game lineup decisions dude! It’s insaRSne. JLH and Curry as the starting WRs??!!

  • RaidingTexas

Yep. Fire Kiffin. Bring in somebody else and give him the keys to this 1975 Ford Pinto. Point to the nearest brick wall and tell him to drive straight at it as fast as he can.

  • Kiff gets canned? Enter the next puppett to get canned, and the next, and the next and the next…..

Al has lost his fuggin mind… and he hates us.

  • JT

Then he should just quit and be a man! If he really values his coaching expertise, then he should feel secure knowing he will get a better job, right? And just quit.
But coaching to loose is both stupid to the NFL and to himself…
He would loose integrity around NFL circles…

  • PhillyRaider

Yeah Jim, count it bro he gone! I remember that play 909, it went down so easy I d@mn near fell on the floor with disbelief!!!
