2) If Cable was Al’s guy, why hasn’t he hired him already? Why didn’t he just name him the HC at the end of the season, or even by now? Why is he even interested in interviewing others?

I am all for Cable, and I believe in Al Davis. He has to abide by the Rooney Rule, and he does not want to make a hasty decision. If he just hires Cable right away, with out looking at anyone else, that will just give everybody something else to slam him about if Cable for some reason does not pan out.
