Sorry, didn’t see your message till now. I think Fassel is a very underrated coach. Here are the reasons I like him:
– He has a winning record
– He went to a Super Bowl
– He was coach of the year
– He knows the Raiders and has the personality to co-exist with Al
– He’s a good guy
– He’s passionate to get back on the sidelines
– He wants the Raiders job
– He has an eye for talented assistants (John Fox, Sean Payton)

and, most importantly …
– He’s a QB guru. Elway, Simms, Hostetler were pupils of his. He resurrected Kerry Collins’ career. JaMarcus is the future of this team for good or for bad. We need a guy like Fassel to bring him along and help him fulfill his enormous potential.
