Pre-minicamp roster notes

Heading out to practice in a few minutes . . . a few notes from the roster distributed by the Raiders:
– No new fullbacks signed as yet, or at least none on the roster.
– At first glance, no noticeable absences indicating players who have been cut.
– Marcus Johnson is listed as a tackle, although coach Tom Cable said he would be tried at guard.
– Rookie Stryker Sulak, who Cable said would be tried as a standup linebacker, is wearing No. 96 and listed as a defensive end.
– No one will be wearing No. 95 for awhile. Marquis Cooper is still listed on the roster as No. 95.
– Will plan on filing an update following practice with subsequent postings to follow after interview sessions as well as report on the second practice.

There were some encouraging signs, but “fantasy camp” being what it is, there was nothing shocking about the first day of the Raiders rookie minicamp……..

Fargas’s biggest problem is that Louis Rankin is going to be gunning for that 3rd RB spot – and Rankin is younger, faster and much cheaper.
50/50 whether Fargas is on the roster by the end of August.

Great point!! how much is Uncle Al willing to pay for heart??? we already know he’ll pay for speed..I always overlook/forget about Rankin!!!!!!!

Don’t be cruel bloggers…
To that mod/troll when she is on her period because she can get very angry and boot people for selfish inadvertent reasons other than (racial slur derogatory comments patronizing other bloggers).
If you see posts left up that still contain racial slurs and flat out foul language and then a posts gets deleted for no justifiable reason it makes you wonder?
