    Good work Rockstar!!

  • RaiderRockstar

last: throws behind wr, justin miller drops pick that hits both his hands on deep post

2nd: checkdown dumpoff to fb marcel reece at line of scrimmage.

  • ottocrat

Actually, after reading about JRuss struggling, maybe I don’t want to see the twitter…

  • RaiderRockstar

no problem. got another meeting in 20 min. though

  • RaiderRockstar

mario henderson schooling matt shaughnessy as gradkowski throws td to murphy

for what it’s worth, garcia’s next pass was a backward screen for a turnover. keep in mind, it’s lot like nnamdi and c johnson are here

  • Ahh, yes. Another Raiders’ off season workout. Running screen plays, using a versatile offense, running the football, looking sharp. It’ll all be scrapped by week 1, and we’ll be back to the 7 step drops. Vertical Game, baby.

  • RaiderRockstar

    whats crackin MR?

    u twitter?

  • Vegas, you don’t ever have to apologize to me for talking politics. This is a blog based upon a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in over half a decade, and probably never will again. We have to talk about something.

  • No, Rockstar. I don’t. Only a myspace page, and I rarely visit it. Never really caught on to networking on the internet. I’m old school. Still in web 1.0.

  • RaiderRockstar

I don’t either. I got a myspace that I check once per month. My wife uses Facebook

you can keep track of the mini camp updates at:

I’m headed to a meeting in 10-15 minutes. I won’t be able to keep copy and pasting from that page to this blog

  • RaiderRockstar

sorry for the pause, got chatting with louis murphy sr. dad is here

red zone drill; gunheim pressure forced jamarcus to throw it away

  • Everything that goes on in these mini camps means nothing. Al will scrap everything and get back to the 7 step drop, deep comeback routes. Always does. Every year. Except for when Gruden and Kiffin were here, and notice the terms they left on. Cable does not have the balls to stand up to Al, so he’ll cave in like so many others have. I don’t care how smart he is. I don’t care how good of an offense he has (which, from what I can see so far, is pretty much Kiffin’s offense). It’s going to be Al’s way. And you know what Al wants, Russell throwing the ball downfield. Period.

  • Our only prayer is if Garcia somehow winds up starting. Because he does have the balls to stand up to Al. He’ll call his own plays, Stabler style. He’ll just use some of his west coast plays and tell his receivers where to be, if he has to.

  • RaiderRockstar

MR, Ted Tollner has been running the offense this morning. Tom Cable is watching

  • Vick’s Out!

  • RaiderRockstar

dad sees son go to his knees for nice catch. clap clap clap

I hope Jerry Mac doesn’t get caught up talking to the players parents while we’re waiting for his update/report

  • RaiderRockstar

    Vick’s Out!

don’t get excited. He’s going to work construction for the next 2 months

Kinda funny that fat kid on the Subway commercials is making more money than Mike Vick right now

  • Vick really screwed up. If he’d just beaten up his girlfriend, he’d be suited up and playing right now.

  • Goodell has made it clear…if you want to hurt a living creature, make sure it’s a female human being. That’s fine. Do not mess with dogs, though.

  • los raiders de don rober

from reading david white’s tweet, our pass O still sucks

  • RaiderRockstar

    three horns, practice ends

next pass, way over higgins head, routt with easy pick. not even close

finally, jamarcus completes something other than screen. over the middle to stewart for 12

  • RaiderRockstar

you’re right. Cornell Green, Fabian Washington and Brandon Marshall are good recent examples of that …

  • RaiderRockstar

practice today was just 2 hours?

    is there another one tonight?

  • What’s up nation.

Vick will have another chance at playing in the NFL, but I hope not with us.

  • Yeh, rockstar, it was just troubling seeing Goodell speak the other day and talk about how he won’t let Vick back into the league until he shows real remorse for what he did. If only he held the same standards to players who hit women. Nope. They do their weekend of work project and pay their fine, they’re back on the field.

  • Mistabrown

    This was dam funny!

What a mature statement. Too bad this is no place for grownups…

  • RaiderRockstar

be back later. that meeting has started

  • SnB Defense

From following along with all those updates…have to say it sounded like a pretty sorry practice for the offense. All 3 QBs apparently looked awful according to the reporter…

Every player on offense better be at all of those practice sessions leading up to training camp.

I still don’t understand why Tom Cable didn’t opt for the extra mandatory mini-camp afforded new head coaches

  • Mistabrown

Larry Johnson should be out of the league.

  • MR,

I agree with you about Michael Vick. Its ridiculous that he is being treated this way while other players…and people in general society…abuse children, women, strangers, DWIs, manslaughter, drug abuse, steroids (cheating), and all other sorts of mayhem and yet Vick is being isolated for fighting two animals….

  • SnB Defense

And what Vick did was disgusting to be sure. But was no worse than the things people do to each other.

  • Hey, Jerry.

Ask Russell, since he doesn’t seem to be able to throw the ball at the receivers hands, but yet consistently is able to throw at their sho3s.

Does he have a foot fetish, or what?

  • You are talking apples and oranges here. If two adults get into a shoving match, either or both can be put on a 72 hour custody hold and take a Domestic Disturbance conviction. Mike Vick took a Federal Conviction for Animal Cruelty. Taking a federal felony conviction does not make the NFL happy. And if that is not enough, illegal gambling was involved. So, now you have a guy doing illegal activities which he then took a felony conviction for, that has ties to illegal gambling. After the recent gambling problems in other sports (looking at the NBA here) If I was Goddell, I wouldn’t be too happy about this either.

  • Mistabrown

I wonder about JR throwing at the feet. I saw alot of that last year.

Was this something that he was doing at LSU or did it come with his fur coat?

  • DT42

Just to keep the Vick crime in perspective, my son (15 at the time) was hit in the face with a crow bar by a gang member who snuck up behind him. EMS had to stop and do CPR on the way to the hospital. After a stay in crash, stiches, a bunch of MRI’s and a stay in the hospital. He went back to school. And what about the The kid that hit him? He got PROBATION (a couple of months) and a fine. He was back in school in my son’s math class the next semester. If Vick can help the Raiders then let him play. If not let him go about his way and have a wonderful career in construction. Either way just another overblown ESPN story.

  • Mistabrown

#436 misses the point entirely as usual.

Numnuts, nobody is exusing M Vick gambling or dog fighting. The point is hitting a woman should warrant discipline and Goodell seems 2 not give a $hit.

    Go pet your cat!

  • Oakglenn, I don’t know if I understand a word of that. So I’ll keep it simple and just ask you one question: Is an NFL player hitting a woman worthy of the same scorn from Goodell as an NFL player being in a dog fighting ring? Are you saying that Goodell SHOULD be easier on players in his league hitting women than those those involved in animal abuse?

  • Mista,

I watched a few LSU games, and I think it came with the Coat. lol

  • Mistabrown

OakGlenn seems to have lost whatever sense he ever had at 1 time.

  • MB, I’ll give Oakglenn the benefit of the doubt that he did not just advocate hitting women, so I’m giving him the chance to explain himself.

  • Mistabrown

Raider O, thanks for the clarification.

Prob Kiffins fault for letting him wear the coat, right Priest ?

Im willing to give the Oaf 6 games and if he’s still throwing at the feet, over throwing wide open guys, under throwing wide open guys sit him the rest of the year and let him think about his actions, got that Mr Cable?

  • SnB Defense

The punishment for Vick doesn’t fit the crime relative to what others get away with. I have no problem with Vick being banned for life…just be consistent and have perpective.

Cruelty to humans is far worse than cruelty to animals. If you forgive cruelty to humans…it seems perfectly reasonable to me that cruelty to animals should be forgiven as well.

So dog fighting gets fed time…while beating and emotionally abusing women is a simple misdemeanor…or boys just being boys?????

    Gimmie a break!

  • If a player receives a felnoy conviction for the assault, Goodell should react in kind.

  • Mistabrown

I dont think OakGlenn is advocating hitting women he owns a cat for gawd sakes!

Maybe he has ADD, smokes too much dope, or just cant read. Im at a loss for words.

  • I think what Oak is saying that Vick had a fed conviction for Gambeling and dog fighting, compared to domestic violence which is not a fed crime.

  • Mistabrown

Raider O you might be right.

However we are talking about punishment Goodell can hand out. Of course FED laws are what they are, not at all the point Goodell can suspend or ban Larry Johnson right now if he felt compelled, seems as if he doesn’t care.

  • RaiderRockstar

    new post

  • Assassin

    lol is a generic comment…

Just kidding, it really shows your insightful.

  • Federal crime or not, most domestic abuse issues do not rise to the level of a felony. Every employer should wait until a judge/jury decides the merit of a case, and if a felony conviction results then proceed accordingly.

For example, Barrett Robbins’ felonious behavior (not his AWOL SB binge) should keep him out of the NFL as a player, coach, etc. for many years. Not that he is any shape to try again, but his crimes were felonies. Thus he has a long time to wait and a lot to prove to get back in the NFL. Same should be true for any felon.
