71% Where did you find that ? The Rasmussen report has Obama at 36% approval 29% dissaproval. Even on inaugaration day he wasnt at 71%.

    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Approval rating = 100 minus the disapproval percentage. Its a yes/no question, always has been. 100-29=71. Rasmussen is not the standard.

  15. KoolKell Says:

The Rassmusen is a Repugnant Polling Organization. They water-board the polling sample.

It would have been nice for the Raiders to bring in a “Do-Right” backup QB capable of playing in the system they are designing.

  18. BART Bridge Blues Says:

those pics are from March of this year, little over a month before mini-camp started, at Pacman’s Birthday Party. I have always defended JR’s skills in here, but hanging out with Pacman Jones? I am starting to get worried.

  19. Braveheartraider Says:

    Raider O

Its a 3 way split between rainy, cloudy and overcast!
I’ll tell you tho, when its nice its beautiful, just not often enough.

George Bush had as high as a 90 approval rating at one time. All new presidents usually stay in the 60+ range for awhile.

Just stating facts not trying to debate anything.

    ====================================

He nver would, but all Mr. Obama has to do is point out Republicans:

    Destroyed the enviroment

    The economy

    The military

    The Constitution

    Our food supply

    Our confidence

    Our disaster preparedness

    Our future

Anyone who thinks other wise profitted from our misery or is very selective and omissive ie lying to themselves.

    Can’t believe more people aren’t outraged…

    THERE!

Political rant out of the way!

Russell’s struggling maybe because they’re finally making him focus on his fundamentals like footwork.

Hope he gets his poop in a group b4 the season…

Yes right after 9/11. Let’s not be disingenuous here.

Never over 60% before or since.

  23. Bo Schembechler Jackson Says:

90% for W was post 9/11 when not supporting the president meant you were a terrorist.

  24. BART Bridge Blues Says:

Whoops my bad. That was at Marcus Spear’s birthday, but there was some ‘rain’, so I got confused. JR, sorry I jumped the gun on you.

    =======================================================
True…but big-armed QBs are not easy to come by. Guys like Rex Grossman or J.P Losman aren’t exactly known as the hardest working players either.

  31. Nnamdi21 Says:

Lets hope DHB is the real D-E-A-L.

Fought double teams and crappy Qb play at Maryland so we’ll have to see if he can be more than a one trick pony

  32. BART Bridge Blues Says:

Jerry makes this point on his blog all the time, and I think it’s a good one; your back-up QB should have slightly different skills than your starter, rather than just a lesser talented version of him. When and if Garcia comes into a game, we would probably resemble a WCO team more than a vertical one.

  33. RaiderRockstar Says:

But Hackett was the QB Coach, not the O.C.

    ***

Hackett was the QB coach there. He’s also the QB coach here. what’s the diff?

He’s teaching Russell footwork, accuracy, timing, pocket awareness and how to read a defense. Jeff Garcia already has these things down.

the tollner air coryell offense calls for 70 yard bombs. 90 percent of the time when you call a play like that the play breaks down and you have to improvise, even with play action, shotgun or pump fakes. Jeff Garcia is the master of improv. that’s why Tom Cable wanted him here. He doesn’t have to think. He just plays. It comes natural to him, like Stabler.

    Global warming:

If you have a tall glass of Lemonade with icecubes and you let it sit for an hour and let the ice melt does the glass spill over?
    No, of course not.

If all the icebergs in the Antarctic melt will the Ocean rise & flood civilization ?

Yes, if you ask a phony Scientist.
No, if you use some common sense.

  37. lefty12 Says:

how can you reason with people who still support Bush and his failed policies?it’s like trying to reason with a 3 year old child-it can’t be done.

  38. BART Bridge Blues Says:

    Mista,

I saw that you were targeting global warming. I was gonna admit that I don’t believe Bush had much to do with that, but then I read your argument…

So your attack on Obama and the “liberals” is that their concern for our round, gravity maintained planet, is completely unfounded based on your lemonade experiments with cylindrical glassware?

See if your brain can wrap around this Mista: If you place a bunch of ice on a plate and let it melt, does it spill over?

It’s funny how that was the case then, but now things are all crazy. It surprises me how so many conservatives can bash Obama and his policys and not be labeled the same. Our society has changed for the worse and it’s only a matter of time before the next disaster.

  46. IndianaRaider Says:

lol, i quit submitting questions, although its funny to see his actual selections. Some are very tough and deep questions, very interesting indeed.

  47. BART Bridge Blues Says:

Alston is up to 235lbs?? I haven’t heard that anywhere else. Anybody know who reported this? That would make a lot of sense, considering how much they are playing him at SAM. I thought Marshall was dumber than Ryan when I first heard those Mini-camp reports that Alston (who was 220 last season) was starting, while Brown backed-up at MLB.

  48. RaiderDogg Says:

That chat is weak, he just answers the same few people over and over.

    At least KoolKell got in…

  49. Bo Schembechler Jackson Says:

I asked Jerry if there has been a James Lofton sighting…no response. Norco’s Ratto comment was funny though.

In general, Jerry needs to stop answering the same question over and over…

  50. Oakglenn Says:

mistabrown has no hope for trying to figure out what is happening on a football field and he is trying to tell others about the economy and global warming??? Oh my God!!

  51. IndianaRaider Says:

I know I have seen this same question ever since the first OTA so why he continues to answer, i’ll never know. For the record, OTA results mean jack squat, its not a game time practice or a factor of how you team will play this year. There is simply no reason to worry about OTA’s.

“Cable said he looks at OTAs as a classroom to get ready for training camp, and that’s exactly what it seemed like _ a classroom atmosphere.”

  52. vegas raider Says:

I asked a very simple question, “did the inaccurate passes of Russell affect the flow of practice yesterday.”

    Crickets.

    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Yes it did affect the flow. Twice they had to send Lofton over the fence to retrieve balls from the airport so they could continue 7 on 7 drills.

  55. La Milicia Negra Says:

—”Raiders signed S Keith Davis. Davis is most valuable as a gunner on special teams, but he can also double as veteran insurance in the defensive backfield”—

  56. 24 Says:

    Interesting…

Some on the left, he said, “would almost never put national security over transparency.” Some on the right, meanwhile, are an “anything goes” crowd. “I’ve heard words that frankly are calculated to scare people rather than educate them,” Obama said.
“We will be ill-served by the fear-mongering that emerges whenever we discuss this issue,” he declared.
Yet the president himself repeatedly criticized Bush, who he said “failed to use our values as a compass” in devising an anti-terror strategy.
“Too often, our government made decisions based upon fear rather than foresight and all too often trimmed facts and evidence to fit ideological predispositions,” he said.
Cheney, meanwhile, praised Obama for two “wise” decisions — his handling of the war in Afghanistan and his decision on the prisoner-abuse photos. But he forcefully defended the Bush administration’s interrogation program and other policies enacted in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
“Seven-and-a-half years without a repeat is not a record to be rebuked and scorned,” Cheney said.

  57. 24 Says:

Wow…I didn’t know Keith Davis was a free agent. He was starting for the Cowboys at SS at the end of the season and the Cowboys have nobody to replace him that I know of. My brother is going to be pissed.

  58. 24 Says:

    Keith Davis

2008 Scouting Report – Scouts Inc.
    Grade: 59 | Key
    Alert: None

Comment: Davis is a solid athlete with decent size who has been relegated to a backup position for the Cowboys. He has good foot agility, quickness and speed for the safety position, but can be inconsistent in coverage. He may be a liability in pure man coverage, but is best in off-zone schemes. He is inconsistent reading route progressions in coverage and rarely gets his hands on the ball. He is a solid tackler in run support and keeps good leverage when filling the alley.

Davis uses his hands well to work through trash and stay alive to make plays. He does have some limitations, but used in the right schemes he can be effective. He is a good football player and has been a solid special team’s contributor, which gives valuable depth to the Cowboys secondary.

  59. 24 Says:

    Keith Davis
