[...] Stryker Sulak. This Raider fan notes that the argument that Raiders cut Stryker because of cash flow issues is bogus. Also estimates that Stryker would have received a $90-100K signing bonus. I know some Tiger fans are rejoicing that Stryker was set free by the Raiders, but that’s a lot of green he may not find elsewhere. Sucks for him.
#2. Coach on Wheels. You forgot Oakland dominated SD for 3 quarters last year and the second time we played Denver we kicked their azz and shut their vaunted passing game DOWN.

Got a feeling Merriman will never be the same. He's walking around bone on bone with that knee and L.T. may suddenly get "football" old next season.

We put up points and run the ball on them effectively, we should come out on top.

It'll be a test for our new tackles thats for sure.

Raider O, say this prayer for me;
"Oh Lord Oooh you are so big you are So ab - solutely huge. Gosh, we're all really impressed down here I can tell you. Forgive Us, O Lord, for this dreadful toadying. And barefaced flattery. But you are so strong and, well, just so super.
Amen."

Thanks TW

# SnB Defense Says:
July 17th, 2009 at 10:24 am

From SI.COM Ross Tucker:

So when a guy like Stryker Sulak gets cut by the Raiders prior to signing a contract or attending training camp, what kind of monetary compensation does he receive for attending OTAs?
– Ted Castaneda, Saskatoon, SK Canada

Players receive $130 per workout in the offseason and because Sulak was cut before signing a contract, it is extremely unlikely he will receive anything remotely close to the approximately $70,000 signing bonus he would have received in a rookie contract from the Raiders. Either Sulak performed extremely poorly in the offseason workouts or the Raiders have a lack of respect for either draft choices, in general, or their own scouting department, in particular. It’s hard to believe they wouldn’t even give their draft pick a chance to perform with shoulder pads.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/ross_tucker/07/17/mail/index.html?eref=T1
------------------------------------------------------

Sulak was signed as a project, to try to take over the OLB/DE position. The signing of Greg Ellis, a solid veteran, who seemingly has improved with age, made Sulak expendable. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out especially if you claim to be a "sports writer" for SI.
