I don't think I can handle another year of failure. The last six years have taken a toll and many of my friend are fans of other teams. When they play us, they usually get the last laugh. We need redemption, as in the Shawshank Redemption when Andy escaped with the warden's money and ended up in (Sey Wat Te Neyo?) Mexico.

Just Win, with an improve JR!

Dakota
Every year the players come out and say they love things the current coach is doing…in 2007 it was how much they loved the music and the day-night practices…then when Cable took over they loved that he ended practices on time…and when Art Shell was here the second time the players loved that he would pass out in meeting and they could leave early…and the players loved Ryan’s pizza parties and nap times and no accountability approach….

Players love it!!! So what?

                               That was great

Walker, Fargas, DeAngelo Hall, Kelly, etc...

Al Davis is a poor judge of talent.

Can he actually see the game when he's there?

There are no doubt some intelligent Raiders fans commenting here mixed in with a lot of dross of faux Raiders fans. Tom Cable was improving the team by the end of last year and so was JaMarcus Russell. Jeff Garcia was a failed QB from a failed Tom Gruden coached team, even though Garcia has been a good QB. If you want to put a spoke in the Raiders future development you would bench JaMarcus in favour of Jeff and thereby halt JaMarcus' improvement and hand the reins to a QB he beat in their last head to head matchup and who is soon to be retired. Also, some of those self-professed Raiders fans who are now dissing Tom Cable seemingly aren't happen unless they can prophecy the Raiders' failure again and then take credit for foretelling it if it happens. Obviously if it doesn't happen they will just drop into the wood work and pretend they said nothing but they will crow if their predictions come out. If they enjoy being so negative about the Raiders, I would suggest they find another team to support such as the Broncos or the Chiefs or the Chargers, with friends like them who needs enemies. Nobody is perfect, but Tom Cable has made obvious improvements so it is too early to pull the plug on him and not give him the leeway he has earned from the positive impact he has made. Of course maybe those negative fans (some people might term them haters) would be happier following UT and LK. For those who hope Jeff Garcia starts, why not bring back Dante Pastorini, he was the QB that many similar haters in the past wanted to continue starting and leave Jim Plunkett on the bench. It worked out well to the Raiders benefit and probably to those so-called fans disappointment. No need to mention the haters by name because that would just stroke their egos and they know who they are.

this first week of learning intensive practices might be a real good idea to avoid injuries, not only do they wrok on form and position it also gives them a week to get muscles streched out real good, and that sounds smart.

I actually GO to the games and I couldn't be any happier with the approach this year. So many times I saw our team out of position before the play even developed. Something had to change.......be patient and see if this works out. In the last two years I've seen really talented players, trying too hard to make a play and finding themselves out of the play instead. I like TC's approach, it hasn't been a lack of talent as much as as a lack of continuity.

read a couple of post yesterday about gruden...
when he had the chance to bring to rings to oakland he 'blew it . there wouldbe no tuck rule if on 3rd and 4 with 1:54 onthe clock he would have done a play-action pass for the first down !every-body and their mama knew he would run coach of the pats sure did.

also against the ravens in the championship where no one in the league ran on the ravens gruden said i know i'll run on first down 2nd down have a 3rd and long fail to get the first then punt . such imagination....

he only beat us in the bowl 'cuz of the dumbest coach in america and b-rob going bipolar.

he left two trophies out their davis said you're traded !

jeff garcia : will be on jamarcus jock strap week-one .... believe that !

Glen Dorsey flunks his conditioning test. Can't practice until he passes the test. Hope Knowshon holds out for a few weeks
