August 20th, 2009 at 11:36 am
I hope crabtree does sit out the season. If he was drafted by the raiders he would have wanted top 5 money.
August 20th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Hello, any body home?????????
August 20th, 2009 at 11:37 am

August 20th, 2009 at 11:44 am
Thec, It’s strange they posted two chat reminders…a head fake to the commenting crew.
August 20th, 2009 at 11:45 am
Yes I can post!
August 20th, 2009 at 11:51 am
LOL you were gettin creeped out huh? That would be kinda Rod Serling-ish…
There is a fifth dimension of the Raider Nation, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as Al Davis. Two Raider fans find themselves stranded in this shapeless void, and….it may be said with a degree of assurance that not everything that meets the eye is as it appears. (cue weird music)

August 20th, 2009 at 11:54 am
Okay
Marvin Harrison? Thumbs up or Thumbs down and why?
August 20th, 2009 at 11:55 am
Out for a while to get a tire fixed…I submitted my perfunctory Southwick question for the chat. Fingers remain crossed.
August 20th, 2009 at 11:58 am
Thumbs down because of Dungy being involved!
August 20th, 2009 at 11:59 am
repost –
Crabtree wants: more than five years and $38.25 million, with $23.5 million in guaranteed money.
49ers want: less than Five years, $28.5 with $19.5 guaranteed.
so will the 49ers offer $11 million more ($4 mil guaranteed) or will Crabs eventually fold and sign?
August 20th, 2009 at 11:59 am
If Ricky Brown wins the MLB job, who will start at SLB? Morrison or Alston?
August 20th, 2009 at 12:01 pm
Coach Cable said on the inteview from yesterday that with Javon coming back raiders wond be looking for another WR… Chaz will be back week 2 or 3……
August 20th, 2009 at 12:03 pm
I need to switch to firefox, too many typo’s….
August 20th, 2009 at 12:04 pm
my question to Jerry in the live chat:
You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down.
I think Chaz Schilens will start out on the PUP list to be safe and Nick Miller will have a place on the 53 man roster until he’s healthy and ready after the bye week. your thoughts?
August 20th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Cable said Chaz would be back week 2 or 3….
August 20th, 2009 at 12:10 pm
4-6 weeks to recover from the injury. It’s not like Day 1 after 4 weeks he’s 100 percent healthy, conditioned and back to #1 WR status
it’s going to take some time … It’s not until he recovers that he can start running again, much less running routes, catching balls and challenging defenders hungry for contract as a possession WR

I just listened to the interview with cable he said Chaz will be back week 2 or 3. Not sure what be back means….
August 20th, 2009 at 12:13 pm
Q: If Ricky Brown wins the MLB job, who will start at SLB? Morrison or Alston?
A: if Morrison doesn’t win the starting job from Ricky Brown and isn’t moved outside, they’d probably think seriously about seeing if they could get a draft pick for him at cutdown time.
***
Jerry answered the question! woohoo!
August 20th, 2009 at 12:14 pm
Not sure what be back means….
***
be back at the facility rehabbing & conditioning is my guess.
August 20th, 2009 at 12:17 pm
My hope is that he is on the field week 2 or 3…..
August 20th, 2009 at 12:18 pm
Marcel Reese article check it if you want

August 20th, 2009 at 12:18 pm
Jerry Mac says:
DHB has a lot of developing to do before he becomes a reliable, move-the-chains receiver
***
Heyward-Bey is not a replacement for Chaz. He’s not a possession WR. DHB was starting opposite Chaz on the depth chart. Somebody else is gonna have to fill that role. Probably Walker or Higgins.
August 20th, 2009 at 12:22 pm
Jerry Mac says Marcel Reece has an edge over Luke Lawton?
Lawton started at FB last year while Reece was on the practice squad. hmm
August 20th, 2009 at 12:22 pm
Are any of you guys following that Hard Knocks show on HBO this season? Bungholes are the team…last night they showed the agent calling the Bungholes asking for DHB money…the Bungholes told him that Al Davis was nutz and they were not going to use the DHB contract to decide what A. Smith would get at #6…paraphrasing of course….
…and then, during the preseason game against N.O., Carson Palmer was trying to call a play in the huddle and his voice broke into a little girl’s voice…very sad, but funny…what a little USC biotch…
August 20th, 2009 at 12:30 pm
Thanks Jerry!
Chaz can’t go on the PUP list since he was healthy when training camp began. Same with Barnes. I’m guessing this hurts the chances of Nick Miller & Seth Wand making the 53 man roster …
August 20th, 2009 at 12:33 pm
if all of our safeties are getting abused against Vernon “bust” Davis, what do you think our odds are of containing Antonio Gates?
August 20th, 2009 at 12:35 pm
will Danny “the stormin’ mormon” Southwick get a shot at QB or is he stuck as an intern throwing passes to injured WR’s ???
August 20th, 2009 at 12:39 pm
from the same draft class… who did you think will have the best season? Russell, Quinn or Edwards? Do you think Brady Quinn or Trent Edwards have that “it’s not the end of the world” mentality? Would that fly in Cleveland or Buffalo?
August 20th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Oooooh I live in podunky and I smoke sticky skunky~~~~
August 20th, 2009 at 12:46 pm
=)!!!
August 20th, 2009 at 12:52 pm
Jerry Mac says:
by the time Sept. 14 is here, JLH will be counted on heavily particularly with Schilens out.
***
Higgins is gonna smoke Cromartie like a joint!
that one was for you Raider O. (waiting for you to say “legalize it!”
August 20th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
I think Schillens may not be at 100% until after the bye week. I believe he will play week 3, but somewhat sparingly, and may continue in that reduced role until week 7 or so, so he can take advantage of the extra week of rest.
Of course, a lot will depend on the Raiders record. If we are 0-2, he will play week 3 and as much as he can. If we are 2-0, he may not play at all or just a little. Same thing for later weeks.
August 20th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
nice projection Vegas.
4eva: you live in podunk? shoot. that makes 5 of us then. you, me, soldier, Dakota & BSJ

August 20th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
Q: Will Huff be a legitimate FS this season?
A: If you consider being a backup to Hiram Eugene as “legitimate”
***
LOL. Jerry Mac is such a Huff hater! I hope he’s ready to eat some crow this season …
August 20th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
Morrison should net a 3rd or 4th rounder?!?!?!?
August 20th, 2009 at 1:12 pm
RaiderRockstar Says: if all of our safeties are getting abused against Vernon “bust” Davis, what do you think our odds are of containing Antonio Gates?
Man, f*ck Antonio Gates! He aint nothing but a two bit punk. I could shut down Gates. The Chargers are going to finish last place. Philip Rivers is a b*tch!
August 20th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Q: Based on practice performance, who would YOU say is the next WR to step up for this team, Jerry?
A: Higgins is the most reliable and has had success, but his size makes it unlikely he’d be a guy getting touch catches over the middle repeatedly. Not sure they have an adequate replacement for what Schilens was doing.
***
does Wes Welker make tough catches over the middle? nah. he’s too small!
August 20th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
some may see this as meddling junk
But you wont after you par-take of da kick-ass skunk =)
August 20th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
Yo, I wrote this dope rhyme:
Philip Rivers aint nothin but a b*tch,
Mmmm Bop Hanson is just a little snitch.
Cable knocked his scrawny white a*s out,
I’m sittin in my hot tub with my d*ck hanging out.
Got some fly looking honeys
Crabtree be crying give my my moneys.
August 20th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
Q: How has Hiram Eugene looked in camp so far ?
A: Eugene has been a better center fielder than Huff on deep balls and always seems to be around the play in the right place, even if he doesn’t make it. It makes him a factor when balls are tipped, etc.
Q: Jerry it seems you really dont like Huff. LOL He better earn your respect, along with ours too. Tall order.
A: I like Huff fine. He has carried himself like a veteran since he got here, I’ve heard his approach and work ethic is good. He just doesn’t make enough plays.
***
so in other words Jerry Mac thinks Huff (although a nice guy) is a huge bust … LOL!
August 20th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
lol DMunos 26 LOL
