Dakota, you can sit there an say you hope you are wrong about Cable and that you hope he is successful all you want, but the perception that you’d rather see him fail so you can say i told you so IS there, whether that is the case or not.

    I dont believe that

    Lol…good one Oak.

Hey Raiderjhawk…don’t get pissed at me because I speak the truth, lol.

Lefty, I really don’t care what the perception is of me on the Cable issue. I think he is a good o-line coach placed in a situation where he shouldn’t be…I will always call it as I see it on the Raiders…I don’t care if it pisses some of you off.

    Jerry, fix this fukker already!

What part of “cut” from Jerry’s press release are you too stupid to understand? And even if they did offer him some type of “settlement” for a hamstring pull, not a tear mind you, the amount would probably be for a bus ride out of Napa.

Lefty, I know I upset some of you with my dissing of 1) Al Davis, 2) some of the players, and 3)of some of the coaches…

…just know it comes from the heart…I want the Raiders to win so bad that everything and everyone that, IMO, works against us winning pisses me off!

I got lots of friends & family there in CA though. I’ve flown there 3 times already – once for a funeral :(

  • lefty12

4eva-that is just one example.Dakota and i have had many good discussions about our team.i don’t have any problems with him, except his hatred of Cable-would like to see him at least give the guy a season or 2 before always ripping him a new one.as i’ve said before,if we had this blog back in the late 60s,Dakota would have probably ripped AD for hiring Madden

    Tweets from sportsline.com:

Raiders backup QB Jeff Garcia on starter JaMarcus Russell: “He’s a big, strong-armed kid. He’s got a great personality. I think we can help him improve some of the things that he’s working through as far as his conditioning and overall preparation. He has a great attitude, and I’ve seen him grow as a decision-maker.”

3:22 ET Backup QB Jeff Garcia said his “leadership” and “work ethic” can help the Raiders. “Hopefully, (I’ll) bring strength to the position, help JaMarcus (Russell) grow as a player and just add security. I feel like I can still play at a high level and, if I’m given that opportunity, hopefully I can take advantage of it.”

    DirtyBW,

The top one was from 3:25 ET, I assume from today as it is currently at the top of cbssportsline.com

  • Terrapin

It possibly could be a distraction …the team should be used to this kinda stuff by now, sadly.

All the coaches may have to be questioned. For a guy that supposedly loves the Raiders (Hanson), he sure isn’t acting that way now.

The turd should’ve been flushed a long time ago.

  • lefty12

KK-i’ve heard Cable say(i’m paraphrasing)that there isn’t enough hours in a day to get all the work done they need to do.so yes,any time Cable has to spend on this BS will be a distraction from him getting his work done.

Nothing at all against Tom Cable, but, this is just another example counterproductive bullshyt Al Davis’ management produces.
    =======================================================
Sad and true. Now all the coaches will have to go through interviews and depositions….Cable might get hauled into the court room during the season….why?

Because Al Davis management skills are no longer effective in the modern era.

This Hanson guy is a caricature. How does a clown like that hold down an NFL job….to be a snitch no less…probably talking “Boss Hog” to other players and coaches.

Al Davis really needs some help. His organization is a mess

  • RaiderRockstar

“We at the Napa Police Department, our officers investigated it to the best of our abilities, but we were handling it as a misdemeanor,” McGovern said. “But a broken jaw does make it a felony – that is why the case is being reopened.”

On Thursday, a report on the National Football Post Web site said that Hanson was choked and had his life threatened by Cable, according to unidentified sources. The report said Hanson’s attorney, John McGuinn, would turn over medical reports to the Napa police Friday.

McGuinn did not return calls seeking comment on Friday.

The National Football Post story cited unidentified sources who gave a detailed account of what seemed to be Hanson’s side of the story. The sources said Cable knocked Hanson out of his chair and into a cabinet, choked him on the ground and threatened twice to kill him before other coaches broke it up.

Any crime committed by an NFL employee, including head coaches, would be considered a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy.

With or without criminal charges, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has the authority to impose a fine and/or suspension on anyone he determines broke the rules.

Jaxon Van Derbeken, Chronicle Staff Writer

  • lefty12

it seems this clown is essentially trying to blackmail the Raiders-or would it be called extortion.anyway,we should get a good idea about how AD feels about Cable by how he reacts.will he support him or throw him under the peripheral bus?

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

All I have to say…is that they better get an assistant coach schooled up to take over when Cable gets pulled.

I am going to guess something happened…and the law is what it is…and you can best believe that Commissioner Goodell is looking for an opportunity to apply the conduct policy to a non-player to demonstrate fairness.

Not good folks…depositions….court time…and what if Hansen does a civil suit….This could tie up Mr. Cable for awhile….and courts don’t care about schedules or anything.

Thanks Mr. Davis for FORCING Tom Cable to have to work with a clown like Mr. Hansen. Good freekn work.

    Get a GM

  • RaiderRon

Wow! The Hansen is Als spy theory is starting to carry some water.

  • http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/63/60563-004-52A399D4.jpg Dakota

Cable should have simply asked Hanson to choke himself, like how Gunny asked Private Pyle in FMJ:

    http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g19/cheaptrick_photos/choke20yourself.jpg

  • Simon

Al fire them both then fire yourself. This is yet another embarrassment and totally ridiculous.

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

Cable demoted the guy because he was confusing the cornerbacks and safeties on the field.

What the hell is Al Davis’ problem with allowing a head coach to do his damn job!

  • RaiderRockstar

“Yeah, we’re still going to take care of it internally,” Cable said. “One thing I will tell you is this _ when all the facts come out, everything will be fine.”

    ***

Tom Cable is a no nonsense guy and a straight shooter according to almost everyone. He said “when all the facts come out” which means all the facts haven’t come out yet … the more we’re hearing, the worse it looks for Cable

He wouldn’t say “everything will be fine” and “no punches were thrown” if that wasn’t true. My guess is either Hanson started it or somebody else shoved Hanson

    =======================================================
Then get a nice obstruction charge thrown on you and then everyone is singing a different tune.

THIS IS ALL ON AL DAVIS! Hanson had about as much business being an assistant coach as I do.

What a load of B.S! A punk guy that no one liked or wanted around…there to spy on the coaches and players.

Al Davis should coach the team himself.

    This is damned ridiculous

  • lefty12

SnB-1st offense.if the com. does anything he’ll probably recommend counseling-something along the lines of anger mgt.1st time offenders don’t usually get suspended.even if this starts out as a felony,it will be probably be plea bargained to a misdemeanor-fine,no jail time-that is unless he extorts a settlement from the Raiders and decides not to press charges.

GO Cable! All I have to say is remember last season when Steve Smith of the Carolina Panthers punched a teammate in the face in which he sustained injury. He was only suspended one game. That is the WORST POSSIBLE scenario. Most likely, Cable will be fined a hefty penalty, like 75,000 to 100,000 dollars.
