Raiders leaders and trailers

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 at 1:00 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Some leaders and trailers with regard to Raiders roster spots and starting roles a day after a 21-20 loss to the 49ers at Candlestick Park:

LEADERS

– WR Louis Murphy. We won’t know for sure until Javon Walker shows what he’s got starting Monday, but he has looked like the rookie wideout most ready to start since the day he arrived. That doesn’t mean Darrius Heyward-Bey won’t play a role _ he will _ but Murphy is doing more than clearing out space at the moment. He’s catching passes and producing.

– DT Desmond Bryant. He is going to be given every opportunity to prove he belongs over the next week, as evidenced by his ascension to the second team. Picked up a half sack along with William Joseph, who also is making a move inside at tackle.

– MLB Ricky Brown. Has had a knack for getting his hands on the ball, whether it be batting down passes like he does in practice, or intercepting a pass and returning it 46 yards, as he did against San Francisco.

– TE Brandon Myers. Was supposed to be a blocker, and maybe he is. But he’s a heck of a receiver, and he’s not simply a block-and-release guy. Myers gets downfield and catches the ball in traffic. The Raiders apparently know how to locate tight ends in the draft.

– RB Michael Bush. Carried three times for 15 yards and it’s his turn to start against New Orleans. Justin Fargas (two carries, three yards) and Darren McFadden (four carries, five yards) couldn’t make any headway against the 49ers. Cable blamed the o-line for high pad level.

– QB Jeff Garcia. Cable saw what he needed to see in the last two minutes of the half. Was beginning to wonder if there was a chance Garcia wouldn’t be on the roster at all because of the length of time he missed. He’ll be the backup, with Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye relatively even for No. 3.

TRAILERS

– WR Nick Miller. A bit of a setback for undrafted free agent from Southern Utah as he averaged 17.2 yards on three kickoff returns and fumbled away a punt return, removing any chance of a Raiders comeback at the end.

– RT Cornell Green. The Raiders don’t seem serious about making Erik Pears a competitor for the starting job. Green was illegally downfield for one penalty and had an illegal formation penalty declined because JaMarcus Russell had tripped and been touched down by Manny Lawson. Those aren’t the penalties of a veteran.

– LB Kirk Morrison. A dislocated left elbow may have given Brown the starting job he’s held for the last three years, but truth be told, Brown has been outplaying him in practice of late, anyway.

– DT Terdell Sands. Bumped to third team and Cable said the move was not related to injury.

– FS Michael Huff. Hiram Eugene has been running with the first team most of the time even when Huff was healthy. With Huff not healthy enough to with a hip injury to face San Francisco, he’ll need to make a few big plays to have a chance to start. Making big plays has never been his specialty as a Raider.

Your own contributions are welcome, of course . . .

No practice today. Conference call with Cable scheduled for 5 p.m. and will relay information later this evening . . .

  2. Terrapin Says:

DT Terdell Sands bumped to 3rd team? HA! Try not even makin’ the team. Its been what 2weeks and dude still isn’t listed on the depth chart. Oh let me guess ..they are still forgetting? HA! ..its a message

  3. eastbayrider Says:

I told dudes L.Murphy was the truth. Can somebody tell me why havent the raiders gave Chris Mcalister a call?
Dude is a shutdown corner which al loves.

  4. eastbayrider Says:

Tony Siragusa right now would be better than any O-Lineman we have right now.

  5. Terrapin Says:

Exactly Priest. I was a bit shocked when you went off on the defense when I was actually defending them mostly last night. The DTs definitely were not the problem as you said. It was the flanks – particularly the RDE area – that was the problem.

The most discouraging this is that its the TEs doing a good bit of the abusing save the LT.

  6. jhill Says:

The edge was a problem, and there’s no sugar coating it. We’ll just have to see if it will continue to be a problem, or if Marshall can make the adjustments.

  7. No More Infield or Trolls Says:

Interesting note …•The Chargers have to tighten up their issues on the offensive line. Star quarterback Philip Rivers was sacked four times in the first seven pass attempts. That is not good.

  8. No More Infield or Trolls Says:

Chargers also had special team coverage problems…

  9. priesttj Says:

Terrapin, message is putting it lightly Dez Bryant has beat him out. Joseph is playing much better and Boschetti aint half bad. Sands is looking at getting cut.

I can’t wait to see Mitchell and I’m definitely ready for some cutdowns. I want to see what this defense really looks like.

  10. DKnight007 Says:

I’m glad the Big Terd is has been demoted to 3rd team.

Boschetti, Joseph and Bryant need to see more time than that underachieving overpaid Terd.

  11. Albert Bigelow Paine Says:

Had my fantasy draft today. The only Raider I picked up was Heyward-Bey with the second to last pick. I figured, what the hell.

  12. Oakglenn Says:

I don’t know Jerry Mac, every scouting report I saw thought Brandon Myers was a good receiver but NOT a good blocker. And from the looks of it, that kid not only can find seams and knows where to sit in zones, but he also has incredibly soft hands. So, if you are right, that makes Al and the Raiders scouting department, incredible uber genuises.

  13. Albert Bigelow Paine Says:

Al Davis knows how to find TE, CB, and Punters.

  14. 909RaiderLifer Says:

For those of you who can get it, KTLA is showing a re-play of the game NOW…

  15. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

The mentality on defense SHOULD be to dare opponents to run the ball. Not hope the opponent won’t run it.

We can debate whether its the DEs or DTs or LBs or a combination, the bottom line is that the TEAM is not stopping the run.

That will be a big problem with this schedule. Its too late for free agents and the like, Marshall has get these guys coached up. I hope we don’t have to keep hearing about pad level this entire season.

    ————————————————

Ive read scouting reports that he was a good blocker, especially in pass protection.

Which is perfect for a 2 TE set

  17. jhill Says:

Zack Miller should be out in patterns. He’s really not effective blocking

  18. Teabag Says:

Zach is a capable blocker… It just makes no sense to keep him in when he can really eat up a defense

  19. 860Todd Christensen Says:

FYI, the game will be on the NFL channel at 10pm, eastern, tonight….

  20. Mistabrown Says:

Marshall is doing ZERO game planning. Dont forget this a new scheme players are still learning it. Marshall is weeding out the dead weight. I guarantee if R Ryan still the DC Sands would be on the first team with pizza attaboys from Rob!

We are not going to sit back in that read & react mode we have been in the last 5 years. Those days are over we are going to get after the Qb. With those corners & T Howard theres no reason why we shouldn’t be sending the FKN house!

Myers is a nice surprise lets see him sustain it.

Jerry fix this FKN blog !

  21. jhill Says:

I’m looking at Miller blocking right now, and it’s not impressive.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s more about how much better he is out in the pattern. But on some of these run plays, let’s just say he’s not a factor.

  22. Mistabrown Says:

860, who the FK wants to watch that again ?

Thanks for the heads up though!

  23. jhill Says:

The problem with the posting comments probably won’t get fixed. The hits have probably gone through the sky with all the F5ing we are doing.

Had my fantasy draft today. The only Raider I picked up was Heyward-Bey with the second to last pick. I figured, what the hell.

^^^^^^Zach Miller, DMC and Bush should have been looked at.

Chaz would have been a nice late round pick, but he is out 4-6 weeks obviously.

  25. priesttj Says:

The fact that we have 3 TE’s capable of getting out and catching passes makes us very versatile. Not to mention Marcel Reece has become a possible recieving threat along with Luke Lawton. Russell seem sto be getting very comfortable with check downs and screens something some (Jerry) said he couldn’t do.

Like Terrapin is saying though if you critically watch the game you’ll see we have the ability to stop the run. I think all of us are hyper-sensative the run D and for good reason but when you look at that game until the starters came out and they strted to attack the perimeter they struggled to run especially at Warren and Kelly. They attacked the perimeter.

  26. 860Todd Christensen Says:

Mista, it wasn’t available on the East Coast last night, will watch tonight though…..

  27. 408RAIDER Says:

Ok Im over it… It was just a preseason game..

  28. 860Todd Christensen Says:

FREE DIRTY on the 28th! How ya doing 408? How’s the princess?

  29. Mistabrown Says:

Brown might be out playing KM but does he have the size of a MLB? It doesnt look like it to me. I like him in the nickle package with only 2 LB’s but in the base package I want more beef helping with the run.

  30. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

It shouldn’t take a PH’D dissertation to find the bright spots with this run defense. I am tired of capble. I want a defense that doesn’t give up 140+yds per game on the ground.

Cable, Howard and Morrison alluded to problems. The damn 49ers ran the same play.

They have a lot of work to do and not too much time to do it. I don’t want to have to hear about pad level all year.

    —————————————————-

I think this is exactly right. What we are now seeing is teams attacking the outside and let’s be honest, the LB corp has not up to the challenge. That leaves the safeties to come up in support, which is what happened last year, and we all know how that worked out. So now we have Howard who appears to be a suspect run defender, Morrison out, and a very undersized Alston potentially on the other side.

Teabag, I guess I should’ve clarified that a little. Iowa guys are going to be decent blockers by default and Myers has good size and excellent upper body strength. He also runs a 4.7 forty which is decent for a guy his size. I think the guy has great hands. Nice prospect.

Jerry, you need to go back to the servers that were hit with the virus. You guys must have missed something in the new config. Doesnt look like you guys have an effective DR in place. The rebuilt or new servers are not letting everyone post at the same time. Makes it appear that we are posting commenst to fast when the DB server cant register the transactions long fast enough. Did you guys switch The DB server to a diffrent platform????? You guys need to get some “REAL” guys to fix this crap….

  37. Raider75 Says:

    Fix the damn board Jerry.

  38. Thec07 Says:

Contracosta times, Hire some guys who know WTF they are doing. You lose your main server and dont have a backup or any kind of DR.

Instead of investing in the newspapers which no one reads anymore, try investing in a consultant team that can fix your problems the bay area is full of them one on every corner. i bet my boy 408 knows some folks that could put this issues to bed in less than 4 hours.

You can’t really call him starting cause these games don’t count, but to answer your question, I’m sure they are just seeing what he can do against the ones. Apparently, it’s not much. At least not against the run.

  42. Thec07 Says:

408, what up Bro??????? Hey 8, could you refer some code heads, DB guys to jerry. The Staff the contracosta times dont know WTF they are doing. I could have put one of my teams on it and the problem would have been solved from day one.

Man, it’s a great day to be a Raiders fan. Isn’t it?

Brown doesn’t look like a monster, but he’s playing like he could be one. Hopefully, his body can take the pounding inside — especially since he knows he’s expected to be more aggressive at the point of attack.

The next few weeks will be interesting to watch kids like Norris and Nixon…to see if either, or both, of them can make a real case for playing more than Special Teams this year.

Prediction: Against N.O., Michael Bush will prove he SHOULD be the #1 ball-carrier for this team. We know it’s not Fargas — as Cable’s let him play himself out of the job. And we know McFadden is NOT the banger Lance wanted him to be.

It doesn’t matter which of the 3 primary RB’s “starts” a game…but MBush should be getting at least the same amount of CARRIES (not touches) as DMC over the year. If he definitively puts the hammer down this game, Bush cannot be kept off the field.

?? Did somebody say the Raiders know how to find TE’s in the draft??

It’s entirely possible the NFL will be acknowledging the Raiders STILL know how to draft players all over the field later this year.

It’s a great YEAR to be a Raiders fan!

  49. raidertay Says:

The running game has been a concern since the Dalas game. 49ers just made it a lil more obvious. I still think the T. Scott needs to be replaced by Jay Richardson on running downs.

DHB certaninly nt going to be ready to assist us antime soon. Murphey may. I definitely hope we see A LOT of 2 TE sets. Meyers on one end and ZMiller on the other. Helps the running game and is proabbly our best passing formation until Chaz comes bak.

  50. Twocents Says:

Things I want to see next week out of the first units:
*somebody starting at RT not named Green
*opening drive that results in six points
    *Walker playing well
    *Shaughnessy at RDE

Also I’d like to see Mitchell take the field at some point. Otherwise I fear it’s IR for him.

  51. raidertay Says:

I thought Kelly and Warren played pretty good. Both those big men look agile batting balls down. 9ers ketp bustin a power sweep, you cant blame that on the DTs. The LBs are suppose to be filling those.

  52. Terrapin Says:

When is 1st cut date? This week?

I’m watching the Packers vs Buffalo and man that Packers defense is NASTY if this game is any indication. I still like seeing CWood on the field = pretty good blitzer. Wish he were still a Raider to be honest. Its just in him.

  53. 909RaiderLifer Says:

    And you would be wrong.
Both Warren and Kelly were in until almost the end of the second quarter. While both were in Coffee had numerous runs up the middle, including 18 yd runs, couple 8 yd runs, along with a slew of 5 yd or so.
Kelly is a joke. A massive blob of a joke.

While Kelly was in IR, the Raiders D line gave up 4.8 ypc. Al stupidly gave Kelly a huge contract, where he came back for final 7 games or so, where the d line then gave up 5.3 ypc.

He’s just one of those on that long list of “Al Davis’s Dumb Decisions of 2008″

BTW..that 31st against the run ranking the Raiders had last year?
Was WITH KELLY AND WARREN BOTH IN.

LMAO..uh…sasquatch? Gore was in for ONLY the first series..had two runs…THAT’S IT.
One for 4 yds. one for 3.
Missed the “little to nothing” part.

You must be thinking of McFadden..4 CARRIES FOR 5 YDS..

    Replay??
You want to see that again? lol..uh..why?

That was about as embarrassing an outing as you’ll likely get.
Ok, I lied. You’re the Raiders. You can do worse.

    But hard to believe, actually.

I mean, some here were predicting how the Raiders 3 headed “RB MONSTER” was going to shred the Niners d line.

    Gosh..let’s evaluate that.
    Bush 15 yds.
    McFadden 5 yds.
    Fargas 3 yds.

    23 yds..9 CARRIES…

    That was ugly.

Raiders top 3 RB’s on the day got 23 yds.

Niners top 3 rb’s on the day? Got 277 YARDS.

Against the Niners scrubs, most who won’t make the team, in the 3rd quarter Bush managed two carries, 5 yds…

Coffee, in consecutive carries, got 18, 18 and 36 yds.

Oh..and Coffee isn’t the starter, lol.

Oh, and it wasn’t just a ROOKIE RB who shredded the Raiders for 129 in little more than a quarter..after Coffee, his replacement Robinson got 97, and hell, his replacement, Sheets, another ROOKIE, got more than 3 times what your leading rusher got.

    1) Trevor Scott is a rush end, not a run stuffer.

    2) Thomas Howard is not Rod Martin.

    3) We haven’t had a good SLB since Romonowski.

    4) We haven’t had a run stopper at MLB since Biekert.

    5) I actually think Warren is an above average DT,
but Kelly is not worth half his contract.

The bottom line is this, we have a speed oriented defense that won’t stop the run until we get some thumpers in the rotation.

Cable will have to prove me wrong that the talent exists on this roster.

All I know is the Raiders had most of their starters in for the full first half..Niners sat some, and had their best RB, Gore, in for two carries…THAT’S IT..had their best WR, ProBowl Bruce, in for one series, THAT’S IT..had their best LB, ProBowl Willis OUT..and still you lost.

With two rookie RB’s carrying the ball, the Niners completely embarrassed the hell out of the Raiders running game (which YOU ALL SAID WAS YOUR MASSIVE STRENGTH, WHERE SOME OF YOU FOOLS STATED WOULD RUN ALL OVER THE NINERS).

With the Niners best RB on the bench, and the Raiders best rb’s in the game into the 3rd quarter, the Niners BEAT YOUR ASS 275 net yards to 69.

    that IS EMBARRASSING.

Niners held the ball 39 minutes compared to 21.

Niners sat on the ball, inside the red zone, at the end, because the game was in their control.

Niners exposed a ton of holes the Raiders have been stating “have been corrected”.

    And now?

There was some embarrassment last nite for certain. What was embarrassing were the Whiner Q’s. They looked awful. Alex Smith is just plain bad. There’s an expression in the NFL: If you are winning your pre season games, you’re not looking at enough players. The Raider ones, kicked the Whiner ones around the yard. And that’s despite Cable opting to go for it on 4th early, deep in the Whiner end, instead of taking points. The Whiners were trying to win the game, we were trying different things, different combinations, different offensive sets. Rack-o-shit and his sidekick “Whiner” Rot, have once again embarassed themselves by not having any idea what is going on out there.

Well our pro bowl WR Javon Walker didn’t even suit up, so I think you had a slight advantage at WR!

    LMFAO!

Our starting MLB played 1 series and then broke his elbow. I guess we got you there.

And uhhh …. Since we are talking about the 1st half, I think you lost that since you couldn’t convert all that ridiculous run yardage into points.

But I can see why your happy with your team. Your team is the 49rs, right? That’s another ? you never answered.

What I was not happy to see was our defense. We have to clean house after this year.

Murphy was impressive out there on the field. DHB is going to have to learn how to beat double coverages and sit in spaces for JAM to get him the ball.

  117. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    CJ Legend 34,

You are right about DHB and double coverage. He has to get open. He can’t be a decoy all day. not for #7 money. He has to get open and make plays…he has to start creating.

  118. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

I also don’t understand the criticism of Russell using his checkdowns to backs and tight ends. The receivers have to do a better job of getting open. Period. Chaz Schilens was able to get 5 catches.

    —————————-

Ummm…for a guy who says he knows a lot about football, you sure contradict yourself a lot.

“Being beat” is any number or combination of things. Even if it were as simple as “miscommunication” each time Clements was burned (it wasn’t), he was embarrassingly schooled by a rookie last night. Burned. And, he would’ve been burned just as badly by JLH the one play. Clements was exposed, and would’ve been all night long, had he stayed out there.

And…”Roman was supposed to drift over” is a load of crappola. You conveniently ignore the reason/s behind his failure to do so. This Raiders team is loaded with weapons that will require teams to pay attention all over the field, and you know it. So do other teams, as Roman proved last night.

I’ll take plays like Murphy’s TD…CAUSED BY other teams’ “miscommunications” all year long. Too many weapons to watch = lots more missed assignments.

When Al Davis gave those big contracts to the Turd and Kelly, he was listening to the garbage coming from Warren “the has-been motor mouth” Sapp, who was talking them up as being “monsters!” Al Davis got caught up in the bull-crap and gave the big bucks. Another big mistake by Al over the last few years.

If you watch the game again, up until we score 21 points (21-3) we did pretty good…not bad for the 2nd pre-season game. I couldn’t bear to watch after that…and I didn’t. I removed it from “t-bol.”

I’m thinking, like a few of you have already mentioned, that maybe Garcia isn’t a good fit with out offense and zone blocking…he runs around too much. Ya, that’s his style but maybe he’s a better fit else where. Our other 2 QB’s Graw & Frye seem like a better fit? We’ll see next week as Garcia will play at least a full quarter (the 3rd probably).

Anyway, we have a way to go and hopefully this Cable breaking the mouth of “the stoolie-rat” Hanson doesn’t become a side track issue that results in suspension for Cable. Hope it goes away.

SnB you are right on the money there. Russell does do a good job of checking down. What you did not see last night but I think you will in the future is they are going to start checking down to DMAC doing a little out from the backfield and turning it up. That should open up some things down the field.

I’m not sure if JaMarcus has the discipline to have a 65% completion rate this year…but he can certainly be over 60%, as he’s exhibiting so far this preseason. His check-downs have been pretty good (if not always necessary), and he doesn’t play too loose with the ball while trying to do too much.

The figures you show above are from less-than a game’s worth of action. If JaMarcus’s “normal” game day figures are something like this: 19/30 for 230-yds and 2 TD’s/1 Int, with a QB rating above 90…the Raiders will win their division.

Why do you think the Raiders were the worst at 3rd down conversions?

Why do you think the Raiders LEADING RECEIVER was your TE?

Why do you think the Raiders LEADING WR last year caught a pathetically low 22 catches?? 22..lol..not even two per game.

And why did Russell only complete ONE PASS TO A WR YESTERDAY?? And even at that, was because of broken coverage?

Let me say that again. Bragged about how you got another man to talk to you on the internet again.

And by the way, I thought you’d take this route instead of talking about your ridiculous football takes.

It seems when fans don’t get what they think should get they get very presumptuous. If the Raiders thought their front 7 was elite I would really start to question their judgement But I have yet to hear them say that.

I think our front7 is above average with maybe one or two players capable od being dominant. What the Raiders want IMO is a front7 that plays well together and stays withing the scheme. That can get you elite results but the Raiders have an aged DE in Ellis a very capable edge rusher in Scott. I do believe if Kelly wants to he can be an elite 3tech what he did on goaline last night was awesome he completely blew up one play when he was inserted for one play.

That’s the kind of stuff Warren and Kelly are capable of when they are right. They can take over a game from the DT spot. T Howard is a special talent the rest are quality players that can play a role in the front7 being very succesful. There were times when kelly and Warren just stoned the 49er running game. But we must get better production from the DE’s and the young LBers and safeties to really be good.

I just hope Mike Mitchell can get back to pracrice sometime soon.

You’re right little ricky, it’s there for all to see, including you and your selective amnesia.

If you recall, you were getting slapped around so bad that you admitted you hadn’t even bothered to look up if Cable actually said he flipped the chair. LMFAO! That was your whole argument. That Cable was such a dumbass, he couldn’t even get his story straight.

Richochet: Again, weak ass reply to 130..selective diversion wandering, hoping it masks you looking the fool.
It didn’t. So, let me commence humbling your inept ass here.
Point was Cable stupidly stated “handling internally”
In other words, something DID HAPPEN, but he’s not going to discuss it..and “we’ll take care of it”.
After prodding he then got flustered and stated ‘NOTHING HAPPENED”..where comments were made, even alluded to AGAIN, in Sunday’s paper about “Which is it, Coach? First it’s being handled internally..then NOTHING happened..then ‘all the facts will come out”.
If NOTHING HAPPENED, HOW CAN THERE BE FACTS??”
And yes, hundreds of sites are commending on “Cable flipped the chair, and that’s how he got hurt.”
I simply stated I can’t be bothered to search whether or not he actually stated..see…THAT WAS ME THAT SAID THAT, clueless tool. No one asked me for a link..or questioned..was only AFTER I stated I could care less then, AND ONLY THEN you and the others who had ZERO TO SAY REGARDING THE REST ran with that weak retort.
In other words, you had no words.
    And you’re easily..oh so easily..confused.
    Like I said..you’re kind of slow..aren’t you?
    ——————————————-

You got blasted for “admitting” that you basically didn’t know what the F you were talking about. Then you “stepped away” for a minute and magically reappeared when I told another poster I constantly get you to say things like that.

Richochet: You’re like a child. You don’t get it, do you? First off, this sorryass site constantly doesn’t let you post..after a couple of ’slow down” messages, I wander elsewhere. Just not worth it to me to hang around..why does that confuse you?
And I left for like an hour, DUMBASS..not for a minute.
You saying you actually just stay here? Live for this board? Do nothing else?
    I.E. LOSER?? Good one, Gomer.

BTW..regarding “You always get me to say things like that”??
lol..uh…shit for brains? That was when I exposed you as not even having a clue who I was..WHICH YOU ADMITTED.
    Thanks for the setup, doofus.
    —————————————
Now..let’s go back to where you, Jhill, got all pissy, and I stated you’re weak and meek, and that within a day you’ll be crying NO MAS..”go away..leave me alone..I’m done..I don’t want to post to you anymore”

TOOK LESS THAN A DAY..and yes..after you ran the ‘I’m done posting to you” I humbled your sorryass..embarrassed you..where you, as I KNEW YOU WOULD jumped to try and save face..where I got to laugh at you again, for taking the carrot.

    Stellar moment, doofus, lol..

Like I said..like taking candy from a baby.

I should’ve used the words “resulting from other teams’ miscommunications” as opposed to “caused by.”

We caused the pressure last night, that resulted in Murphy’s TD.

It was not an accidental TD. Explaining it away as such is as illogical as explaining-away the Raiders run-stopping woes last night…neither claim holds water.
    =====================================
    “Caused the pressure”????
    How so??

    What led up to it?

Went from first and goal from where? The 7 or so..and went backwards..to now it was 3rd and goal from the 23 or so. Niners were easily defending Russell. he had zero completions to WR’s..again..all dumpoffs.
The fact that Clements assumed Roman took Murphy when he released him, and Roman missed it wasn’t anything the Raiders did, was it?
I mean, are you saying that Murphy, doing a routine stop and go, caused something??
Clements casually released him..and roman didn’t pick him up.
    Nothing more, nothing less.
    D blew it.

Granted, Russell made the throw, but hey..wide open? No one around him? Shouldn’t every qb make that throw?
Yes, you got a td..but you know it was a gift, and not earned.

There you are little ricky …

some of us have been of the new post for a while now.

I know the genius’ miss the little things sometimes.

Care to join us, or do you want to just keep talking to yourself over here?

Cmon over, it’s just the internet!

  143. lebrone33 Says:

Ricky Brown did a beautiful job on the tipped ball yesterday. But if he is the starting middle linebacker the Raiders are really hurting. Brown gives up way too much grown in the middle. He was getting bounced around like a crash dummy. He is not nearly strong enough or athletic enough to play in the middle. It looks like this year is a wrap as far as the run defense. Hopefully, next year the Raiders will go after a legitimate run stopping linebacker in the draft. Actually, none of our linebackers are stout enough. That is the major problem with the run defense, not the DL. Watch the film.

  144. ryan5100 Says:

The Raiders should be smart for a change. And sign free agent Marvin Harrison. The man can still play. And if they have him,i think they have a chance of makeing the playoffs. I don’t trust Javon Walker i don’t think he can get it done.

Harrison would be a great asset to the raiders offense. So the raiders should hurry up and sign the guy.
