Raiders cut Garcia?

Profootballtalk.com is reporting the Raiders have cut Jeff Garcia.
Heard earlier in the day it was a possibility but was unable to confirm.
Tom Cable will speak regarding Raiders cuts by conference call at 4 p.m.

Gradkowski can do what Garbage-cia can and Frye has a bigger arm and both are younger. This makes sense for the future to have a backup to Russell

Garcia never looked that good in preseason. His pick in the Niners game was a terrible throw, about 2 feet too high (and in the NFL you can’t be high in the middle of the field). In the Seattle game he missed a wide open Nick Miller and one-hoped Holland on a 6 yard hitch, followed by Garica yelling at Holland for no apparent reason.

VR………people were overlooking scheme. This offense is built more for a QB with a bigger arm. I tried to tell people this but some wouldnt listen. Garbage-cia never had a chance to start and that is what she wanted. We hopefully are building a long term winnig team here and we needed true backups to play their role and not sulk about it.
I’m too happy but would be estatic if Farglass was next

I think I remember him from his chargless days. the jints arfe deeeeep at DT and I was hoping he would be cut. could bump the other Bryant out to DE and we would suddenly have a decent rotation there imo…we could fix our both our lines now with all the guys hittin the streets

According to the Chronicle, Terdell Sands and Ryan Boschetti just got cut as well. Guess that leaves Kelly, Warren, Bryant and Joseph as the DTs.

Raiders released QB Jeff Garcia.
Wow. The Raiders brought Garcia in to push JaMarcus Russell and be a high-quality backup. Now they’ve given up on that idea. We’re pretty sure Garcia wasn’t cut because the Raiders were so confident in Russell, so this could say something about Garcia’s skills. Or more likely, it says something about the Raiders’ brains. They’ll go with Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye behind Russell.

I know we all remember Rich Gannon. I think this was another bone-headed move by the Raider coaching staff (Al Davis). Garcia could have been a repeat of Gannon’s excellence during our playoff run. Think about RaiderNation.
