YES!!!!! Let’s go Raiders!!!! BSPN was reporting a load of crap all week and now they are proven wrong again.

Look at young Lane looking sharp …
Tennesee over UCLA big today!
September 12th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
Walker out.
JLH
DHB
Murphy
Yikes!
September 12th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Kirk
While I like Warren, he’s getting pushed around too easily in the middle. Bryant will be an upgrade there. Kelly & Bryant should be able to stuff any run attempts up the middle while Kelly & Seymour in the middle during passing plays should be able to collapse the middle of the pocket very quickly. It will be very interesting to see how Marshall utilizes Seymour’s unique skillset.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Yeah, I know Mista …
Lets all say it together. TWO TE SETS!!!!!
September 12th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
I cant wait to see how they spin how he wanted to be here for the last 5 days but waited until today.
Jerry I’m posting too quickly?
WTF!
September 12th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
How can Walker be out? Seriously? This seriously pisses me off. Just cut him loose already if hes never going to play…this whole experiment has been a waste. How can he not be ready? He can’t beat out 2 rookies and JLH? WTF?
September 12th, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Warren is getting doubled A LOT. And why wouldn’t he playing next to Trevor Scott who was EASILY being handled by a TE. Warren is the happiest camper in the league having Seymour next to him.
Defensive issues have been resolved.
Can we please figure out how to score in the first qtr, and put up at least 24 pts?
TWO TE SETS !!!!
September 12th, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Meet the new scapegoat for the Raiders’ outdated defensive strategy. Raiders run defense doesn’t improve, guess who gets the blame?
September 12th, 2009 at 12:48 pm
Yeah,
Holland would be a better option than Walker at this point.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:49 pm
Fargas being out for the opener is the first step to his demise. If DMac, Bush & Rankin do well, the end for Fargas will be in sight. Too bad for him as he is a good team player and he gives it his all but he’s an accident looking to happen. Hence the nickname “crash test dummy”.
You are only valuable if you play & contribute.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:49 pm
I kept hearing from different websites that Walker was going to be the comeback player of the year from the way he was practicing. Now he won’t even be ready for the first game of the season. O well, he sucks anyways. Or maybe he wants to be 100% for week 3 against the Broncos!!!
September 12th, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Thats it…trade next years 1st round for Boldin. I don’t think we have the money unfortunately.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
JB – I don’t know. Cable loves Fargas it seems.

I predict Cable will equally love DMac, Bush
& Rankin when it’s all said & done. That of course assume the O-Line can get their act together. We still have questions at C & RG and a known weakness at RT. I guess that means we run left with a double TE set.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:57 pm
Mista
It doesn’t matter about the spin you think they’ll put on it. Bottom line is he is here. He said he wanted to be here. Cable was right that he had talked to him a couple times (nobody believed him especially you). He will play Monday night and soon the contract will work itself out.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
The biggest thing Seymour brings this defense is confidence. They are going to really be feeling themselve with Seymour in the lineup.
Biggest question is without question Cable’s offense.
I just have to see it to believe it.
September 12th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
01rdrfan,
ESPN was reporting c rap? Let’s see, they reported that Seymour hadn’t yet arrived in Oakland. True.
They reported that Seymour was disgruntled by the trade. True. (Seymour admits today he was “taken by surprise”. That’s workplace slang for “this is BS!!!”)
Sorry, but ESPN’s reporting checks out. Seymour did not want to be here. That’s what was taking him so long. ESPN reported that, which was true, and some columnists speculated as to why, which is their job. Sorry. And, actually, it was the Raiders doing all of the lying. Cable said that Seymour wanted to be a Raider early in this debacle. LIE. As usual when it comes to the media and the Oakland Raiders, the media was not lying. The Raiders were.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:00 pm
JB – I hope so. I really hope Barnes can get ready and play at RT. He would have to be better at run blocking than Green.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
No Maddenpuzzy, YOU are the liar…
http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/rap_sheet/?p=3639
>>They reported that Seymour was disgruntled by the trade. True. (Seymour admits today he was “taken by surprise”. That’s workplace slang for “this is BS!!!”)>>
First of all, I was blindsided by this whole event,” Seymour, the five-time Pro Bowler, told Borges. “When you get blindsided, you should take a moment to gather your thoughts. I have a lot of PERSONAL issues more pressing than football.”
>>Sorry, but ESPN’s reporting checks out. Seymour did not want to be here. That’s what was taking him so long. ESPN reported that, which was true, and some columnists speculated as to why, which is their job. Sorry.>>
it’s worth noting that Seymour has been in REGULAR contact with Raiders coach Tom Cable and owner Al Davis about his issues. And what are they?
Well, Seymour has four children, plus, he is the guardian of his 15-year-old cousin whose mother has passed. The 15-year-old had been in school in South Carolina until this year, at which point he was starting in North Attleboro… until the trade.
“There are a lot of different emotions,” Seymour said. “Football was not my main concern at that point. I have had discussions with the Raiders… I’m EXCITED and happy with the way they’re looking at me.”
>>Cable said that Seymour wanted to be a Raider early in this debacle. LIE. As usual when it comes to the media and the Oakland Raiders, the media was not lying. The Raiders were.>>
Effing BS…”I didn’t demand anything to go there,” he said. “I’m HAPPY to go there, and I TOLD them that. But me and my family have never been separated. This was a difficult transition.”
What did Cable lie about you lying sack of
September 12th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
I am sure that Seymour did tell Cable that he wanted to be a Raider, even if it wasn’t true. If he had to go there I am sure he didn’t want to poison the atmosphere even before arriving.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:04 pm
Kiffin time. UCLA – Tenn about to start. Did you guys see his pre game sideline interview? He challenged the Raiders to a game. Any time, any stadium. I’m not joking.

Almost anyone would be an improvement over Green at RT. I’m amazed someone else couldn’t have displaced him as starter. That says a whole lot about the quality of our backup tackles.
Next year’s draft: OT, C, DT, DE, OG, MLB.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:07 pm
Seymour doesn’t show up for a week, and says he was blind sided by the trade. Anybody who believes he wanted to be a Raider considering that has some serious comprehension issues. ESPN did not lie. Cable did. End of story.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:07 pm
Hope Seymour does for the Raider Front what Reggie White did for the Packers front.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
I hope the Raiders use some of the creativity on offense that is being commented on this blog right now.
My thought would be a two tight end, no unbalanced line, so both outside linebackers have to read who blocks or they have to back off for a pass.
The next potential offense is to have DMAC, move to the slot and go with a empty backfield, or leave Bush in the backfield when DMAC moves to the slot.
The field will be open to one side or move DMAC to the open side and let a DB cover him. With a two tight end set no extra DB’s will be in, only linebackers, advantage Zach Miller.
What does the free safety do, cover DMAC him over the top or DHB. Meyers then has a linebacker covering him, if he goes out in the pass pattern, advantage us. Finally if we run the ball successfully, Those linebackers on a play fake must hold and it creates better seperation for Miller or Meyers due to the linebackers waiting a split second.
Let’s hope we open up the playbook, our speed is only as good as the matchups we create with those defenders.

Q: Have you sent Richard a letter or do you plan to do so?
Cable: I don’t have any knowledge of that right now. I’ve heard something about that. But I have no knowledge of that right now.
Madden raider here is what Cable said. Where is the lie?
Q: Has the five-day letter been discussed?
Cable: No, no. It has been nothing more than just trying to get some of these details worked out, that’s it.
Q: Have you talked to Richard since Monday?
Cable: I have, but not in the last 24 hours.
Q: He still wants to be here?
Cable: Yes.

The Raiders will not run the ball more than 16 times.
The Raiders would win this game, and probably win 9 games this year, if they ran the ball 35-40 times a game. If Cable tried to do that, however, Al would have him gone by mid season, win or lose.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Dell
You are right on. Add to those formations the fact that BOTH DMac & Bush, past QB’s, can throw the option pass. Or, a wildcat with DMac, Bush & Rankin – Whoa! Nobody will know what’s going to happen. The possibilities are endless and only limited by Cable’s imagination.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Will this be televised??
September 12th, 2009 at 1:16 pm
Forget the wildcat. This is the NFL not the SEC. Just get JLH, McFadden, and Bush the ball and block.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
JB – Honestly, you make a good point. We have the QB, RB and WR taken care of in the draft. This team could realistically start focusing on the offensive and defensive lines in the upcoming drafts to build around these players. The question is where we’ll be in the draft and if Taylor Mays is in Al Davis’ sights.

September 12th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
RMR, you may be right, but I am just not a fan of the wildcat for the Raiders. Maybe our coaching is not good enough for it.

Right there on line three and I quote “and I told them that”. So how the heck did Cable lie? It may not be his true feelings I won’t debate that but it is what he was saying all week to the Raiders. Sorry your Mangena is full of sand.

Typical Maddenliar logic, if it’s postive about the Raiders its a lie…Hey dummy, Seymour’s story makes sense, Cable said he wanted to be here, Seymour confirmed that. Again, how did Cable lie? Hell, if that fat uneducated Warren Sapp spews crap about us, he’s always 100% correct right? You’re so desperate and stupid at the same time it’s unreal.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:31 pm
“First of all, I was blindsided by this whole event,” Seymour told the Herald. “When you get blindsided, you should take a moment to gather your thoughts. I have a lot of personal issues more pressing than football.”
Seymour has four children and is the guardian of a 15-year-old cousin, who had recently joined him in the Boston area. Seymour’s family will return to South Carolina, while he flies to Oakland on Saturday to join his new team.
Seymour said he has been in regular contact with Raiders owner Al Davis and coach Tom Cable. He said he has talked with the Raiders about a possible contract extension or a promise not to be designated the franchise player following the season, but was given no guarantees.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:32 pm

dont forget that Seymour’s wife is his highschool gf and they have never been separated. I dont know about you guys but I moved from the Bayarea to Memphis, TN last year for my wife’s med school. It is a big decision and it took us months to contemplate it. This guy is blinded sided with 6 days and the haters are trying to spin it other ways…
September 12th, 2009 at 1:34 pm
RaiderKen, what’s Seymour supposed to say now? He’s on the team, he’s cool now, he’ll be here. Of course he’s not going to say, now, that he doesn’t want to play in Oakland. But when a guy doesn’t show up for a week, and the reason he gives is that he was “blind sided”, it’s pretty obvious to anyone who’s not in utter denial. He did not want to be here when the trade took place. That is obvious. He was awol, and and refusing to show up (Your idol Al Davis sent him a letter giving him 5 days to report. Did he send Seymore that warning because Seymour wanted to be here?). During that time, Cable said that Seymour wanted to be here, and it was a lie. ESPN did not lie once throughout this ordeal. The Raiders did.

PFT won’t leave the Raider’s alone. Trying to stir trouble:
Javon Walker, Raiders disagree about readiness
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 12, 2009 3:53 PM ET
Nothing is ever simple with Javon Walker, especially since he’s joined the Raiders.
Despite being active on their roster, Walker hasn’t been listed of late on the team’s depth chart. And Oakland coach Tom Cable is sitting him in Week One, saying Walker is “not quite ready.”
Walker disagrees, believing he is 100%.
On most teams, this would be a big story considering the Raiders guaranteed Walker’s 2009 salary before the oft-injured receiver underwent a “secret” surgery.
In Oakland, it’s just another surprising story. It looked like Walker was the team’s third receiver to open September, but something has apparently changed in the meantime.
With Chaz Schillens out, the Raiders are expected to start two rookie wide receivers: Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy.
Meanwhile, the man who signed a “$55 million” contract just a year ago will be watching from the sidelines.

September 12th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
You’re a spin doctor i see, the letter was never ment as a threat. It is procedure in the NFL, they said there was no letter. If there were a letter then he is reporting early cause the letter was sent on the 10th.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
Harrison said “he wasn’t thrilled” but he DIDN’T say what he wasn’t thrilled about. According to Seymour, the transition of moving his family is WHAT he wasn’t thrilled about…By the way dumbazz, Seymour backs up Cable’s statement so how did he lie?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Madden Raider who cares about speculation. We are talking about facts and you brought up the Cable is a liar. Let’s review again all I said was Cable said Seymour wants to be a Raider and today it was confirmed by Seymour himself the he told the Raiders that. So again Where is the lie?
September 12th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
You guys, let’s assume he’s really having family issues, that he just wanted to iron out personal issues, what have you. Why couldn’t he just call Al Davis and tell him that? Al is a reputed players’ owner. Al would have understood that. The reason Al sent him the 5 day warning is because Seymour was telling the Raiders to pound sand, and you guys know it. But keep blaming ESPN for doing their job and reporting on what’s as obvious as the sky being blue.

Despite his late arrival, Seymour said he plans to be on the field for Oakland’s opener Monday night against San Diego.
“I’ll be the guy on top of the quarterback,” he said.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:47 pm
You guys are in utter denial. Al gave him a 5 day warning. You don’t give guys warnings when they’re on good terms. Al is a players’ owner. There’s no way he would shun Seymour’s request for a little bit off time due to personal issues. Al’s the last owner that would be that strict, particularly to a player. Al sent him the warning because Seymour had made it clear to the Raiders, to the media, and to the entire world pretty much that he had no intentions whatsoever of showing up in Oakland. He was t’d off about the trade because they traded him to Oakland. That’s why Al drew the line in the sand. Al would not have done that if were even remotely convinced that Seymour actually wanted to be here, but was just held up with family issues. You guys are lying to yourselves. That’s all you’re doing.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Of course they’ll get their story straight, all’s good.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:48 pm
Sure, guys. Al sent Seymour the warning letter because Seymour wanted to be here all along. Al Davis, the players’ owner. I believe it. I’m gullible, too.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:49 pm
Lying to ourselves? Everything about of your mouth is an effing lie.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
So basically you’re calling Seymour a liar?
I’m a man and i dont let others speak for me i speak for myself. All the negative reports and not once did you hear anything from Seymour or Davis, see they dont have to impress you or me or the media. Harrison has a new job he had to make a splash so he opened his mouth.

LMAO! Al Davis had to threatened Seymour just to get him to show up. LOL! Gotta love those Raiders. That tells you how much the Raiders are respected around the league. The only thing worse than the Raiders are the fans that support them from home, or from the parking lot. You guys love them but not enough to buy a ticket. What makes you guys think that Seymour would want to report to a loser organization coming from one of the top 3 organizations in the league. You think Randy Moss didn’t tell him what was up or Lamont Jordan. The second he found out he was traded I guarantee you he thought about all the crazy things Moss and Jordan told him about the Raiders. I actually feel sorry for Richard Seymour. He needs to just make it through this year of hell. I’m really looking forward to watching the Chargers, Raiders game. I love how all those idiots, losers, I mean Raider fans dress all up with full gear and makeup. Then at the end of a blow out loss they look so sad like they really had a chance. Chargers 31-Raiders 10, that’s my prediction. Oh yeah there will be about 5 holding calls, 6 false starts, and 2 unsportsmanlike conduct calls. On the Raiders of course. Hey at least the Raiders are decent on Madden 10, I’ll give them that.
