YES!!!!! Let’s go Raiders!!!! BSPN was reporting a load of crap all week and now they are proven wrong again.

  • jhill

Look at young Lane looking sharp …

    Tennesee over UCLA big today!

  • Mistabrown

    Walker out.

    JLH
    DHB
    Murphy

    Yikes!

  • JB

    Kirk

While I like Warren, he’s getting pushed around too easily in the middle. Bryant will be an upgrade there. Kelly & Bryant should be able to stuff any run attempts up the middle while Kelly & Seymour in the middle during passing plays should be able to collapse the middle of the pocket very quickly. It will be very interesting to see how Marshall utilizes Seymour’s unique skillset.

  • jhill

    Yeah, I know Mista …

Lets all say it together. TWO TE SETS!!!!!

  • Mistabrown

I cant wait to see how they spin how he wanted to be here for the last 5 days but waited until today.

    Jerry I’m posting too quickly?
    WTF!

  • 24

How can Walker be out? Seriously? This seriously pisses me off. Just cut him loose already if hes never going to play…this whole experiment has been a waste. How can he not be ready? He can’t beat out 2 rookies and JLH? WTF?

  • jhill

Warren is getting doubled A LOT. And why wouldn’t he playing next to Trevor Scott who was EASILY being handled by a TE. Warren is the happiest camper in the league having Seymour next to him.

    Defensive issues have been resolved.

Can we please figure out how to score in the first qtr, and put up at least 24 pts?

    TWO TE SETS !!!!

  • Meet the new scapegoat for the Raiders’ outdated defensive strategy. Raiders run defense doesn’t improve, guess who gets the blame?

  • jhill

    Yeah,

Holland would be a better option than Walker at this point.

  • JB

Fargas being out for the opener is the first step to his demise. If DMac, Bush & Rankin do well, the end for Fargas will be in sight. Too bad for him as he is a good team player and he gives it his all but he’s an accident looking to happen. Hence the nickname “crash test dummy”.

You are only valuable if you play & contribute.

  • 01rdrfan

I kept hearing from different websites that Walker was going to be the comeback player of the year from the way he was practicing. Now he won’t even be ready for the first game of the season. O well, he sucks anyways. Or maybe he wants to be 100% for week 3 against the Broncos!!!

  • 24

Thats it…trade next years 1st round for Boldin. I don’t think we have the money unfortunately.

  • 24

JB – I don’t know. Cable loves Fargas it seems.

and when has Holland done anything in his life in the NFL…a special teams tackle? oooOOOO…makes me giddy with excitement…

  • It will be Miller time come MNF with a big dose of Dmac.

  • JB

    24

I predict Cable will equally love DMac, Bush
& Rankin when it’s all said & done. That of course assume the O-Line can get their act together. We still have questions at C & RG and a known weakness at RT. I guess that means we run left with a double TE set.

  • RaiderKen

    Mista
It doesn’t matter about the spin you think they’ll put on it. Bottom line is he is here. He said he wanted to be here. Cable was right that he had talked to him a couple times (nobody believed him especially you). He will play Monday night and soon the contract will work itself out.

  • jhill

The biggest thing Seymour brings this defense is confidence. They are going to really be feeling themselve with Seymour in the lineup.

Biggest question is without question Cable’s offense.

I just have to see it to believe it.

  • 01rdrfan,

ESPN was reporting c rap? Let’s see, they reported that Seymour hadn’t yet arrived in Oakland. True.

They reported that Seymour was disgruntled by the trade. True. (Seymour admits today he was “taken by surprise”. That’s workplace slang for “this is BS!!!”)

Sorry, but ESPN’s reporting checks out. Seymour did not want to be here. That’s what was taking him so long. ESPN reported that, which was true, and some columnists speculated as to why, which is their job. Sorry. And, actually, it was the Raiders doing all of the lying. Cable said that Seymour wanted to be a Raider early in this debacle. LIE. As usual when it comes to the media and the Oakland Raiders, the media was not lying. The Raiders were.

  • 24

JB – I hope so. I really hope Barnes can get ready and play at RT. He would have to be better at run blocking than Green.

  • MaddenRaiderisadouchebag

No Maddenpuzzy, YOU are the liar…

    >>They reported that Seymour was disgruntled by the trade. True. (Seymour admits today he was “taken by surprise”. That’s workplace slang for “this is BS!!!”)>>

First of all, I was blindsided by this whole event,” Seymour, the five-time Pro Bowler, told Borges. “When you get blindsided, you should take a moment to gather your thoughts. I have a lot of PERSONAL issues more pressing than football.”

    >>Sorry, but ESPN’s reporting checks out. Seymour did not want to be here. That’s what was taking him so long. ESPN reported that, which was true, and some columnists speculated as to why, which is their job. Sorry.>>

it’s worth noting that Seymour has been in REGULAR contact with Raiders coach Tom Cable and owner Al Davis about his issues. And what are they?

Well, Seymour has four children, plus, he is the guardian of his 15-year-old cousin whose mother has passed. The 15-year-old had been in school in South Carolina until this year, at which point he was starting in North Attleboro… until the trade.

“There are a lot of different emotions,” Seymour said. “Football was not my main concern at that point. I have had discussions with the Raiders… I’m EXCITED and happy with the way they’re looking at me.”

    >>Cable said that Seymour wanted to be a Raider early in this debacle. LIE. As usual when it comes to the media and the Oakland Raiders, the media was not lying. The Raiders were.>>

Effing BS…”I didn’t demand anything to go there,” he said. “I’m HAPPY to go there, and I TOLD them that. But me and my family have never been separated. This was a difficult transition.”

What did Cable lie about you lying sack of

  • raiderkoolaid

I am sure that Seymour did tell Cable that he wanted to be a Raider, even if it wasn’t true. If he had to go there I am sure he didn’t want to poison the atmosphere even before arriving.

  • Kiffin time. UCLA – Tenn about to start. Did you guys see his pre game sideline interview? He challenged the Raiders to a game. Any time, any stadium. I’m not joking.

  • JB

    24

Almost anyone would be an improvement over Green at RT. I’m amazed someone else couldn’t have displaced him as starter. That says a whole lot about the quality of our backup tackles.

Next year’s draft: OT, C, DT, DE, OG, MLB.

  • Seymour doesn’t show up for a week, and says he was blind sided by the trade. Anybody who believes he wanted to be a Raider considering that has some serious comprehension issues. ESPN did not lie. Cable did. End of story.

  • exlaraiderseasonticketholder

Hope Seymour does for the Raider Front what Reggie White did for the Packers front.

  • Raider Dell

I hope the Raiders use some of the creativity on offense that is being commented on this blog right now.

My thought would be a two tight end, no unbalanced line, so both outside linebackers have to read who blocks or they have to back off for a pass.

The next potential offense is to have DMAC, move to the slot and go with a empty backfield, or leave Bush in the backfield when DMAC moves to the slot.

The field will be open to one side or move DMAC to the open side and let a DB cover him. With a two tight end set no extra DB’s will be in, only linebackers, advantage Zach Miller.

What does the free safety do, cover DMAC him over the top or DHB. Meyers then has a linebacker covering him, if he goes out in the pass pattern, advantage us. Finally if we run the ball successfully, Those linebackers on a play fake must hold and it creates better seperation for Miller or Meyers due to the linebackers waiting a split second.

Let’s hope we open up the playbook, our speed is only as good as the matchups we create with those defenders.

    …………………………………………….

Who cares? He’s a huge piece of the puzzle locked in place.

Q: Have you sent Richard a letter or do you plan to do so?

Cable: I don’t have any knowledge of that right now. I’ve heard something about that. But I have no knowledge of that right now.

Madden raider here is what Cable said. Where is the lie?
Q: Has the five-day letter been discussed?
Cable: No, no. It has been nothing more than just trying to get some of these details worked out, that’s it.
Q: Have you talked to Richard since Monday?
Cable: I have, but not in the last 24 hours.
Q: He still wants to be here?
    Cable: Yes.

New to the blog.Greetings to all Raider fans.ha Ha! a very bad day for the haters ;^)

I’ve admired Richard’s play for years, and I think he’ll have a profound effect on our defense. He’s one of the best in the biz,and fills our position of greatest need.

    Welcome to the nation #92!!!

  • The Raiders will not run the ball more than 16 times.

The Raiders would win this game, and probably win 9 games this year, if they ran the ball 35-40 times a game. If Cable tried to do that, however, Al would have him gone by mid season, win or lose.

  • JB

    Dell

You are right on. Add to those formations the fact that BOTH DMac & Bush, past QB’s, can throw the option pass. Or, a wildcat with DMac, Bush & Rankin – Whoa! Nobody will know what’s going to happen. The possibilities are endless and only limited by Cable’s imagination.

  • dtrain

    Will this be televised??

  • Kirk

Forget the wildcat. This is the NFL not the SEC. Just get JLH, McFadden, and Bush the ball and block.

  • 24

JB – Honestly, you make a good point. We have the QB, RB and WR taken care of in the draft. This team could realistically start focusing on the offensive and defensive lines in the upcoming drafts to build around these players. The question is where we’ll be in the draft and if Taylor Mays is in Al Davis’ sights.

  • doriangray

LETS JUST HOPE TH RAIDERS RUN A SCREEN OR TWO. CUS OF THE WEAK PASS PROTECTION. AND LET D.H.B/ RUN A CURL ROUTE 4 LAWDS SAKE …

  • 24

MR – Who cares what is or isn’t a lie at this point? We’re dysfunctional, we know that. The point is, Seymour is a Raider. Now we have to find out if hes going to play like Moss or put in the necessary effort. Al Davis is a Raider, pillaging just for fun, blah blah blah.

  • 24

Michigan is putting it to Notre Dame. Can’t I have a winning freakin team? Jezus.

  • Q: He still wants to be here?
    Cable: Yes.

    Lie.

  • RaiderRetribution

Two TE Sets! Our best rec. are TEs; in addition with our run blocking adding an additional TE will create even more holes at the point of attack.

  • Kirk

RMR, you may be right, but I am just not a fan of the wildcat for the Raiders. Maybe our coaching is not good enough for it.

  • r8dr4lfe21

I didn’t demand anything to go there,” he said. “I’m happy to go there, and I told them that. But me and my family have never been separated. This was a difficult transition.”
IN PLANE ENGLISH FROM THE MAN HIMSELF, ESPN LIARS.

  • AZ Raider

No one lied. Every player dreams of being a Raider.

  • No More Infield or Trolls

Real MR and Mistabrown. Respectfully, I think you are both full of crap. Our team is now much better than it was and if you can’t see that then you are not genuine Raider fans. None of us have been privvy to any of the inner workings of this trade and that includes BSPN and all the other mediots.
After we win on Monday it will interesting to see what negative BS you will come up with. Some people are only happy when they a miserable and I think that pretty much describes you both…

  • Kirk Says:

Forget the wildcat. This is the NFL not the SEC.

    ….

Then why are the best teams in the league using the wildcat? Including the Super Bowl champions?

  • MaddenRaiderisadouchebag

Maddenliar calls Cable a liar even though Seymour backs up EXACTLY what Cable said. This poster is suck a lying sack of …

  • RaiderKen

Ok madden raider here you go:
“There have been conversations,” he told Borges, “but I didn’t demand anything to go there. I’m happy to go there, and I told them that. But me and my family have never been separated. This was a difficult transition.”

Right there on line three and I quote “and I told them that”. So how the heck did Cable lie? It may not be his true feelings I won’t debate that but it is what he was saying all week to the Raiders. Sorry your Mangena is full of sand.
