Raider looked and played better than they have in years. They have to learn how to win the close game. When they do and they will look out. People need to be fans and not coachs. If all this doubters know how to fix the DARS than why are you not all coachs in the NFL?

GO watch the tape- MURPHY clearly made a double move and JR froze the safeties- Go watch the clip on NFL network when they show the panned out view. The tape don't lie.

Oh yeah, since I'm new I wonder why everyone thinks Russell only started one season in college? He redshirted in 2003, split time with Marcus Randall in 2004 and started all of 05 and 06. BTW, anyone that thinks the guy can't throw the sideline out has never watched him in college- he made a living off of that pass to Dewayne Bowe. Timing and route running will fix the passing game. When it clicks, teams will be shaking in their boots when we step on the field on offense.

"WHO THE F CARES ABOUT BRADY QUINN?? The stats show nothing. The Raiders do not run an NFL offense. They run a dumbed down, safe passing game full of check downs and passes to the TE. Any fool can see that. Im not calling him a bust, yet, but he is not good right now and people that say he is and point to the bogus stat line are just wishful thinkers. His footwork is garbage. He stares at WRs and relys on his arm too much. He aint a bust yet, but he sure looks headed that way. Bottom line_ A decent NFL Qb wins that game on Monday."

What? Dumbed down? Check downs are in EVERY OFFENSE bro. Peyton Manning has them, Tom Brady has them...you name it, it's called an outlet so you don't do something too risky with the ball! If he stared down receivers (which he does on occasion) he would have never made the 4th & 17 play- that was a double move by Murphy coupled with Russell looking off safety = Touchdown. He is actually better than a lot of folks give him credit for. The things he does well, commentators don't say anything about- they love to bag on the guy just like some folks here do. How does Steve Young know the playbook? 80% of a playbook he just got this summer- I'd say that's pretty darn good. Brett Favre didn't know the Jets playbook when he first got there and he admitted it- a 15 year vet, still struggled. When it comes down to it, you either have to be able to play the game or not. Russell has proven that he belongs- he overcame an injury and spotty play to come in and give his team the lead with 2:34 left- I'd say that's pretty good. I read somewhre on here that we "have to cut the field in half" because he's too dumb to see the entire field- Guess what geniuses, Pittsburgh did JUST THAT for Roethlisberger when he was a 1st and 2nd year QB- they eased him into the game. I guess he's dumb too. This guy's stats aren't pretty from Monday night but he played well enough for us to win. One "real" INT against a team that he threw 3 picks against last season and two TDs (yes, I know they overturned it) is darn good. He will play better this weekend.

I SEE ZERO REASON TO SUGGEST MITCHELL IS HEADED ANYWHERE NEAR AN AL DAIVS SCHOLARSHIP.

Al hand picked this guy and even traded with NE (Ron Brace) to get him. Remember AL thought Chicago was going to take him?

You still dont see a slight possibility?

AlisGod sees it.

I know you have a big ego but just admit you have no control over who Al puts on Scholarship and who he doesn't.

"If Mitchell can excel and execute" Then he wont have to be on Scholarship if this happens, will he?

Man you are a simpleton trying desperately to act intelligent.

MR

I thought Russell had an outstanding couple of TD passes and put us in position to win the game.

He also left some points on the field, and I think that's what most here are concerned about here.

I don't think anyone likes the prevent. There's nothing wrong with zone or zone blitz, but the LBs just let Sproles take whatever he wanted.

You look at the play that set up the Sproles TD, is it scheme or a LB slipping, or both?

Who knows what happens if the LB doesn't slip and they hold him to 7 yards. Who knows what happens if they go with a 4 man rush, man-to-man and Sproles burns a LB.

It was a close game. We played it real tight and I just wish we either had a) 4 more points or b) connected on a few more passes or had a few great running plays to put us in position to score more points.

The loss can't be blamed squarely on the offense, defense, special teams, or the coaches. It takes an entire team to win or lose.
