`1-2-3, Get Better!’
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at 1:15 pm in Oakland Raiders.
Let’s dispense for the moment with Commitment to Excellence, Pride and Poise and Team of the Decades.
As the Raiders broke their special teams huddle, their enthusiastic group chant was, “1-2-3, get better!”
More realistic, to be sure.
Wide receiver Chaz Schilens was on the field for his second straight day of practice, apparently showing no ill effects from practicing Wednesday.
Left guard Robert Gallery, however, was not on the field, a pretty clear indication he won’t be playing this week as the team game plans for the myriad blitzes of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fullback Luke Lawton was also absent, leaving fullback duties to Gary Russell with tight end Brandon Myers also available.
More to come following practice after Tom Cable’s press briefing . . .

This situation reminds me of driving behind an 80 year old going 20 miles an hour. So little time left and so willing to take forever to get there.
1-2-3 Al fire yourself.

1-2-3 get your ass whipped!
October 15th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
Al is too stubborn to stop this madness,Cable too much of a puppet to control the team and Russell dont give a damn and isnt a leader.

Gents
I
have come up with some kewl
ideas to keep the rader
games from being blacked out. At half time put RICHOCHET
and Brian the General
in the octagon ring and let them go at one another
Or have JRuss
compete with the professionals in a pie eating contest during half time

Wow, what an all pro season our long snapper is having! Jon Condo for the Pro Bowl!
October 15th, 2009 at 1:29 pm
What if Russel was 50 lbs lighter would that make fans think he was more of a committed football player and leader?
Chris Carter (an @$$ by the way) says he is just point blank out of shape.

Boycott the Raiders, even if you love this team you would be a FOOL to spend your hard earned money during times like this on an inferior product even if you grew up loving the cover of the box it was shipped in.
I would not by season tickets next season and if I did not already have them I would not spend one red cent on Al Davis’s retirement fund.
This team no longer cares about winning and they really don’t care about the fans. Boycott the Raiders for future generations of Raider fans. Let them know these cheap tricks of bringing Ice Cube to do a documentary to presenting the legends and throw back jersey because the team of late sucks is not going to work. Don’t get me wrong the legends were great but it is a slap in the face to keep your fans believing in the old commitment to excellence that we use to have if all you are committed to as an owner is your ego.
This is terrible football, boycott the team!
The way this team is playing a black out is not that bad. I have not watched this sory @$$ team since they played Denver and it has been like therapy!

Bichochet the 49ers are never filled and the stadium crowd is weak. The seats are empty and the stadium is somehow uglier than ours. Great for such a rich franchise to have that nonsense. Hey Santa Clara 49ers………wooooooooooooooooooooooo

Getting people to boycott a game is a pipe dream. No matter how bad the product is, those of us that have paid good money for tickets are going to use them. I think a more realistic idea is to boycott the 1st quarter. Show up like normal, enjoy your tailgate party and wait until the end of the first quarter to enter the stadium. Just consider it an “extended tailgate party”. I think the site of an empty stadium for just the 1st quarter, while people continue to party in the parking lot would be awesome. This will get the attention of the media, the network, the league, and maybe even the senile owner of our favorite team. 1-2-3 tailgate.

Attention all Raider fans.
Something needs to be done. Al Davis needs to feel what the fans are going through. the only way to do this is through his pocket book. Investors are already complaining. I’m going to send a letter and petition to Al Davis while copying in a few members of the Media. I’m hoping to get out what will be a request for a boycott. I’m a season ticket hold, life long Raider fan and My son’s middle name is Raider. I will always remain a Raider fan but this fiasco call the Raiders is more about Al Davis’s ego and commitment to proving himself right. I believe he needs to return a “commitment to excellence.” If anyone is interested in joining my petition please email me at salves@uniworld.com. More details to follow.

I love “Elway’s Teeth’s” idea about boycotting the first quarter. Only problem is we won’t have another sell out this year and it will be blacked out anyway. It will make some news though and is worth it. I’m not renewing my season tickets and I’m selling mine off this year. I’m not paying for parking, or buying as little as a hot dog. I will not waste another dime. More people need to do this as this is our only voice. It is not a pipedream… A pipedream is to continue to support an organization this bad and expect results to change. Al Davis said himself “organizations win superbowls.” What is our organization doing now? WE need to get organized and boycott anything Raider to express our voice and make it happen.
