One of the best parts of yesterday was watching the Eagles fans walking back to their cars with their tails between their legs.

I think they all thought they were comin’ out to the Coliseum for a great time out yesterday.

I don’t know? I mean, I have been my usual bright and optimistic self today! You know, still hoping Cable gets fired and Al is institutionalized! And I didn’t even marginalize the victory too much!

I’m glad we drafted D-Mac. I think a lot of people are.

That’s not the point.

The point is that 80 yard runs do NOT define a successful running game. Yeah, the instant scoring ability is fantastic to have on your team, but, your bread & butter HAS to be those boring 3, 4, 5 yard runs. Good teams pound the ball throughout a football game to set up a successful passing game.

I just do not believe that D-Mac brings that consistant between-the-tackles running, down after down.

I love him on our team. But, I maintain that the majority of the pounding has to be comin’ from Fargas or Bush.
