Cable-Hanson decision coming today

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at 10:41 am in Oakland Raiders.

Napa County District Attorney Gary Lieberstein said on his media hotline today his office will issue a press release announcing their filing decision with regard to the case involving Raiders coach Tom Cable between 2 and 3 p.m.

Media members were asked to send an e-mail address to receive the release. There was no indication whether or not Cable would be charged in the alleged attack on assistant coach Randy Hanson.

RaiderDogg, no ceremony for my coronation. I’m a real leader. No time for celebration for the GURU has much work to do”

I knew a change was coming, it just crept up on me. Congrats on the elevation proclamation. With great power comes great responsibility.

You’re right about Edwards, although that Monday night game was more of an aberration than the norm for Edwards. I would like to see Nnamdi shadow him just because he is their #1 guy, but I don’t see that happening. The Jets will put Edwards in motion a lot to create mismatches, knowing that the Raiders very rarely shadow anyone. Maybe after last week, Marshall will have more autonomy and will prove me wrong. I would love to see it.

No congrats to you for I have convened my council and it has come with great honor that you have been appointed to being a high ranking member this kingdom.

I agree that I doubt Aso follows him around. I’m very fearful of seeing Edwards go in motion and end up being guarded by Morrison. Marshall needs to show some more balls this week. We want a win

Yes the GURU thinks its a great idea for the Raiders owe the Chargers big time and MNF in september was complete luck. Hopefully the guys have learned from it. One named Thomas Howard told me himself at Bayfair Chili’s that they are gonna smash them next time.

As far as Carne asada or fish tacos, I think you outta ask MR since he has never had a fish taco in his life

Look you financial embarrassment has caused a big rift at home between you and wifey but no need to take it out on others. I think you two outta go to Catalina or maybe Mexico and work things out. You know the kids can feel the tension in the house. It must suck when they wake up to go to school in the morning and they see Daddy’s face dug into the keyboard with a nice big bottle of Ripple tipped over.

Na. On something like this even if he was charged, he would probably be released on his own recognizance, and the Commish would not act because Cable has to receive due process. Long and short, if this was such an open and shut case, charges would have been filed weeks ago. Hanson and his camp are whiny biotches that are whining to the Napa County DA to do something. The napa Police asked everyone in the room what happened, and the answer was, “something happened??? None of us saw it.” Case closed.

Am I close on the number? Don’t recall the exact amount, but you posting that screamed “I’M INSECURE, AND THIS IS WHAT INSECURE PEOPLE POST”.

Well? or are you going to deny that as well? Please do..be fun reposting that as well.

If Cable’s charged, he’ll be arrested, most likely taken to jail, though he could be bailed out.

I don’t think Goodell would suspend him until he cops a plea or is convicted. He waited until conviction before suspending Stallworth.

If Cable is bailed out, he’ll be asked to make an appearance at an arraignment (sp?), at which time he can enter a plea.

If he pleads guilty, he’ll be brought back for sentencing a few weeks later.

If he pleads innocent, he’ll be given a date to appear for a trial, probably months down the line, although Napa is much more quiet place, so the process may happen more quickly.

In LA, you’re in and out of jail as quickly as possible, and you’re appearances pushed back a ways. Napa probably different, but regardless, this wouldn’t be resolved until next year, IMO.

IMO, I don’t think that he will.

I’ve been in this situation a number of times. When it comes down to he said-she said, typically cops have their hands tied if witnesses cooberate (sp?) Cable’s side of the story.

I don’t know how they get down in Napa, but if I broke someone’s jaw, I’d be going to jail here, and have gone for less.

I would agree. I really don’t get the song and dance bit by Napa.

They will probably announce there is not enough evidence to charge Cable.

The only other thing I can think of is that they’re trying to make a show out of it.

I didnt like Venice Beach. I use to hoop up there and guys call b*tch ass fouls. Also I didnt dig the element that comes from other parts of LA trying to stamp it as gang territory.

    snooty?

That must be because I called your town Oakhole.

And I never liked ballin at Venice either. Too much arguing and activator flyin.

  122. The Real MaddenRaider Says:

It’s sad how much of a comeback gangs made this past decade. I thought it was coming to an end in the ’90s. The murder rates were lower in most cities and it just didn’t seem like gang banging was the thing anymore.

Yeah LA was like that man. You have to pay top dollar and I just wasnt from the type of place. Up here we refuse to pay top dollar. For instance you think anyone up here would pay 50 for an 8th? 150 for a 8-ball? 20 for one pill? Never here. That will get a niggro jacked or even worse

Gov. approves LA-area football stadium waiver
By JACOB ADELMAN (AP) – 1 hour ago

INDUSTRY, Calif. — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Thursday he had signed a bill allowing the construction of a 75,000-seat stadium that developers hope will lure an NFL team back to the Los Angeles area.

Schwarzenegger said he signed the environmental exemption bill last week but saved the announcement for a press conference in Industry, where the stadium would be built about 15 miles east of Los Angeles.

The bill would nullify a lawsuit filed by residents in nearby Walnut over the project’s environmental impact.

Schwarzenegger called the lawsuit frivolous as he addressed a crowd of union members wearing hardhats. Across the street, a dozen protesters held signs saying “No Stadium.”

“This is the best kind of action state government can create — action that cuts red tape, generates jobs, is environmentally friendly and brings a continued economic boost to California,” Schwarzenegger said.

Majestic Realty Co. is heading the stadium project after helping develop Staples Center, the downtown Los Angeles home of the NBA’s Lakers and Clippers and the NHL’s Kings.

Majestic has targeted seven teams as candidates to move to the Los Angeles area: the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams, San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers.

The firm has said the teams are in stadiums that are either too small or can’t be updated with luxury box seats or other revenue sources an NFL club needs to thrive.

Schwarzenegger said the stadium would generate more than 18,000 jobs.

Majestic guaranteed parking lot attendants and concession stand workers would be paid middle-class wages, said Maria Elena Durazo, head of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor.

“This is true economic development,” Durazo said. “It’s going to benefit everyone in our community.”

    LOL, right?

It depends on where you go in LA and who you know.

I would get the greenery ridiculously cheap, so I never had problems getting it or getting rid of it. Competition was stiff, so I couldn’t get away with anything not reasonably priced anyhow.

The soft and the illies weren’t my thing. I let my boy handle that, and he did it very well.

From what he tells me, people are all about xanax and colonipins and oxy and all that BS these days.

Just couldn’t mess with it, either business or pleasure. I was just too old school. Like I said earlier, a bleez, a shot, a swig of some good beer. Repeat. And hung out with a lot of similar type cats.

Ok MR tell me why I enjoy it? How am I fascinated by it? Explain it.

And you idiot what calmed it down was the fact that many of those knuckleheads were killed or put in jail. A new crop was being raised and then many OGs were let out of jail and that caused some issues as well.

And notice what Norco Brien just did…said that the reason gang violence dropped was because they were all in jail, basically making the point that we need more law enforcement. Anyone catch that? It was Brien transferring to Norco Bob, the racist conservative. Bet you Norco pops up within seconds.
