Wide receiver Chaz Schilens remained a spectator during warmups and drills Thursday, watching as a bystander as the other wideouts went through the paces.
Robert Gallery was suited up for the second straight day, although it remains to be seen if he’s a realistic option to play Sunday.
Back from the stomach issue which has affected a few players was linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba, but backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski missed his second day of practice. It leaves open the possiibility that Charlie Frye could be the backup for JaMarcus Russell Sunday in San Diego.
Hiram Eugene was sharing kickoff return duties with Jonathan Holland.
During the open locker room session receiver/return specialist Nick Miller expressed optimism he could return after the bye. Miller also said he hasn’t come close to anything approximating a full-on sprint, making his availability in two weeks suspect.
