McFadden on field
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 at 11:21 am in Oakland Raiders.
Running back Darren McFadden and wide receiver Chaz Schilens went through warmups and drills as the Raiders began a brief bye week practice Wednesday, with both likely to have limited participation in team sessions.
Right tackle Cornell Green, meanwhile, was working on a separate field with a member of the athletic training staff. Those who were with the team but did not appear to be practicing were cornerback Chris Johnson (groin), defensive tackle Gerard Warren (foot) and tight end Tony Stewart (chest).
Linebacker Jon Alston, listed with concussions twice since Oct. 11, was suited up and working with special teams.
Defensive end Greg Ellis, scheduled for arthroscopic knee surgery this week, was not present, nor was wide reciever/return specialist Nick Miller. Also not present was punter Shane Lechler.
There was a new No. 10 on the field, a smallish wide receiver who could be an addition to the practice squad. Absent was guard Brandon Rodd, who is believed to have been released from the practice squad.
The head coach was Tom Cable.
More to come following practice . . .

he does fall down a lot doesn’t he. lmfao. i think the hash marks are helping to tackle dmac. every time he tries to cut, he falls. why is that? ive never seen that constantly happen to a rb. once in a while a visiting rb will trip and then figure out the field in oak is below sea level and thus a little slick. maybe nobody told mcfalldown about that. maybe some bigger spikes dmac

McFade must remain healthy long enough to put the ball on the ground. He’ll be worrying so much about his knee that the ball will no doubt come out in a hurried manner.

yeah m lonetree screw the kobes. if any one of the raiders had half the nugget pouch as kobe does we might actually win 6 games instead of 2 4 or 5. must be a queens fan. the lakers are the most consistan franchise in all of pro sports. playoff 56 out of 60 yrs or something really close to that. so f off with your screw the kobes nonsense. had mike jordan not existed, could you imagine how everyone would view kobe?

Jared from Oregon wonders if the Raiders would be better off with Michael Crabtree than Darrius Heyward-Bey:
Bill Williamson: I think you have to say yes on this one. Crabtree has been fantastic in two games and Heyward-Bey had struggled in eight games. Heyward-Bey has made no impact in Oakland, while Crabtree has already made an impact in San Francisco. Crabtree looks like a special player and he’d be Oakland’s best offensive player if he was wearing the Silver and Black.

As far as you feeling so “behind” on current info?
If it means that much to you, go to google, type in “lemming”..at the bottom of the page you’ll see an option to have you emailed an alert everytime something is posted regarding “lemming”…heck you can even do it for “Al Davis Dumbass Moves”..and hark..everytime Al does something stupid, you’ll be notified.
In other words, you’ll have lots of emails to go through.
BTW..Earl took that exact advice. He gets alerts anytime “BINGO”, “Senior Citizen”, “obstinate old man” or “Sale on Depends” is posted.
Ask him..he’ll tell you.

^^^^^^^The Niners make an effort to throw him the ball….the Raiders don’t make in REAL effort to get the ball to DHB.
I’m still waiting for Cable or Tollner to call a WR bubble screens with two blockers in front of DHB so he can explode for a big gain. Still waiting to see proper reverse executed with DHB….still waiting on some plays called with him running some double moves…..still waiting on plays to be called with him running hitch patterns or 15 curl and comeback routes.
I’m still waiting for Al Davis to “retire” from making football decisions and for a REAL HC to be hired like Gruden, Cowher or Holmgren or Fisher!

“(Free agent — 45 percent) Far be it from me to promote anyone in a Raiders uniform, but if you’re desperate for a running back, adding Fargas is worth considering. He’s rushed for a combined 209 yards and a touchdown in his last three games, and a matchup against the Chiefs and their weak run defense awaits after a bye in Week 10. Again, if you’re in dire straits at the position, Fargas has some value.”
