Notes

Bush runs for 4-yard gain on last play of first quarter.

– Poor Raiders possession, two bad throws by Russell, leads to Lechler punt. Savage fumbles ball back to Raiders, Jon Condo recovers.

Raider forced to settle for field goal as passing offense sputters. Janikowski makes it 13 straight this season and 20 in a row dating back to last year. A 5-yard drive in four plays. Cornell Green calls offense together following disappointing drive.

– Dantrell Savage drops third down swing pass for Chiefs, Succop converts 50-yard field goal. Chris Chambers 29-yard catch over Chris Johnson big play in scoring drive.

– Poor third possession _ poorly-timed Russell to McFadden incompletion, Bush loses a yard, Fargas drops third down pass then throws ball in anger, getting delay of game penalty. Lechler punts 56 yards, Dantrell Savage returns it 19 yards to the 32.

– Chiefs can’t get first down after being pinned at the 8 by Lechler, with Seymour batting down third down pass. Colquitt punts 46 yards to Higgins. Jon Alston penalized for illegal block in back. They start at the 37 and have outgained Chiefs 91 to minus-1.

– Second possession. Raiders run Wildcat for first time this season, McFadden gains 3 yards, Higgins gets 2 on reverse. Then Russell throws completion short to Higgins, doesn’t get first down. Shane Lechler punts Chiefs to their own 8 _ 37-yard punt.

– Chiefs first possession ends with Chris Johnson leaping interception on Cassell pass to Chris Chambers. Johnson steals it on a leap _ great play.

– Raiders drive 70 yards in four plays, big play 60-yard run on stretch play by Michael Bush. Russell hits Schilens for 6-yard gain on first play from scrimmage. Schilens and Darrius Heyward-Bey start. First opening drive for TD since last season against Houston. That’s nine games ago.

The Raiders are the only team I have ever seen who just simply REFUSES to get off the field on 3rd down.
    ====================================

I would like to introduce you to the Raider offense.

  13. RaidingTexas Says:

This game is turning out to be everything it was expected to be: Cassell looking at the sky, Russell trying to kill ants from 15 yards away, Lechler and Colquitt trying to earn player-of-the-game honors.

  14. 408RAIDER Says:

    make that pick!

  15. neilb Says:

What else can you expect from the toulet bowl game. Rotten bottom feeders.

  23. jhill Says:

4th and 1, and we give up a long TD run where the guy is completely untouched, lol. On a frickin sweep were I swear it looked like he was going to be dropped for a 3 or 4 yd loss.

Morrison ran right by the guy, lol!

Like I said, we need a LB and a Nickle corner in the worst way. This defense gives up WAY too many big plays.

  25. utahraiderfan Says:

I have it on ATDHE.Net I lose it then X out of it and go back and start over. It sucks but I have lost it then got it back 3 times now

  27. Mike Davis 36 Says:

    Nice job, DHB.

  28. Raiders4eve Says:

DHB benched maybe lol Murphy big play

  29. Raiders4eve Says:

    My bad penalty wow

  30. utahraiderfan Says:

DHb drops TD pass on 3 yard line !!what a bust

  31. Raider O Says:

Let’s blame JR for that DHB drop, or let’s blame him for this FS! Or the Sack!

  32. utahraiderfan Says:

Just saw this on TV. In the last 5 yrs Raiders leading the league in draft busts

  33. Raider75 Says:

    DHB is horrible.

Pass hit him right in the numbers and went right through his arms.

  34. jhill Says:

Another drop by the rookie WR. And a big completion brought back by a tripping penalty on Gallery.

To be honest, I’m not even really upset. It’s the exact same thing we’ve become used to.

  35. utahraiderfan Says:

Imagine if Raiders had a passing game !!

  36. TrueRaider Says:

I will be the first to say it.
    DHB IS A BUST.

    AGAIN FOR EVERYONE

    DHB IS A BUST. PERIOD

  37. El Tato Says:

WR’s need to catch the ball, JaMarcus is doing his job today

  38. Raider75 Says:

    Raiders are about to fold.

  39. TrueRaider Says:

Who is number 54? Alston I am guessing,
This is guy needs to play in special teams only.

  40. El Tato Says:

DHB needs to catch that ball, it was almost a TD

  41. 504 Raider Says:

Hey that’s the guy (Chambers) who couldn’t make our lineup.

  42. RaidingTexas Says:

You were not the first one to say it. Go back to the week 2 game. I said it then.

  43. TrueRaider Says:

    CJ burned again. wow

  44. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    TrueRaider,

I am sorry…I need to get my 2 cents in here too.

    DHB IS A BBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTT

  45. El Tato Says:

    BAD BAD BAD

  46. RaidingTexas Says:

Remember, he wasn’t brought here to catch the ball. He’s here to draw the coverage away from the other receivers. LMFAO!

  47. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

In Madden 10….I just assign Asomugha to the other team’s best receiver.

First? lol. Most were saying that when the 7th overall pick was not Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech.

  49. TrueRaider Says:

    We need a new Owner

  50. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    Kirk Morrison covering Chris Chambers….LOL

    —————————————————–

Well then, I will be the last to say it DHB IS A BUST.

  53. jhill Says:

It’s not even about CJ and Nnamdi … Who is the 3rd corner?

And why are there so many LBs on the field?

Remember we talked about being able to match up with 3 and 4 WRs, SnB?

Well, it’s not happening. We are keeping the LBs on the field and playing a cover 2.

    It’s not working!

  54. Raider O Says:

Let’s blame JR for the 50 yard run on 4th & short.

Let’s blame JR for Cable 2 HB screens to Russell & Fargas!

Fire the Fat Monkey aka Cable!

  55. Raider75 Says:

DHB couldn’t catch a cold if he were running naked at the North Pole.

  56. GForce21 Says:

Remember, speed kills, even if two of the best to ever play wr, Jerry Rice and Cris Carter ran garbage stopwatch times.

DHB makes we wish for AD scholarship James Jett who actually caught the ball on occasion.

    —————————————————-

    Reminds of BBBBBIIIILLLLUUUUPPPPSSSS

  58. jhill Says:

Actually, we are NOT playing Al’s defense.

We are CLEARLY playing a zone defense with the Corners releasing the WRs to Safeties and LBs.

Not quite sure why we are not playing man to man on these guys. They are runnning uncovered most of the time.

  59. Dmac20 Says:

I feel sorry for tom cable because Im just a fan and watching this team makes my head want to explode, so i can imagine how pissed tom cable is right now. smh al davis is an idiot.

  60. Raider75 Says:

LOL… Russell has 31 yards passing against the worst pass defense in the nfl

  61. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    JHill,

Same stuff the Raiders played against Denver when Marshall was lining up opposite Morrison.

A very rigid philosophy the Raiders run

  62. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    Holland looks soooooooo sllllooooooowwwww

  63. xfactor247 Says:

f’n dhb if he woulda caught the ball JR would have a little confidence

  64. TrueRaider Says:

WHO SAW THAT THROW? WRS IS OPEN AND JABUST OVERTHREW HIM WOW

  65. RaidingTexas Says:

Hey, is that one guy still here who thinks Jamarcus just needs better players around him?

  66. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

Just give the ball to one running back please. Whether its Fargas or Bush

  67. 504 Raider Says:

DHB is made of Rubber and Vaccines. He will not catch ANYTHING.

  68. xfactor247 Says:

    so true 504, sad…but true.

  69. El Tato Says:

    1. Run the ball
    2. Bench DHB, play Holland if needed.
    3. Just pass to Schilens and Miller

  70. PrideNPoise Says:

What was that? 0 for 7 on 3rd down conversions… Wow… Jamarcbus is either throwing it right in the numbers and they drop it or it sails over their heads… I thought playing at home was supposed to be an advantage…?

  71. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

In Madden 10, I just put Asomugha on the opponent’s best receiver

  72. RaidingTexas Says:

Yeah, bench Jamarcus and DHB. You’ll never see more money sitting on a bench in your lifetime.

  73. 504 Raider Says:

At least we know Tom Cable truly cares for the Raiders. He’s on the way out and before he hits the door he will leave Al with a top #5 pick.

  74. raider831 Says:

We should run every single play for the rest of the game…

  75. PrideNPoise Says:

Come back and run the same play they hit Murphy with…

  76. TrueRaider Says:

    WHEN WILL MCFUMBLE FUMBLE?

  77. raider831 Says:

That won’t even be the worst thing. With the cupboard that Al leaves his coaches, it will be the following year when New England picks first overall that will piss me off.

  79. PrideNPoise Says:

Way to go Mario… Like we can afford that kind of crap…?

  80. GForce21 Says:

Is he? Why doesnt he mirror the best WRs week in week out? He stays in the right matched up with the second wrs.

  84. El Tato Says:

    nice hit Aso!!

  85. GForce21 Says:

That is the coaching staffs fault, not his.

  86. El Tato Says:

Asomugha should be with Bowe all the time

I hope Cable erupts at half time. It really has to be up to Cable to torch these guys. They need some heat cranked up under asses.

  91. xfactor247 Says:

jesus, we cant catch a thing, wr’s suck!!!

  92. raidermarty Says:

  93. PrideNPoise Says:

ATDHE.net works I lose it but X out and start over and get it back.

  98. El Tato Says:

TV is saying we had 7 drops the first half, nice

  99. islandraider Says:

That time out right there, lack of playbook understanding, lack of quick decision making, a whole lot of frustration.

  100. islandraider Says:

Now the dysfunction is starting to get to Jano.
