There is plenty of blame to go around for the past seven seasons.

Bad luck: Gannon injury, Bad calls by the refs

    Poor Coaching: Shell and Cable

Poor ownership: Horrible FA signings, inability to hire a decent coach, poor draft picks

Poor play: Underperformers too numerous to list

Bad publicity: The Kiffin, Cable, Moss, Sapp debacles

Al is the chef of this schit salad, so he is ultimately to blame and I can’t wait for him to be out of the picture, but that isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

So, you have to just hope they fix what they can…starting with the coach.

If Al can somehow hire a legit coaching staff (long shot I know) then maybe some of the players will start playing up to their potential and maybe some of the grime will be washed away from the franchise so that in the future, Oakland will become a place where players want to come again, not a place where players go to watch the death of their careers.

A lot of maybes, but that is about as positive I can be right now.

Al, first thing first…Cable should be fired within 10 seconds of the end of the season. And you can’t “for cause” his azz otherwise you hurt your ability to hire a decent coaching staff to replace Cable and the clowns.

Hire a coach and empower him to run his team. The players will never respect a coach that they know has to suck your balls every time he wants to make a change to the lineup.

Q: Would we even be having this conversation if your guys hadn’t dropped 8 passes?

Cable: Well, it was four with him and four with Bruce.

    ********************************

When the coach calls one guy his first name and the other guy “him”, that’s not a good sign for “him”.

You have such a way with words. I needed a good laugh this morning, thanks…

  6. DMAC Says:

Can we find anyone who isn’t scared to return punts and kickoffs? I’m tired of waiting for this Miller kid!

  7. M Lonetree Says:

If Cable feels the need to smack somebody after he’s fired he should try a whack at Mangidiot in Cleveland. Now there’s a guy that deserves a good wallop upside the head.

  8. jhill Says:

I can’t believe Cable and his 4 drops for him and 4 drops for Bruce line.

Jerry Mc was up to 6 drops by halftime, and I think we can at least say was objective?

4 drops for Bruce? I didn’t see that many, but it FURTHER proves the point that the WR coach needs to be replaced.

  9. M Lonetree Says:

As Silver NSmac I believe it was commented about Cliff Branch the early years, the idea of getting rid of DHB is nuts. DHB might not be the second coming of Reggie Wayne, but neither did Cliff have the markings of an HOF career when he dropped nearly everything upon his arrival.

  10. jhill Says:

I think JaDarrenBey should be 2nd string, not cut. Let them earn something instead of it being handed to them like it was for all 3 of them. Start Frye, Bush, and Schillens.

    Richochet,

You and I know the obvious about Al Davis. But I have to imagine if you were coaching the team, things would be different. I just don’t know how to day it any other way. Might I get fired? For winning? Or at least losing the right way? I think I’d take my chances with getting fired my way than Al’s. Which is why I use Kiffin and Gruden as examples.

Moreso than I think Al is a puppet, I think Cable is doing what he THINKS (and he’s probably right) Al wants to see. Why not start JLH and Chaz, and use DHB A LOT in the slot and on reverses? Those things would still make Al look good with DHB getting better opportunites against LBs, Ss, or Nickle corners. To just line the guy up and run him down the field is DUMB! Al talked up JLH and Schillens so I can’t see him being mad at them still succeding.

You’re probably right though. But I stand by the fact that Cable is clueless and has ZERO bahlls!
    =================
Agree 100% on Cable. The man is a mouse in a teddy bears clothing. And not a very astute mouse, at that.

Pretty telling is the reported comments from players about how “decision will be made by Cable and whoever up there”.

IF Al isn’t making most major decisions (who starts/sits, defensive schemes, games plans) then Cable is even dumber than a log.
So many ‘WTF WAS THAT” decisions, that it just screams Al, however, you’re right..why not utilize Schillens? Where the hell is Javon? Who’s deciding on how much Bey is used?

From Bey still being in, to Javon all but disappeared, to deep passes out of the endzone, to abandoning the running game, it’s almost inconceivable that even the most basic football mind can’t recognize these are not logical decisions.
Whats sad is Cable just might be doing what you mentioned, trying to appease the old man.

One telling sign, however, is Cable’s replies re: JR benching.
From stating “JR is starting next week” immediately after first benching (don’t you need time to decide that?) to “We’ll know by Wed. ” followed by the dumbest reply ever..”I’ll decide that with me and the qb’s”.

    Joe Bugel all over again..

  13. Richochet Says:

Cable needs to pass on the play calling so he can actually concentrate on the game at hand.

It’s tough enough as it is. Why would he even consider trying to make decisions on what play would work best right then, while figuring out what player is struggling, and should be sat? How do you do your job as a HC motivating players coming off the field, or kicking someone in the ass who might need it when all you can do is try and figure out what the next called play is?

There is a reason that MOST offensive coordinators, who are calling the plays, aren’t even on the field, and are up in the box.

Cable is trying to do two jobs, and failing miserably at both.

  14. islandraider Says:

If you spent a over a 100 mil on a new toy, would you just want to stare at it? Hell no, you want to play with it. See how it works.

“I’ll decide that with me and may qb’s”
Yeah right. What about your asst.’s or qb coach?
What he meant ot say if you read between the lines is:
If Al wants Ja playing, Ja will play.

Al dictates. Al is omnipotent. Al is all. The rest are puppets. I hope benching Ja was Cables move. But he shouldn’t have stopped there.

    Dysfunction at its finest.

    ================================
Martz already came in for an interview as HC.
Before he arrived at the airport, to go home, his agent had called the Raiders and informed them to not even draw up an offer, that Martz was definitely not interested.

Can’t imagine he would be interested in any position, under Al.

I’m wondering if the team or players employ a sports psycologist?
It clearly look like DHB and Murphy are having issues with “accepting the ball into their lives.”
Fear of success, that sort of thing.
Olympic athletes and other sports swear by using psycologists. The Raiders and their players should definately get aboard that train.
    “Become one with the ball.”

DHB is a project at best!

DMC had 1 great game, and he has been MIA since then.

JR is a project too due to Cable!

We drafted 3 players on Offense, QB, RB, and WR; when are we going to draft an OT to help block for these guys. Mario, Gallery, and even Satele are good, but Cooper & Green need to go.

  42. Dakota Says:

    That player would be…
    Peyton Manning.

  48. Raider O Says:

    Dakota,

Do you think Al will keep Cable for next season?

  49. VanHeathen Says:

you mean this ISN’T hell already?

  50. CaptainBlack Says:

Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs was really the last straw for me. As I have written before, we do not have enough quality players to compete in the league. Al’s had many number one draft choices the past seven years, but his selections usually suck. And if the team’s play was not bad enough, Al demands DHB start. Al can’t admit failure although we see it every Sunday. You can’t hide the results of bad drafts. Al is not a football genius. However, Al once surrounded himself with geniuses and it worked. But Al became a bully, drunk with success and arrogance and pissed it all away. He pushed head coaches John Madden and Gruden out. He pushed away quality position coaches. He abandoned Oakland for Los Angeles. He abandoned the Raider fans. Now he is paying the price. His reputation has been seriously damaged by what he has done to others the past 30 years. Al, you now reap what you sow.

  51. Raider O Says:

I like Manning, but he is not my fav QB. I like Big Ben. I wanted us to draft him, so I was happy when we drafted JR. I still think JR has more physical talent than Ben. Ben has more talent around him, Great D, and better coaching.

  52. NorthernD Says:

Davis may sell some of his shares to Woods.
When he signed Kelly and the others to huge contracts a couple of years back, he had to sell off some of his stock to get the cash.
Perhaps if the NFL goes to “No cap”, then Davis will have to team up with Woods to get some more cash.
I don’t think he would sell enough to lose his controlling interest though.

  53. NorthernD Says:

Hey Dakota, don’t rip on a kwality compitishun like a speling Bee.

  54. VanHeathen Says:

i wish he’d bring int he Steve Young/Brent Jones group. Give them a share of the team, let them put in an actual management team…you know, treat it like a 21st century NFL franchise.

    Dakota,

Do you think Al will keep Cable for next season?
    ______________________

Raider O, I was convinced at the end of last year that Al was smart enough to see through the end of year fluke of Tom Cable winning a game in TB only because #1) he was forced to play a guy that should have been playing a long time ago in M. Bush due to Fargas being injured and #2) because Williams went down with an injury before he could continue whipping our asses.

So I guess my point is…Al is bat-schit crazy and cheap as Scrooge when it comes to coaches, so I will not be surprised if Al keeps Cable and just collects his TV contract money for another season or two.

Any owner in his right mind would not have hired Cable in the first place, let alone hold onto Cable after all the despicable, franchise setting losses.

But no one said Al was in his right mind anymore.

  56. Raider O Says:

I don’t think Ben works harder than JR, he is not in better shape, but he has talent around him.
DMC & DHB, Cable, and the Oline are not the Talent we need to develop a young QB.

  57. Dakota Says:

    In English this time:

Tiger Woods can’t putt a little fukin golf ball when someone snaps a picture. Tiger Woods would schit his pants and piss himself silly if he had 5 men running at him and a crowd of 75K fans screaming.

Golf is a silly little douche bag game that shouldn’t even be shown on ESPN. (along with volleyball, bowling, the spelling bee, auto racing, and all women’s collegiate and “professional” sports)

  58. VanHeathen Says:

Is’Hard Work’ going to make it easier for Jamarcus t see the whole field when he drops back? If so, then he’s salvagable, but as it is, once he looks to a side, all the db’s start heading that way, abandoning their responsibilities, it happened numerous times on Sunday.

  59. Raider O Says:

I almost feel sorry for Brady Quinn. That low cut block of his put a Raven out for a few weeks and Ray Lewis is bent.
Poor Brady is a marked man twice a year unless Ray decides to shank him instead.

  63. Dakota Says:

Ben Roethlisbergervillestein has something you can’t teach…a feel for the game. He senses pressure, holds his ground for that extra split second and then finds the guy in the clutch. He throws some ints, but we can’t all be perfect. Russell looks panicked in the pocket even when no one is near him. The only thing Russell does better than Ben is dominate buffets…and that is saying something looking at Ben.

    ————————————-
Yes, hard work and getting in football shape would make it easier to see the whole field as it would buy him extra seconds to see what is developing in front of him. But he has no desire to put the time or effort in to be an NFL QB. Lucky for him that the coming Rookie Pay Scale was not in place when he was drafted. Otherwise, 1 zero would be coming off his contract.

  65. NorthernD Says:

Tiger represents huge money. And Success.
But I doubt that he has the time to focus on anything other than golf right now. If and when golf is no longer the primary goal in his life, then maybe he’ll look for other distractions.
Whether you think golf is a legit sport or not, Tiger has dominated it, and getting a personality like that into the managment could only help.
Right now, the Raiders consist of Al at the top, and then a huge empty space.
Even Al would respect the dominance and power of Woods, and possibly be open to his opinion.

Yes hes getting old and needs to take a step back but i still admire and respect the guy for building the raider organization in the first place.

JHill – Fargas 1, Bush 1, DMC 1, Russell 1, Lawton 1-2 adn we haven’t even gotten to the WRs yet! No, Cable is intentionally trying to mislead everyone to provide justification for his stupidity. Russell’s drops vs Bruce’s wasn’t even close.

3pt ball game and you bench the QB for what you say is inaccuracy and misreading 2 plays! Ridiculous! Since when is 17/24 MINIMUM if these players had hands considered inaccurate? That’s 71% CABLE!

    Get a freakin clue!

To me it doesn’t matter if its one player or the other – Russell threw to who was OPEN. They just dropped everything. So lets for the sake of argument assume he went for the safer, higher percentage throws, at the expense of the deep shot. Do you blame him? And they still dropped it! Trying to get at least some momentum going is not a bad thing Cable.

Cable argues with him when he’s aggressive & now he’s arguing with him being conservative. My head would be spinning too!

  80. Dakota Says:

    Raider Press conference, January 2010:

Herrera: ladies and gentlemen, my I present to you his excellency, lord of lords, king of all things football, the man with the plan, the big man on campus, Managing General Partner Mr. Al “I am the Raiders” Daaaaaaaaaavis!

Al: Thank you, thank you. Glad to see all of you media bastards could make it today. First thing I want to say is that over the past seven seasons the media, ESPN in particular, has painted the Raiders in an unfair light which has deeply affected our ability to do business. I have contacted Jeff Birren, Raiders general counsel, and I am pursing legal avenues to force the Media to tell the truth about the Raiders…myself in particular. I am putting you professional liars out of business once and for all.

Now on to the real business at hand. The greatness of the Raiders is more than just a saying, it is a physical manifestation of the will of one man…me. That greatness shall continue on in the future through my force of will!

However, for seven years now I have stepped away from the day to day managing of my franchise and that has been a mistake that I am now correcting.

I will no longer allow guys like Art Shell to draft Michael Huffs.

I will not allow another Kiffin to trade a Moss.

I will never again allow Amy Trask to hire another Tom Cable.

I will never again allow a Tom Cable to draft a wide receiver that can’t catch and a safety that can’t cover.

I will not allow another Kiffin to saddle this franchise with an overpaid, overhyped moronic quarterback.

I will never again allow a Herrera to mess up a contract negotiation with a top pick.

I will never again allow a Mike Taylor to fail to uncover spousal abuse by a coaching candidate.

I will never again allow a head coach to have compete control over all roster moves and coaching choices as I have allowed the previous 7 head coaches.

I will never again allow the coaches to ignore the offensive line in the draft.

I will never again allow coordinators to run their own schemes.

The time has come for change, and that change will be a blast from the past. The players on our roster are far from perfect, but I can envision long bombs from Russell to Bey. I can envision a dominating defense with a four man rush that will take the oppositions quarterback down hard. Only I can see these things…so many have failed me for so long that I now feel that I have but only one choice….

I have decided to come out of retirement and lead the Raiders to greatness as the head coach. I have neglected my child too long and now I am back to fix what so many others have broken!

Thank you all for coming and don’t forget…I’ll see you in court.

  81. jhill Says:

    Terrapin,

You and I pretty much agree on this. Cable is clueless! And when the folks who went to the game actually pointed out that Cable was responding to the crownd when he benched JR, it made all the sense in the world. Typical Cable move, doing what he thinks everyone else wants him to do.

Richochet’s post on Cable wearing two hats is dead on.

Cable is doing ZERO game management b/c he is trying to figure out what play to call. How many times have we’ve seen the QB just sitting there waiting on Cable to give him the play? How many TO have we burned, or barely gotten the play off b/c the QB is getting to the LOS with 10 seconds or less?

And yes, the QB is only looking at one side of the field! The side that Miller and Murphy are on, and NOT the side DHB is on, lol!

I hope that AD Football can see what his beloved Big Play offense and drafting players solely on atheleticism and potential with little to no regard to football skill and discipline has done to this team and it’s fan base over the past 7 years.

I have a 13 year old son and he likes the Jacksonville Jaguars more than the Raiders, I asked him why a couple Sundays ago and he told me that the Raiders were losers! 99. The Real MaddenRaider Says:

King and Crenshaw, you don’t think Al knows about how bad the attendance is? My question is, why is he letting this go on? He won’t build a team, fine. Why not 2 for 1 deals? Anything to fill those seats up? He’s allowing that stadium to run dry for some reason. Why? That’s my question.

Do anything to make it look like the Raider Nation is still strong and mobilized! He’s letting the stadium run dry. He’s letting the raider nation look like a fairweather fan base. Either he’s getting out of Oakland, or he doesn’t care anymore. Which is it, naysayers to my sound theories?

  103. The Real MaddenRaider Says:

And if Al’s trying to get out of Oakland that explains why the team’s not winning. Are Raider fans rooting for a team that’s being sabotaged by its owner? 114. The Real MaddenRaider Says:

btw, just so you know, because it’s obvious now you don’t, and your knowledge of football is limited to score keeping, Al Davis being the “managing general partner”, in LEGAL terms, means that he’s in charge of EVERYTHING. Ticket sales, promotions, every single thing. So what in the heck are you talking about when you say Al isn’t in charge of ticket sales? The only time he wasn’t was when the OFMA was in control of the tickets. That’s no longer the case. So explain your point. If Al’s not in charge of ticket promotions, who is?

If you have a bye week and are coming out of it playing a division rival who is probably the only other team in the world more horrible than yourself, shouldn’t you have a game plan that comes out and puts them on their heels and makes them have to make corrections to stop you! or at least make you look like you know something about how to play football?

That is why Cable should be fired, not for yanking Russell or continuing to start DHB and not Walker, or not pounding the rock with Bush, or not using McFadden wide or on punt and kick returns, or for not benching Jamarcus earlier in the season.

Cable should be fired for not being capable of coming up with game plan that succeeds after 2 weeks to prepare against a 1-7 Chiefs team.

Tebow is a guy I wouldn’t touch in the 1st or probably even the 2nd round.

  131. JB Says:

Well if we are making up crazy predictions, how about the Browns fire Eric Mangini & his staff. Mangini comes to Oakland as the next HC bringing with him an old face familiar to the faithful – Rob Ryan to assume the DC position. That’s not a prediction, that’s an absolute nightmare.

I found an article the other day from 2004 that seemed to indicate some interest in Weis by Al Davis.

However, due to the Patriots long playoff run Al was unable to wait for Weis to interview and he ended up at Notre Dame.

Weis is not expected to last past this year and would be released in plenty of time to be interviewed.

Of course, the Browns will be looking for a coach as well and Weis could be reunited with Brady Quinn.

  135. Chris in NY Says:

    Fassel and Locker 2010.

  136. Chris in NY Says:

From what I’ve read Locker is probably the No. 1 NFL QB prospect right now. As bad as we are we may still wind up behind St. Louis and Cleveland in the draft and he may already be gone. I’d love to see him in Silver & Black though. He’s got “it”.

  137. Chris in NY Says:

The more I think about it and look at it Locker is clearly the No. 1 QB in this class. Bradford and McCoy play with superior athletes and make a lot of wide-open passes. Clausen has arguably the best WR duo in the country. Watch the games and watch the highlights and you just get the sense that Locker is on another level.

  138. priesttj Says:

Chris, Mike Vick will be a Raider in 2010. It’s the one thing that could jump start this franchise in a year. If we can get him as a FA then other positions such as a MLB.

I’m still in a state of shock at just how stupid Cable is to go away from the running game when we were dominating. He said during the bye week that he saw clearly that we were a run first team and at the drop of a hat he starts dropping Russell back in pass formation. I sat there stupified in total disbelief that this guy could be this stupid.

Then when the game is on the line with less than a minute we are throwing to DHB instead of Chaz it’s freakin’ mind boggling just how stupid this is. We gave the game to the Chiefs for no apparent reason other than we’re trying to ge DHB involved way before he’s ready. It’s crazy.

I don’t know. College game is different. Weiss may just be able to recruit top talent, not necessarily be an extraordinary judge of it. No doubt Michael Floyd and Golden Tate are the best WR duo in college and Clausen is one of the best QBs, but Weiss’ teams have yet to beat a single big-time opponent and have lost to Navy 2 of the last 3 seasons. This despite consistently having one of the top-rated recruiting classes in the country.

    =================================================
No, No, and No. The players are trying to get out of Oakland, Davis has lost touch with many of the connections he had and has diminished influence. Anybody in their right mind knows that a municipality would have to accept him as the owner. Only way he’s losing “on purpose” is to prove he is right and others are wrong. He’d rather “be right” at the expense of his “legacy”, then for the good of its players, fans and employees.

He has refused to accept where he is and rather than admitting problems and seeking solutions, he is continually trying to re-invent or find a “diamond-in-the-rough”. I willsay this. He did have the right idea. QB play has ultimately pulled franchises out of the muck (New England, Indianapolis (remember when Gruden’s team beat them?), and San Diego). When the Raiders were winning, the quarterback play was much more even – Raiders were playing against Kordell Stewart’s Jay Fiedler’s and L.T. had just got to the league. Raiders were able to do more with less. Now, Davis tried to find a franchise QB, and it backfired. Russell simply IS NOT the face of the franchise, nor has it appears that he wants to be.

It’s inevitable, a coaching change will occur in Oakland, probably at the end of this regular season. Tom Cable couldn’t improve on the final two wins of the 2008 NFL season, partly because of the personnel on the field, but also due to his abilities as a coach, or inabilities. Cable’s high-profile legal issues are well documented and that certainly plays a part in his eventual dismissal.

If Al Davis remains in charge of football operations he should consider a “professional” coach who has a history with the Raiders, Marc Trestman.

Trestman is currently the 53 year old head coach of the Canadian Football League’s, Montreal Alouettes. He had the Alouettes (Als) in the Grey Cup (league championship) in his first season (’08) and now has them poised to return, with a CFLs best record, 13-2.

The Als should win it all this season, and Trestman is responsible for the high octane offensive that the Als have displayed in the last two seasons.

    So why Trestman?

Well, he’s smart (a law degree), articulate, and has a terrific football pedigree and above all, Al Davis knows who he is.

    Therefore, who is Marc Trestman?

Trestman entered football coaching at the University of Miami in 1981 as a volunteer coach while getting his law degree. In 1983 he was named quarterbacks coach. That same year, quarterback Bernie Kosar passed for 2,329 yards and Miami won the national championship. The next year, Kosar completed 262 passes for 3,642 yards, both school records.

Trestman then moved to the NFL and coached the running backs with the Minnesota Vikings in 1985 and 1986, Bud Grant introduced him to the NFL. He became Quarterbacks coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1987 then held the same position with the Cleveland Browns in 1988.

In Cleveland, he again coached Kosar and the team finished 10-6 and made the playoffs (Yes, the Browns). He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 1989. That year Kosar passed for 3,533 yards and 18 TDs, wide receiver Webster Slaughter had a franchise record 1,236 receiving yards, and the Browns made it to the AFC Championship game (yes, the Browns).

In 1990, Trestman returned to Minnesota as quarterbacks coach for the Vikings. He spent two years there and then left coaching for three years. He returned to the NFL in 1995 as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator with San Francisco, where he served in that capacity through 1996.

49er’s coach George Seifert made Trestman learn the “West Coast” offensive. The first year he was there, the 49ers led the NFL with 457 points scored, 644 pass attempts and 4,779 passing yards (Steve Young likes him, too).

Trestman moved to the Detroit Lions as quarterbacks coach in 1997. That year Lion’s quarterback Scott Mitchell passed for 3,484 yards, second most in team history (yes, the Lions).

In 1998 he was with the Arizona Cardinals as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. That year quarterback Jake Plummer threw for 3,737 yards, and the Cardinals made the playoffs for the first time since 1982 and won their first post season game in 51 years (way before Fitzgerald and company).

Trestman next went to the Oakland Raiders in 2001 as Rich Gannon’s quarterbacks coach. In 2002 he was promoted to offensive coordinator and the Raiders led the NFL in total offense with 389.8 yards per game and passing yards with 279.7 per game (the last time they did that).

That same Raider team made it to the Super Bowl but lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rich Gannon gave much credit to Trestman for his MVP Season (take a look at the photo inscription from Gannon to Trestman).

Trestman spent the 2004 season with the Miami Dolphins and in 2005 he returned to college football as the North Carolina State Wolfpack offensive coordinator.

Trestman was named head coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League in December of 2007. The Als narrowly lost 22-14 to the Calgary Stampeders in the 2008 Grey Cup championship game, that should change this year.

Marc Trestman is an offensive minded coach above all else, with an understanding of the running game, deep ball, and west-coast style. Therefore, he is ready for the NFL of the 21st Century.

Trestman did interview with the Raiders for the Offensive Coordinator position in January of 2009, so Al Davis is well aware of Marc’s body of work after he left the Raiders in 2003.

Why hasn’t Trestman been given a head coaching position in the NFL?

I say perception, he doesn’t look like a NFL head coach, which is sad. He’s also been the victim of complete staff dismissals.

    Any former coaching comparisons?

Well, if your looking for a comparison, look no further than Marv Levy. Sure, there are many differences between the NFL and CFL, but I’m a firm believer that the qualities to lead, communicate and getting your players to believe are the same whether there are three downs or four, whether there are 11 or 12 men on the field. Marv Levy understood that, and he was one of the most successful NFL head coaches of all time, and he came from the CFL.

He led those same Montreal Alouettes to two championships (’74 & ’77). As a former Montrealer, I fondly remember the 1977 Grey Cup on the frozen turf of the Olympic Stadium, with a record crowd of over 63 thousand.

Both Trestman and Levy are certainly not flashy, but right now the Raiders need a different kind of coach, a smart one and a winning one.

  173. neilb Says:

Every time I turn on my computer and look up the nfl news I’m expecting to see Cable sacked. Now that Dick’s gone and Zorn gone at the end of the season-shouldn’t the Raiders just get on with it before we’re left with coaches that nobody wants ?

  174. hwnrdr Says:

Love that Huey Lewis reference!!! Same here 4eva…but, what can we do? Well, we historically are supposed to lose to really good teams at which I think the Bengals are. If it wasn’t for that fluke at the end of week one, they would be 8-1 instead of 7-2. However, we beat Philly when we wasn’t supposed to, and remember 2003 when Randy Moss and the high flying Vikings came to town?

  195. vegas raider Says:

Good chat from Jerry yesterday, one of his best yet, IMO.

He backed up a lot of my thoughts, the O-line played real well and is the least of the offenses issues, even some of the “drops” were on tough passes to catch and on some potentially meaningless dumpoffs, and Darren has been more disappointing than Jamarcus.

Keep up the good work Jerry!!!

  196. AbusedByAl Says:

That Bleacher Report site offers good reading on all things football and all. Just discovered it yesterday or so, but I like it!

Isnt today the day when Cable wants to reveal who will start the next game? What suspense… :-)

Realistically we must lose against the Bengs, but then again, somehow we managed to win against Philly. So anything is possible. I won’t be surprised any which way. I personally want to see Frye as QB and see some action from WR Walker. And goddammit, DHB, please stretch out your hands and concentrate on catching the ball first before thinking of any after-catch heroics. Hint: It’s much easier if you never take the eyes of the ball. Just catch it and roll over. That’s all we are asking at this point. Thank you!

  197. hwnrdr Says:

and you know, that was left us in ruins after 2003. our team was too old after the SB run! We have a lot of youngsters that with the right coaching, we could turn the corner. As for dropping passes…how can you be a receiver, when all your life that is what you worked on and still can’t catch a darn pass!?

  198. vegas raider Says:

I hear everyone talking about drafting a QB and you here the typical names: Clausen, Tebow, McCoy, Bradford and Locker.

IMO, Clausen is the only one of the group who will be a starting NFL QB. McCoy’s scrambling ability will be washed in the NFL and he has a noodle arm. Bradford is real accurate, and even more frail. Tebow won’t even be drafted as a QB and Locker is the product of big stats on a crappy team.

The guy to watch out for, IMO, is Andy Dalton of TCU. He is a Junior, but he is by far the best QB I have seen this year. Accurate, NFL arm, and a leader. They will be in a BCS bowl and you will than see for yourselves.

Had another thought. What about Ty Wilhingham as a potential HC candidate? They have to interview a minority for the Rooney rule, and I can’t imagine them trotting in Lofton for the 3rd year in a row.

  199. RaiderTW Says:

You’re right 4evaRaider. For my 2 cents i would want Tressman or Harbaugh. I remember all too well Gruden’s game plans, he proved with the Tamp@ns that Gannon had more to do with us winning & the attitude change. Al going to the happy hunting ground would change the Raiders attitude alot too.

  200. Copenhagen_Fan Says:

I hate the thought of using a high pick on a QB so soon.

I’d rather see us get some big hogs or guys who can stop the run on D.

I’d rather see us try to establish the run again and play tough D and let JaMarcus improve with his young WR’s.

It’s weird that we have better running backs and O line now than we had with Kiffin and we were in the top five and ten in rushing those two years and now we can’t even do that!

If we had been focusing on the run all year and kept JaMarcus in the background and not tried to make him a playmaker we might have 3 more wins right now.

Kiffin’s approach was not that bad. He used to run on third and 5 and get more first downs than we do now.

  201. hwnrdr Says:

Hey Vegas…is Clausen a jr or sr? You’re right though, I wouldn’t want anyone else. But do we really need another qb in the top 10?

  202. 4evaRaider Says:

Vegas…I think TCU has 2 play Texas…If they do that will be a good QB match-up,imo

  203. 4evaRaider Says:

Copenhagen…Kiffin had the “luxary” of having Tom Cable as an O-line coach lol

  204. 4evaRaider Says:

    luxury sorry

  205. r8dr4lfe21 Says:

    5. Gruden
    6. Fassel (god please no)
    7. Jim Zorn (we have talent for him to coach)
    8. Hackett
    9. Charlie Weiss
    10. Gannon as HC, Romonowski DC, Tressman as OC or HC, Seymour as assistant D-line coach and player.
We can dream cant we lol.
Anyways who do think is more likely to be our next Head coach.

  206. DIRT-LOT FOOTBALL Says:

    U BEAT ME 2 IT 4EVA, POST-203,GOOD STUFF..

  207. vegas raider Says:

    Hwndr,

I really think Clausen (a JR) and maybe Bradford are the only potential top 10 guys. McCoy and Tebow won’t be picked in the first round, and Locker will probably be a combine warrior and make the first-round.

That’s why I would like a guy like Dalton, probably a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

    4eva,

TCU will beat Texas if they play, but I bet Texas will play in the championship game against the winner of Florida-Alabama, and the loser will play TCU. TCU also has this WR named Jeremy Kerley that is sick, and Jerry Hughes who is a top 10 pick DE, and even saw mock drafts where he went like 3rd.

TCU is underrated by the national media. They beat Oregon and Boise last year, barely lost in Oklahoma and played a tougher game against Utah than Alabama did. This year they throttled Clemson in Clemson and pounded both Utah and BYU. I can’t wait to get points with them in a BCS game, I will UNLOAD!!!

  208. hwnrdr Says:

Yup, that he did! Just a stupid thought running through my head…if SD has another meltdown at the end of the playoffs and Norv gets fired…why not demote Cable back to the line with that guy from Cal, hire Norv as OC, get a REAL wide receivers coach, and find a good prospect to be HC? Maybe what Vegas siad about Ty Wilhingham (sp?). Just a thought?

  217. Dakota Says:

I would love Clausen, but he is just a junior (although almost a three year starter) and we are the Raiders = clueless on how to develop QBs.

Pick o-line, D-line and LBs. Pick up a vet QB to push Russell and sign a coach that has a fukkin clue.

  221. Dakota Says:

Just as the Gallery pick seems to have frightened old Al away from drafting tackles in the first round, I am sure the Russell pick means we will not pick a QB in the first round for the rest of Al’s life.

Until Al Davis realizes that offensive line is the most important position on the field, we will continue to suck.
    ________________

What amazes me is that Al should know better than anyone that the most important part of an offense is the o-line…without an o-line your fancy QB, RBs and WRs can’t do a thing. You’d think the guy that won Super Bowls because of the Art Shells and Gene Upshaws on his team should know better…he must really think the offense won back then due to Cliff Branch, lol…unreal.

  224. 4evaRaider Says:

Well Cincy is coming 2 town having SWEPT both the steAlers and the Ravens 4 the 1st time in their history.Rey-Rey isnt much on the stat sheet but he knows how 2 stick his head in a hole and string-out a play.We really need 2 go defence bedause we still soft up the gut

  225. vegas raider Says:

    Kirk,

Did you read Jerry’s chat yesterday? Jerry thinks the O-line looked very good, and said protection really hasn’t been an issue. We outrushed the Chiefs by 80 yards and lost. O-line isn’t the problem.

Would our offense be better right now with Eugene Monroe or Percy Harvin?

  226. hwnrdr Says:

At least Percy knows how to catch the ball…

  227. 4evaRaider Says:

    and has returned 2 KO’s 4 TD’s I might add

  228. hwnrdr Says:

I would like to finally see the coaching staff utilize the strengths of these so called “fast” players. Set up the reverse with not only Higgins, but use DHB or McFadden as well. Put DHB on kick off returns. Use the slant more to get the WR’s the ball. I don’t know, am I missing anything?

  229. 4evaRaider Says:

its seems like Jmac 4got how 2 throw those kinds of passes

  230. JB Says:

Why isn’t DMac returning KO & Punts? Why isn’t DMac playing slot receiver. Why isn’t he the ball carrier on reverses? He has speed, some skills &^ talent but RB is NOT where he belongs – he’s far too easy to knock down. He may have been able to play RB in college but not in the NFL. The same goes for other mispositioned players.

Out O-line sucks no matter what Jerry says. Satele is mediocre at best. Carlisle is way past his prime. And Green, well do I really have to say anything more? Hendersen & Gallery are fine and will do well. Right now I say put Walker in at RG and almost anybody, I take that back – not Pears, at RT. I’d still sit JaBustus until his weight is down below 250# and he becomes a little more mobile. Now just run the damn ball! Double TE power formations, screens & slants. That’s called ball control. Go down the field, score points, eat up the clock and win games. That’s how it’s done. Just WIN.

  231. vegas raider Says:

I sure hope Bruce gets the nod today. Practice would probably have a little more zip the next few days.

I really think it is debatable that from today on, Bruce Gradkowski will have a better NFL career than Jamarcus Russell.

  232. 4evaRaider Says:

It ALL comes back 2 the 1st day of camp this year.By being over-weight Jmacs mechanics are off and thats bad enough as it is but…this has now gone from his physical side to his conscious side. All this that is happening is fuggin his brain up.Classic fall of the dominoes concerning the sub-conscious,imo

  233. vegas raider Says:

Russell’s season high of completions is 17, and averages 10 completions for 115 yards per game this year.

Bruce starts and plays the whole game, and he might have more than 17 completions in his first game, and easily will do better than 10 for 115 yards.

    Anyone disagree?

  234. JB Says:

JaBustus has been ruined by the money he received. He’s young & now officially rich. Why should he be concerned? He’s 21 and has the world by the ballz. He’s undisciplined, non-motivated, lazy, overweight and did I mention “RICH”. Why would he be concerned? He’s paying more in property taxes each year than most of us pay on mortgages each year. He’s got AD in the corner telling him how great he’s going to be and no one else kicking him in the ass because that’s not allowed per AD. Face it, he’s just a young dumb lazy rich kid who could really care less and it really has showed.

BTW, here’s his home in the Oakland Hills:

    http://www.sportshometribune.com/images/jarus1fin2.JPG

  235. 4evaRaider Says:

We all watched him…he couldnt hit a WR or even a RB on a 3 yard pass .And he’s done this sort of thing all his life. When he tried t throw a little screen to whoever not more than 5 yards away,he throws it in the dirt…total loss of confidence perpetuated by not only his ineptness but as fate would have it 2 rookie WR’s and injures 2 his o-line.Yep this young man is over-whelmed just by circumstance, soo he really needs 2 watch another QB and take the weight of the organization off his shoulders 4awhile…even tho his own actions brought this about. He didnt study or practice and all the cosmic flow is against him,imo

  236. vegas raider Says:

When you look at our recent draft history, the one position that truly has been neglected, is the LB position. Thomas Howard is our only 1st or 2nd rounder drafted recently. No suprise that stopping the run continues to be an issue, especially giving up the big runs.

While Gallery was a bust for the first couple years, he has now emerged as one of the best linemen to come from the that years draft. Not THE best, but in the top 3 or 4. Mario Henderson is working on putting himself in that same category for his years draft. Hasn’t done a thing to help our offense.

  237. Larz Says:

I don’t beleive that a QB change will make much difference.
We could have won with the QB we had in the game on Sunday.

Clang Clang Penalty Penalty….song goes on.

  238. JB Says:

If Mitchell was such a great find to pick him in the second round, why isn’t he playing and getting game time? All first & second round talent should be starters or worst case significant contributors. As I see it, Mitchell is none of that so far. Another draft boondoggle? Me thinks quite possibly!

  239. 4evaRaider Says:

    it will make a diffrence 2 Jmac,imo

We have to hope so. Failing miserably on the field and being called out in the press, hasn’t done it.

  241. 4evaRaider Says:

4 his own good it will

  242. Larz Says:

After having Murphy,DHB drop sure passes and a penalty JR comes back with a beauty to Chaz that should have iced the game.

FLAG!! the kid can make plays, but for god sake football is a team game.

JR did not cost us that game on Sunday and he was deprived of the chance to win it.

Not how you develop a young QB.

  243. Larz Says:

We should have drafted Trent Edwards!!!

He can at least get a Coach fired.

Gradkowski did help get Gruden fired but was only a supporting cast member.

Maybe Charlie Frye can get Cable fired.

Whoever comes in for JR will have Cable fired after they fall flat on their face too.

Then you go back to JR and he has no faith in the coaching staff.
    Around and around we go.

Get a veteran receiver on the feild…anyone…friken Bobby Ingram…anyone.
And get a new play caller.

QB is 3%-5% of the problem.

  244. vegas raider Says:

LOL at Jamarcus being deprived!! Really??? What has he earned? I think he earned the right to be benched, by his continual awful performances on Sundays.

Did you see his last 3 passes Larz? After the Satele penalty (great play-call by Cable, BTW) Jamarcus hit a Chiefs DB Flowers right in the numbers and he dropped it. Could have costed us a chance to tie the game (Seabass missed the FG anyway). Then two awful passes to Meyers, and apparently missed the “read” as well.

Bruce didn’t do any better for awhile, but give him the rest of the week, and you will see a difference on Sunday.

Alright got a few things to do for work, we will pick this up in the afternoon after Bruce gets the nod.

  245. El Tato Says:

If Mitchell was such a great find to pick him in the second round, why isn’t he playing and getting game time? All first & second round talent should be starters or worst case significant contributors. As I see it, Mitchell is none of that so far. Another draft boondoggle? Me thinks quite possibly!

    ……………………………………………

I think thats just bad luck that the year we draft him Huff starts to play like a first rounder and Branch, a 4th round pick is playing at a very high level. Safety play has been excellent this season. They are playing Mitchell at LB in some packages just to give him playing time.

  246. 4evaRaider Says:

Larz… in a sense he has cost us every game because he CANT do anything right which has snow-balled out of control .We was never in any game imo, because Jmac is not prepared to be in any game, imo.

  247. Charlie Says:

With all due respect, the area of greatest neglect on the Raiders during the draft has been on the offensive line followed closely by the Dline.
During this decade the Raiders have used their first two picks of the draft on the lines only 20% of the time.

That is the lowest total of any decade the Raiders have existed.

It is not a coincidence that we are also on the worst performing seven year run in the history of the franchise.

There is nothing certain about any draft but clearly, the first and second round picks yield more NFL caliber players than the last two rounds of the draft.

Do you really think Bryant is as good as Ngata?
Just because Bryant plays does not mean he will produce at a WINNING LEVEL.

The same can be said for Carlisle and Green.
Why do you think they were availble?
Look at the garbage we have tried.
    Pears,Barnes,Walker. Ridiculous.

It is obvious why we are an embarrasment.

BUILD THE LINES WITH OUR HIGH PICKS!

  248. El Tato Says:

BUILD THE LINES WITH OUR HIGH PICKS!

    …………………………..

Agree, everything start in the trenches

  249. Trolls 35 Raiders 0 Says:

Question :?: since you guys have already named the OAK/KC game the toilet bowl  What are you naming the DET/CLE game :?:

  250. Larz Says:

If he was a poor QB making league minimum, this would all be OK!!??

He wrote those cheques to himself?

He forced the Raiders to draft him?

Matt Leinhart can’t even start on his team, parties like the Stones and he’s just developing with a clip board in his hands.

A real player would be screaming for a trade.
We will accept JR better if he says “yeah this backup gig is nice”
Not what I want to see.

Bring them all in and leave JR on the bench.
    Frye,Ferrotte,Garcia,Collins.

HOF pay attention the Raiders have a bus load of saviors on the way.
Do they have a catigory for bus drivers?

This is the best thing to happen to Cable, a QB contraversy..should buy him another month of excuses.

    Suckers!

  251. los raiders de don rober Says:

If I were an NFL owner with not enough cash flow to pay off a debt where could I get extra money?… Just a Mexican idea: I’d hire lame duck players (Javon & the scholarship boys) to huge contracts and force them to give me money back under the table. I would also reach and overpay in the draft, while pre-negotiating that the agent and player pay me back some money under the table…. This way I couldn’t be accused of not trying to shore up a roster, (I’d be acused of over-paying, and being senile) and I’d still have cash flow coming in from under the table….any thoughts on that one?

  252. DMAC Says:

    Good morning Nation!

  253. DMAC Says:

The O-line is not the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  254. Larz Says:

I saw eight to ten drops, I saw 10 penalties that were mental errors at key times of the game.

I would love to have the faith that by putting in a career backup in (see McCown) will change our offense.

  255. DMAC Says:

The MAIN problem besides Al Davis is……………….
    Jadeadly, Cable, and the WR’s!!

  256. neilb Says:

    Freaking car’s still not fixed.

  257. jhill Says:

    Vegas,

It is really surprising to me how much I disagree with you, while almost agreeing with you, lol!

Would probably be a great time to just sit down for a few hours and chop it up with a couple of beers and some Kush!

It just really surprises me that a man with your professional background is on Russell more than Cable. Personell and play calling have WITHOUT question been the downfall of this team. NOT having the bahlls to implement HIS plan lke Kiffin and Gruden did. It’s Cable to me.

There are so many signs of being unprepared on this team, it’s crazy! Penalties, drops, confusion in the secondary, LBs not covering gaps, bad STs play, overall lathargic play by half the team.

The QB and WRs are a small part of the problem, IMO. I can’t understand for the life of me how Russell is fat. He is at the facility at least 8 hours a day. During those 8 hours, he is an employee and has to do what he is told. Why isn’t he on the treadmill 2 hours a day? Why aren’t the WRs and QBs working with each other until the pass out on the field. The WRs are dropping Grads passes too, so WTF?

Cable doesn’t have ANYTHING going right with this team. And he Oline IS a problem. Have been all year. Penalties are just asa bad as giving up a sack or blowing an assignment.

  258. 4evaRaider Says:

De Don Rober…I like that way of thinking, thats my thoughts =)

  259. HairyBush Says:

Am I the only one that thinks Larry Johnson is going to run all over us this weekend? I swear he just signed with Cincy so he could start off on the right foot. (playing the Raiders of course)

  260. neilb Says:

Damn……missed that Larry thing.100+ yards for Larry this weekend.

  261. DMAC Says:

He’ll probably come in for a few snaps, after C. Benson runs all over us.

  262. HairyBush Says:

Let the Dick Jauron talk begin lol

I do not want him as our coach but being a “nice guy” as well as a pushover makes him Al material doesn’t it? besides no one else will want him except maybe as a cordinator.

It used to be during bad seasons I could see some promise down the road, it’s dwindling daily.

  263. HairyBush Says:

    isn’t benson hurt?

  264. 4evaRaider Says:

What I’m seeing is the players are still not exacuting,no matter the play calling,if a QB cannot throw a ball and any reciever cant catch a ball, the best prepared team to ever play the game wouldnt win

  265. neilb Says:

Who was the last first round pick who actually produced for the Raiders ? I’ve got Woodson…..is there anyone earlier ?

  266. neilb Says:

    ……from day 1.Forget Nnamdi.

  267. HairyBush Says:

Santa, all I want for Christmas is John Gruden, a genereal manager, Al davis to have his larynx and hands removed and oh yeah Peyton Manning. Is that to much to ask? thank-you life long Raider fan

p.s. Santa if you can’t get me Peyton I’ll take his 16 year old 3rd cousin antonio from deleware.

  268. 4evaRaider Says:

    Sea Bass

  269. HairyBush Says:

    *general

  270. DMAC Says:

    Rickey Dudly
    LMAO

  271. neilb Says:

Sea bass ? A kicker but I’ll give you that one.

  272. neilb Says:

    DMAC……now that’s just being nasty.

  273. 4evaRaider Says:

sounds like its time 4a new car Neilb =)

  274. neilb Says:

    4eva….

It’s been over-heating.Couldn’t see any leaks or damage….so must be a sensor.

Nope, changed the sensor and still doing it.Garage is now talking about a cylinder head problem.
All I know is that it’s costing me a bomb and pi$$ing me off.

If it get’s me though to the summer and I’ve still got a job…..then it’s gone.

  275. 4evaRaider Says:

if it was a cylinder head Neilb there would be white steam coming out of your tail-pipe

  276. 909RaiderLifer Says:

Happy 61st. Birthday to, Jack Tatum…

  277. 4evaRaider Says:

  278. DMAC Says:

    And the list goes on…………..

  279. 4evaRaider Says:

man 909 we could sure use Tatums leadership out there

  280. neilb Says:

No white steam. They got it all day tomorrow to find out whats wrong.

  281. neilb Says:

    “They’ve”….. sorry.

  282. neilb Says:

    Happy Birthday Mr.Tatum.

  283. 4evaRaider Says:

Napolean Kaufman now there is truly a GREAT RB,imo

  284. jhill Says:

    4eva,

I’m really talking about Monday through Friday, before we even get to the plays being called on Sunday.

If the QB is not in shape, players don’t know their assignments, etc … those are all practice issues to me.

Remember Kiffin and his we are going to practice it until we get it right stuff? Well remember Cable specifically addressing that and saying he was NOT going to do that? How obvious is it that that is exactly what is going on. LMFAO, man! Practice it until you get it right!

Like Terrapin was saying, even though ALL we did was run the ball under Kiffin, at least we did it well because we practiced it until we got it right. Top 5 rushing attack. These guys are playing like they practice, plain and simple.

  285. 909RaiderLifer Says:

    Neilb…

If it were a cylinder head issue, the car would run like crap.

The first thing to check, on any car is the thermostat, then the radiator (for flow restictions/ leaks), then sensors…. oh, the electric fan, if so epuipped…

  286. neilb Says:

The point about the first round picks…..

I was watching the Pats/Colts game and the number of times it was pointed out that a rookie tackle was playing for the Pats and both corners for the Colts shocked me.Okay they were playing because of injuries but it had me thinking why can’t one of our picks come into a game and make a difference.

  287. neilb Says:

All those things are working fine and they’ve changed the thermostat/sensor.

It only overheats when I’m hitting 60 to 70 mph.Around the days – nothing.

  288. jhill Says:

    2006-Huff
    2005-Washington
    2004-Gallery
    2003-Asomugha

    —————————————————–

These are ALL solid NFL starters, at a minimum. You could argue that Huff is playing at a pro bowl level.

    —————————————————–

    2008- DMAC
    2007- Jadeadly

These 2 guys looked like they might develop into something last year. You think Rathman isn’t missed?

  289. 4evaRaider Says:

Jhill…these are grown men that get lots of $$$$$$$,and 4 some reason they cant correctly throw OR catch that lil-o-ball.The thing they been doing ALL THEIR LIVES they are not doing, why???

The basic idea is to advance the ball and in order 2 do that the play the coach calls must be physically achieved by the players. If you cant receive a pass from your QB,you cannot advance the ball lol

  290. HairyBush Says:

    2010 starting offense

    Head coach-John Gruden
    Qb-David Carr
    Wr-Chaz Schileins
    Wr-Loius Murphy
    Wr-Javon Walker
    Rb-Mike Bush
    Rb-3rd down and gadget plays-Darren Mcfadden/Cribbs
    Kr/-Joshua Cribbs
    Pr-Joshua cribbs

  291. 909RaiderLifer Says:

    4eva….

I was lucky enough a few years back, to get Jack’s autograph and b.s. with for a few minutes at a charity event. I said pretty much that to him. His reply was: “I couldn’t play with the way the rules are today.”

  292. 4evaRaider Says:

or in other words the players must complete their job sucessfully first to see the coaches plan come 2 fruition

  293. DMAC Says:

Is it just me, or are you guys tired of seeing Johnny Lee Scary trying to return punts? Holland is another guy. This is killing our field posstion. I’m tired of waiting for that kid Miller. Let’s find someone to return punts, kick returns. Give DHB of DMAC a try at returning kickoffs. Tyvon Branch was one of the elite return men at UCONN.

  294. 4evaRaider Says:

909… To Jack Tatum it prolly looks like a bunch of girls playin out there =)

  295. 909RaiderLifer Says:

    Neilb…

Sounds like a flow problem, forgot about the water pump. Did they check that?

  296. neilb Says:

    As far as practice goes…….

  297. neilb Says:

    Pumps fine.

Should have said “around the streets”.Doesn’t overheat when it’s standing ticking over, doesn’t overheat at 30-40 mph.

  298. DMAC Says:

The beginning of a blown head gasket.

  299. HairyBush Says:

I don’t even want Johnnie lee on the team anymore, he took a “tatum” hit and never recovered!

  300. 909RaiderLifer Says:

    Neilb….

As a last resort, you can enter that car in a demolition derby, and have some fun. Before you have to bust the bank on a new ride…..lol.

  301. new englandraider Says:

dmac. i agree with u. jlh sux, holland sux. isnt there anyone on the waiver wire who is better than these guys. higgins NEVER runs 4ward. sideways or backwards. st’s are just horrible. wasnt it last yr that miller received kickoff at the 2 yrd line and stepped out of bounds immediately after catching the ball. who is coaching these fuggin fools. i hate jlh. i wish cable would grab him by that stupid looking rat tail on the back of his head and beat the stupid right out of him

  302. neilb Says:

All I know is that it’s costing me money at the wrong time of year.

  303. new englandraider Says:

you’re right dmac its either head gasket.( which WILL NOT ALWAYS throw wht smoke out of exhaust) or engine coolant sensor. ( temperature sensor)

  304. neilb Says:

    909 …

The pain in the backside is that if it was 1 year older I could trade it in on a new model and get 2K of the price of a new one.

  305. neilb Says:

    “off the price”

  306. neilb Says:
