So much for DHB vs. Hall

Looks like the matchup between the receiver who can’t get open and the cornerback who can’t cover anyone won’t come to pass.

Washington cornerback DeAngelo Hall, whose eight-game tenure in Oakland was typified by giving up huge cushions and lot of completions, has already been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Raiders at the Coliseum because of a knee injury, Washington coach Jim Zorn told reporters.

Meanwhile, Darrius Heyward-Bey, who had nine catches for 124 yards despite being targeted 40 times in 11 starts, was not present as practice began, a strong indication he won’t play against the Redskins because of a foot strain.

Notably, Washington has also ruled out defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (ankle) due to an ankle injury, further weakening the NFL’s 24th-ranked run defense, as well as fullback Mike Sellers (thigh bruise).

Raiders defensive end Greg Ellis had his helmet and was talking with fellow defensive linemen as practice began, although he’s done that before and not participated.

More to come later . . .

Man, I am just glad Moss aint never going to win any SB. In my life, I have seen a lot of guys like him with that attitude. I can’t stand guys like that. You can never build a team with those guys.

Here’s to hoping Al gets another one from Bill.

Raider to do list for Sunday :

limit big plays on special teams and on defense (‘skins not good enough to sustain long drives)
pound the rock to control the clock (take pressure off of Grads to have to be a miracle worker)
